Anyone heard when/how Asus intend to resolve this?

It's been fixed in the Prime 1.7 ROM. It's a tweak to services.jar
So I guess it won't be too hard for Asus to release an official fix!

Is there any way to fix it without rooting the tablet? I dont wanna go through all the unrooting pain next time Asus decides to release an OTA...

No, it's a system file. So you'll need root unfortunately.

I don't want to rely on the way some hacker decided was the correct fix. I was hoping there was news on the official fix from Asus and will apply that.
There are many ways of fixing things, but usually there is only one right way...

Agree... This is annoying.
It's rendered one of my Apps (Photaf) totally unusable.

Happening to me, too, in any application that wants to use location services. :/

It's happening to me no matter what. Just sitting at the home screen or flipping through the home pages. Always there for me. I very much want ASUS to fix this soon.

It might have been solved with the latest stock ROM. See this thread from today

Not so much solved as reverted. Asus took all their calibration code out in the new update.

[Q] Silly question about MyContent and MyCloud

Has anyone been able to access these? If so, please let me know how. I don't have an app/link for these anywhere I can see. BTW I have the 32GB version, but that obviously shouldn't matter.

They are in the OTA update that was pulled.

Thanks. I guess its too risky to download that OTA (assuming I can find it). Is that correct?
they pulled the update huh... any idea why? I was really looking forward to mycloud (and a bit baffled when it wasn't on my TF).

I think I'm starting to understand what I previously assumed was just XDA Internet elitism.
OP, you really couldn't be bothered to do the smallest modicum of troubleshooting/research before posting?
nice welcome
Hi
Obviously I made such a research but the issue was that the update was very buggy.
Maybe you guys should do some simple tests before posting non-tested updates which can harm other's work...

This is a developers forum. YOU assume the risks when flashing these roms. If YOU choose to flash customs roms from a development forum without making proper backups then YOU are a moron. As this issue seems only particular to YOUR device I would assume its something YOU have done not the fault of the rom dev.
XDA Developers not (insert your device here) customer service

Version updates aren't possible with Revolver Parts. As Gnufabio pointed out, 3.5 involves new base Asus firmware. Download the whole 240 mb rom from the first post in the Revolver thread, boot into CWM, wipe your cache and Dalvik, flash the full rom from the choose zip update dialog. Then you can use Revolver Parts to handle updates until the next version change update.
There is a certain amount of risk associated with the reward of tweaking your device, if you dont have the time to teach yourself (by reading the heck out of XDA threads), you're likely better off staying stock.

[Q] Has the rebooting issue been fixed?

Is there any ROM that fixed the random reboots or is there any info about the official update? I can't keep my tablet plugged in the whole time.
No.

What's even causing the problem? I find it stupid that they haven't fixed this after so long.
If we knew, it would have been fixed.

Well, it's weird because a lot of people tried to fix the problem without finding the solution. Is there any way to download Honeycomb now? ICS isn't that useful with all the reboots.

Assuming you're on a NVFlashable tablet...
NVFlash: http://androidroot.mobi/download/nvflash.zip
Honeycomb (WW version): http://downloads.tabletroms.com/zerofeel/Transformer/86513/WW/Windows.zip
Guevor's Test kernel eliminated the problem for me, been up and running for 24 hours now without a reboot.

Could you please link me to the thread of the kernel? I find rooting TF101 kind of harder than rooting Galaxy S2 for example so I want to see if rooting again is worth it.

[Q] Should I flash my tablet

Hello everybody,
I'm actually runing 4.1.1 on my tablet and I would like to update it to a fresh new customized rom (such as Hydro 7)! As I bought my tablet directly from the store 5 months ago, I'm quite hesitating... What do you suggest me!
Do it!
+1 do it!
You wont be disappointed. Just make sure you do your homework well and you'll be fine :good:
And dont forget to ask questions when you hesitate. Better safe than sorry.
The TF300T is a very friendly and helpful community
Get-R-Done! It's well worth it.

I say yes.
Make sure you read up on what you need to do prior. Plus contingencies on or about recovery methods. The worst you can do, is have no options for recovery.
Clearly yes. I recommend btw BAKED Rom because of it's customization (link in my sig)
everything important (should be step by step) should be written here btw
I am mainly scary about loosing my warranty...I mean if I have a problem in the future, Asus will not repair my tablet :/

Then don't do it and suffer poor performance instead.

You are right!
Before Unlocking my device, I installed the SDK manager (to check if I had all the needed files/programs), but I can't see the settings described in the guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2041627
PS: I didn't install any driver

Be aware that you might need to register your tablet on the Asus website before the unlock APK will do it's thing. (might take a couple of days after registering before unlock goes through)

I dont know about installing developer tools however i will tell you how much better the tablet runs afterinstalling cleanrom 3.3 with unters overclocked kernel. Superfast, no more pop ups saying something fails to respond. I did still experience slight performance issues when downloading a movie torrent but not as bad like before. When i downloaded on the stock asus tf300t the tablet became a paper weight. I am currently trying data2sd with a sandisk micro class 10 on cleanrom but having issues. I cant seem to get it working right. Going to keep trying
There thousands of posts related to flash/root and none of them are accurate...Can')t understand ppl always referring to them now
This thread really does tempt me to install a custom ROM on my tablet but i have around 3 months left of my warranty so don't know if it's worth the risk. Furthermore, i'm scared of being bricked

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Can't find 4.2.1 (10.6.1.14.4)

Hey all
I've flashed my infinity to the latest update (10.6.1.14.4) but it was dog slow after. So I decided I would reflash and cold boot to see if that would help. Problem is that I cannot find the download for that update. I've gone to ASUS's support page and followed numerous links from various web sites but all end up only showing the previous update (10.4.4.26). Am I going mad? Can anyone else see that update?
Thanks
Alan
yes they removed the latest update im not sure why though.

From what I heard, they removed it due to the bugs affecting Bluetooth and such. I'm wondering when they will release an updated fix...

I'll thank you if he won't! Thanks a ton my dude, I've been looking for this!
Thank you! I'll probably stay at the .25 version of 4.1 since this update was pulled for bugs. It is tempting to do the upgrade and see how things run. Maybe I won't find whatever bugs are present to be annoying.
