Is there any ROM that fixed the random reboots or is there any info about the official update? I can't keep my tablet plugged in the whole time.

What's even causing the problem? I find it stupid that they haven't fixed this after so long.
If we knew, it would have been fixed.

Well, it's weird because a lot of people tried to fix the problem without finding the solution. Is there any way to download Honeycomb now? ICS isn't that useful with all the reboots.

Could you please link me to the thread of the kernel? I find rooting TF101 kind of harder than rooting Galaxy S2 for example so I want to see if rooting again is worth it.

It's been fixed in the Prime 1.7 ROM. It's a tweak to services.jar
So I guess it won't be too hard for Asus to release an official fix!

No, it's a system file. So you'll need root unfortunately.

I don't want to rely on the way some hacker decided was the correct fix. I was hoping there was news on the official fix from Asus and will apply that.
There are many ways of fixing things, but usually there is only one right way...
Agree... This is annoying.
It's rendered one of my Apps (Photaf) totally unusable.
Happening to me, too, in any application that wants to use location services. :/

It's happening to me no matter what. Just sitting at the home screen or flipping through the home pages. Always there for me. I very much want ASUS to fix this soon.
It might have been solved with the latest stock ROM. See this thread from today

Not so much solved as reverted. Asus took all their calibration code out in the new update.
Hi All,
After installing AOKP M5 on my TF101, I face sometimes unexpected reboots without operating any special tasks.
I've done a full wipe and flash again but it still shows the same problem.
Any clue?
Thank you all

No it isn't, I even asked, in that post, if the ROM would solve my problems (no reply until now).
guevnor 17c seems to have solved all my problems.

well by heavy i mean it has some glitches when opening apps and the wireless takes time to connect sometimes an error word located near the small box when you check the wireless from the setting. two days ago i upgraded the firmware from kies directly to XXKP3, pda:XXKPH but when it reached 57% i had to leave the house for an hour and when i returned the internet was down and the upgrade supposedly finished. some changes in the interface like unlocking and calling but the same issues above remained. how can i check if the firmware were probably upgraded and my pervious question how to fix the glitches. i know this is too much to ask my friend.
thank you

I'm on my phone now, so can't check the links, but this sounds like the non- standard panel issue. If so then use search as there is a different kernel which may work for you and a way of testing for this issue.

The issue of the none standard panel only reared its head recently, within this last month I think. Look for 77n kernel in the forum, if you have a panel issue though I'd suggest you hold off for a short time until the problem gets sorted, it will you just need patients

Indeed - I believe it is an issue with all the ICS/JB ROMs having been updated to use v3 kernel and this is where the problem has come from. Have a look at this thread as they mention the way to check which panel you have and also the 82n kernel built by Andromadus which seems to fix the problem.
The kernels won't work with the newest builds, nk111 its looking at the problem next I think.

Thou can't"fix" the problem unless you know about building roms. I suggest you wait till nk111 has a fix, its next in his list so you won't have to wait long. Just keep an eye on the thread.

I've already flashed heaps of stock roms onto it. And the device runs fine when it boots up, so I do not see the need to return it, it's just kind of annoying.
If its faulty then it is usual to return an item .
But if you are prepared to live with the fault that's your choice .
Flashing loads of stock roms = not a firmware problem .

Interesting. Could you get a part number for me?
... but as far as your problem, I wouldn't sweat it. All it appears to be is a mismatched boot image logo to your screen's resolution and depth. I'd look to finding a "logo.bin" (or equivalent) online somewhere, but if I'm right this is truly a cosmetic issue, and one you'll hardly ever see anyway.

The part number on the back of the keyboard is: EKD-K14AWEGSTD. And yeah I hardly ever see that boot logo, I only ever see it when I enter recovery mode or if I reboot my device, so it is not a big deal.

Haha, I wish it was the Samsung Million Dollar Sweepstakes screen. Anyway it does not really bother me that much, because I rarely turn off my device.
Found fix:
Hello all,
I've pulled the latest file from KIES and placed it here:
http://www.peejeshare.com/files/363...RCMA3_813049_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.rar.html
It is compressed into a rar file so you will need to unzip it prior to odin.
I flashed the file using mobile odin and it worked well for me.
Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if this bricks your tablet!
Enjoy!

I'm not 100% sure, because it was a Christmas present. My Mum only said it came with the Tablet.... Not sure if the price of the Tablet was $100 higher because of the keyboard or if it was free, and I'm not going to ask for the price of it. Because well, it is a Christmas present .
