Is this really a flawless mobile phone? - HTC Inspire 4G

HHello Everybody
I was looking at HTC Inspire 4G since some time.
The HTC Inspire 4G is a very new and nice mobile phone on paper as per it's specification.
In spite of that, i can see it being listed in eBay easily for around 200$ USD often.
I can't find even a HTC Desire mobile phone for around 200 $ USD.
HTC Desire S and HTC Increble 4G, both has nearly similar specifications.
In-spite of that HTC Desire S costs way too more than HTC Inspire 4G.
Has HTC Inspire 4G any other major flaws than paltry battery life?

Yea the speaker phone sucks BAD!

You do know that the inspire A9192 is the same phone as the desire HD A9191 except for the radio. It uses 850/1900 for the high speed data (umts/hspa/wcdma or whatever you want to call it). Not sure what your carrier uses but you may want the A9191 instead as that is a european/asian phone with different bands.
Same complaints as every other phone. Sound, gps, battery complaints. The battery is expected. Sound could be better for the media end but functions correctly. The gps may be more of a dropping it, incorrectly configuring it with custom ROMS, or just incorrect use (like trying to use it inside). It is a fundamentally sound phone though. One of the best I have ever used. I have had 0 issues. I have the Telus DHD which is identical to the inspire but sold in canada.

world unlocked working on att 3g

For my job I travel a lot. When I am hear in the us. I use the htc inspire 4g I love the phone and don't want to part from htc android.
I was in the Philippines a few weeks ago walking around the mall their and spotted a phone looking exactly like the inspire. But I think it had a front face camera. I think but not sure if it was the desire hd or not. I cant remember off the top of my head.
I was wondering if their is a HTC android phone out their that is factory unlocked phone that would have a front face camera and would work hear in the US on att 3g network. I believe they are 850 MHz ,1900 MHz bands.
Can anyone help me out if i need to post this some place else on the forums I have no problem with that.
My friend has the htc evo 4g and his got a front face camera. Its on sprint though

No it would not work with ATT 3g, and was likely the desire you saw. Regardless, there are no other HTC phones on the market right now that work with ATT beside the inspire.
The Telus Desire HD can and will work on AT&T but it does not have a camera on the front. As for the Inspire and the HD looking the same that is because they are the same, it is AT&T that hung the stupid inspire name on the phone!!!!! The phone that you saw in the Philippines was the A9191 and the Telus from Canada is the A9192 and the Inspire is the A9192 also.

Cautious on what phone to get, could you help me pick one?

For months now I've been stuck on MetroPCS with the Huawei Ascend. I'm generally a patient person but I've become so angry with this company it's just unreal to me.
Anyway, I'm stuck on this crappy phone with 256 RAM and not even a fast processor.
I've decided to choose Sprint over AT&T (still in debate) and I've chosen a Sprint smartphone, one that I think offers speed and reliability, because it's what I really want out of a phone.
My options are: HTC EVO or the HTC EVO Shift
Which should I get? Which is faster? Help me please.
And a separate other question, is the Samsung Captivate a fast phone for AT&T?
In my opinion the HTC EVO is for people who like doing non essential things like gaming, internet surfing etc. But the HTC EVO shift is for people who text more and use it for business and I think the HTC EVO shift is speedier. Sorry if this was no help since I don't have any specs

Actually, that helped me make my choice. Thanks for the help.
you should check with people on how the service is in your area. Depending on where you are, different carriers may work better than others. Generally though, CDMA networks (such as Sprint and Verizon) work better than GSM networks (T-Mobile and AT&T).
You can typically find a smartphone you will love on any large carrier, so you shouldn't let that determine what carrier you pick
My girlfriends shift is garbage. Id go for the evo. 1ghz vs 806 mhz, more ram, more development, better battery life, pretty much better in every way. Sorry to confuse

I would actually recommend the Epic 4g. I know you asked about the Captivate and while it is a good phone (I previously owned a Vibrant, same model phone but for T-Mobile), the Epic is everything the Captivate is, except its 4g, has a better more sturdy feel, and best of all, a physical keyboard. The Epic is actually the highest rated Samsung Galaxy phone and has comparable specs to the Evo, yet form factor of Evo Shift. Or, hold off another month (I know how hard that can be, I had MetroPCS and could only put up with 4 days before going back to T-Mo) because Samsung IS releasing the Galaxy 2 series of phones. I hope I helped.

So anyone know what the OP picked?

Sorry for the long wait. I chose the Evo 4G. I'm very satisfied with it, and thank you for responding.
Nexus S 4G, no bloatware, developer phone, pure android. Smoothest phone on Sprint for sure.

Diffrence between Desire HD and Inspire 4G.

Hello,
Okay, there is tons of this, everywhere. But, still, what I know untill now is that Inspire have better screen then Desire HD. But I've did read something about mics, which I'm intrested in. The in call quality with my Desire HD is really really poor.
Also Inspire 4G, can I use 4G network with it?
Any answers would be much much appreciated!
There's really no difference, besides the name of course. Hell I have an inspire 4g and once u root, then load a rom. It says its a Desire...
The main difference is the hardware used for the sound on the inspire and the desire hd. That's why we need the sound fix
There are 2 major differences. The Desire HD (A9191) has European 3G bands and 1 mic. The Inspire (A9192) and Telus Desire HD (A9192) has 850,1900 3G/fake 4G bands and a second mic used for noise cancellation. They both use the same LCD. So if you are trying to connect to a 4G network in Europe with the inspire then the answer is definitely no.
Thanks for your answers all. Yes, I live in Norway, and have a friend that wants to selll his Inspire 4G he bought from USA, A&T, but ofsially unlocked, atleast he says so. But, if it isin't any diffrence, then I might just go for a brand new Desire HD insted?
What about the internal memory? will the uncompressed ROM make the phone any faster? Any ideas?

Funny kid. There is so much diffrent about this, tbh, I don't know what to belive.
What I told you is the fact. They both have the same internal memory also. If you don't want high speed data (3G) then get the inspire but it will only give you edge. If you want to know the truth then seriously google the specs for each phone and you will see. ATT phones simply do not have 3G bands for europe. And there isn't much to believe. Kimtyson has a point. Google would have answered your question in minutes.

My google results gives me that the user accable ROM/memory is the same, however, total amunt isin't. But, if the Inspire won't go 3G (I was seriously hoping for 4GB ) Then it is out of the question, what so ever.
The memory is the same. DHD specs say 1.2GB or something like that. ATT specs say 4GB. ATT is again pulling a scam on people. Only 1.2GB of it is user internal memory. Exactly the same as the DHD.

What AT&T would not do that LOL. I have just found rumors about the audio and that they both suck. I know my Inspire does even with the hack.
Thanks for the answer guys, but I think I'll just stick with the Sensation XL.

[Q] Is the deathgrip still going on?

I saw mixed opinions. Some say there's no deathgrip, some say it's very bad.
I'm looking forward on buying a Sensation XE, and i want to know if the issues are gone with the latest production phones, like Apple did on the iPhone 4 (apply a protective coating onto the antenna)
And since my contract with vodafone just ended, i can buy phones at very low prices. So i want to make the right decision. If the Sensation still has this issue, i'm getting the Sensation XL.
Thanks,
Andrei
It's still have death grip issue in Thailand for both Sensation & Sensation XE.As far as I know it's rarely occur on XE and even it occur on your phone HTC customer service will offer you a new back cover for this issue.
Got the US T-Mobile version here and I still have the death grip for wifi. I just installed an new router wireless N hoping it would stronger and won't drop the signal if I hold it sideways, it still does.
Not that bad though, you can always go into wifi settings and turn on more powerful wifi, but the battery takes a hit with that.

So, even the latest phones have this problem?
I'm very undecided...
I have an HTC Sensation with T-Mobile USA and I've never had any death grip problem.

[Q] New Android phone to replace htc myTouch 4G

Hi,
For the last couple years I have used the Walmart $30 T-Mobile prepaid plan. My smartphone usage is very small and limited to when I travel out of town.
I have been using an htc myTouch 4G. The phone broke and I need another one.
I quite enjoyed the htc MyTouch 4G. It seemed to have very high quality audio for a phone. The camera and camcorder operated well. The built in Google GPS app (It seems different form what I can download on the Play Store) is my favorite GPS ever.
The phone must for relatively easy rooting.
Must support being a mobile hotspot.
and must support the newer 4G LTE band instead of the myTouch's HSPA+
What would a cheap similar phone be today? Used is fine.
