Hi guys ....
I just reflashed the phone with crc32 winmobile 6.1 version.
Normally I have in my SIM card duplicates like this (that came from my motorola before this):
name1 mobilephone1
name1 homephone1
name1 someotherphone1
name2 mobilephone2
name2 ...
and so on. I try to transfer them with SIM manager, select all, copy to phone, but the duplicates it either wants to overwrite or skip. that's over 50 entries, so it's pointless to copy by hand, I can forget something.
Is it possible to do real copy of them without losing data?
Second question: Is it possible to somehow correctly sync (SyncML protocol) to gsmsync.net ... I could not find any free tool, the only one I've found (that MIGHT) work asks for 60$ My Motorola V3X was able to do it out of the box ... really useful for synchronizations, since I'm not using ms windows on my computer.
Also, SyncML *might* be the solution, as on the syncml server all contacts are correctly organized
My phone is AT&T 8525 if this matters
thanks in advance
Hello all,
I would always like to have a backup of all my HTC contacts in my SIM card too but the moment if I copy even a single contact into the SIM card, it starts showing up under the contacts menu and then I have duplicate contacts which is kinda distracting and annoying.
Is there a tweak or some setting to avoid the SIM contacts from being visible in the HTC contacts menu but at the same time allow me to backup all my phone contacts into the SIM card.
Thanks
Vivek
Check Advance configuration tool (Advanced_Configuration_Tool_v3.3.cab)..
There's a setting in it for this.
I think there's also one in Diamond tool (Diamond Tweak 0.5.3_English.cab)
But not too sure about this one.
Thanks funnysam for your reply.
Could you also post a link for both the softwares you mentioned.
Are they availble on this site ?
Thanks
or you can go to the registry and do hkcu/controlpanel/phone and set ShowSIM to 0

I have acheived what I wanted to acheive.

I personal only use phone contacts. Since my phone gets sync with my pc about every other day I always have a up to date bacc up. Not sure why you would want to same tot he sim card. You would proably even be better using PHMbaccup and have everything copied to you mcrosd card on what ever schedule you would like it to be.

In my case I have a dumbphone I can use for a backup, and I use it occasionally. So having the contacts on the SIM for me makes them appear in that phone instead of trying to update my contacts in that phone to keep it current.
Hi,
Apologies if this is in another thread but I cannot find anything that matches my request.
I just upgraded my ROM from T-Mobile 1.43 to the Generic 1.66, and as a bonus now have the ability to try out Copilot (not included on t-mobile version)
The downside is that I also do not have the files from the SD card (again t-mobile don't include them).
Could someone either put the said files/folders somewhere I could grab them or help me track them down. I don't believe I am asking for anything illegal here. I just want to test the software and may indeed purchase if I like it but as things stand I cannot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!
Start Copilot, register for the trial and you will receive the option to download the voice files and maps you want to. It is recommended that you use the use either WiFi or ActiveSync, since the maps aren't that small. If you didn't get the option when you first started Copilot, you could delete the copilot directory on your storage card or just go to download from the options panel.
Hey All,
I am looking for something I am not sure exists, I would like to get a SIM card extension cable. Something like this:
[SIM SLOT on device] < =======( extension cable ) <======= [ External SIM Slot ] < === SIM CARD
The idea is to move the current location of the Slot so users can change the card without opening the device.
Thank you for your help;
I'm looking for the same thing. Did you ever figure anything out here?
I found something similar
I registered to this site just to answer your questions.
here is a link to the closest thing that i have found, i need it to extended my iphone 4's micor simcard to a mini simcard.
(just add the www)
usbfever.com/index_eproduct_view.php?products_id=2180
but i think that you would possibly find it even easier or more helpful looking at those cable/extensions.

Hi, I'm Luca Sagaria, dev of SIM Checker.
I'm currently testing my new anti-theft app, if your device is running at least Android 2.2 and you're interested in trying the app you can download the app here.
Basically the app provides remote control for your device from a website or via text messages: you can locate it, lock it, wipe the internal memory and SD card etc. Also if you have a GSM device there is a feature to get automatic alerts if an unauthorized SIM card is put into the phone, like SIM Checker.
I'd like to have some feedback: suggestions, bug reports and so on.
Thanks everybody!
