Hey I'm having some issues with my Inspire 4G. The videos I recorded from my phone are not working at the moment. I have a couple of them and they all don't work. When I try to watch them, I hear the sound but the screen either skips or nothing just doesn't move at all. Also, the YouTube videos works but the HQ ones sometimes or maybe all the time skips in some places.
I have another Inspire 4G which doesn't do any of that. Videos work perfect as well as HD videos.
I had the newest version of flash installed also, but I read from someone on this forum about the flash and they had a link posted for 10.2 I believe, which they said it would work better than 10.3.
But yeah.. could anyone help me out here?
Anyone....

My wife has the Galaxy S 4g and I don't have much exp w/ it like my N1 so I'm hoping for a little help. My wife's phone worked fine for about a month and now it wont play any video whether it be through youtube or even video that she records w/ it. It always bring the up the error "Can't play video". I did the hard reset took it back to factory and that fixed the problem for about a week now its back. Its stock phone w/ launch pro (even though its my wife's phone I couldn't stand to see her use touchwiz) Is video issue a known problem if so is there a solution becauses rooting it and flashing new rom?

Yes it known but it shouldn't be severe like yours is...it should happen once in awhile not all the time...flash a new rom.see what happens...you can always go back to stock
Thanks for the help, but its my wife's phone and I don't want to start rooting and flashing things because if more issues arise then it will be more of a headache for me. So, should I contact TMO for replacement phone?
Does anyone else have this problem? When I take video with my NS occasionally the recording ends up with out of sync audio and video, with the video pausing for a few seconds while the audio continues - the video then continues and finishes after the audio has finished. This happens when played but players both on my phone and on my pc. Any thoughts? The laggy video capture always seems to occur when I'm capturing moments with friends and family too and not when I try to reproduce the results haha...typical eh
Im facing the same problem too.
I m running on the stock rom, 2.3.4, rooted. I had this issue for twice & then i did a factory reset & hope it helps. But today when i record the video again, the same problem occurs again.
I don't know what to do. i googled abit & saw someone said clearing the camera app data would help, but seems.. it doesn't work for me.
anyone can help us? please?
Same issue since December. I have yet to find a good solution. It's a bummer as it does ruin what is otherwise acceptable video.

Nice to know I'm not alone and that a developer is having the same issue as a relative noob like me! Any ideas what on earth could be causing it? It didn't do it when I was first using the phone, and now my phone storage is relatively full - perhaps lag in writing to the phones storage is causing it? Sorry for the late response, just it happened again last night to one of my videos and really irritates me!
...any solutions for this issue??
I have a rooted Samsung Dart, it works wonderfully but when streaming from Netflix the audio is 5 to 10 seconds behind the video and the video plays slowly. I don't have any problems from YouTube or any other video playback and haven't found any information anywhere else so I'm posting here asking for help.
Thank you in advance.

Anyone else out there have a Samsung Dart with the same problem?
Ok, I think I'm going to return the phone as I have found no one else that has the same problem.
I have this phone and it runs pretty good. If you still have it, you might want to try CyanogenMod on it, or the Mobilicity stock rom available at http://www.madteam.co/forum/development-70/(archive)-stock-roms-and-tools/
Just got my Maxx HD last night and loving it so far. But I ran into an odd issue last night, I couldn't play anything from the YouTube app. I was on wifi and the stream just wouldn't start playing. I was able to push YouTube video through DLNA with iMediaShare, but the YouTube app didn't work at all.
Been getting more FC than I think I should too. Not sure if I installed something it doesn't like or what.
Edit: YouTube seems to be working fine on 4G at work, I'll have to try it on wifi again when I get home. I got to thinking about it and both Netflix and Hulu didn't want to work first time I tried them on wifi at home. Maybe the cheap router I'm using as a range extender in the living room is the problem.
Bump. Anyone else experiencing these issues? I'm also having problems with youtube. Mine will play on wifi but it takes forever to load the video and will buffer constantly while watching. It seems like I can only watch about 15-30 seconds before it has to pause and load some more.
I have the same issue too sometimes it works my major problem is trying to lunch a YouTube video from a website like DroidLife it won't play.
I watch probably 20 minutes of YouTube per day on Wifi before going to bed. I haven't experienced any issues so far with the MAXX HD. I do know that the 720p phones take a bit longer to buffer than the older phones as its loading higher res video.
I'm on the maxx hd as well but sometimes its just like watch 30 seconds of video, pauses to load for about another 30 seconds, play 10 seconds of video and that process just repeats itself.
I get the long buffer times and rebuffering on wifi, but not on 4G. Speed tests say my home wifi is faster than my 4G (and it should be generally with the 4G I get at home). If that's the case I'm not sure why it would do better on 4G than wifi. I'm gonna blame Verizon. *shakes fist at sky in righteous indignation*
Bumping this thread now that there are some roms out for this phone. This is still insanely frustrating. Play 5 seconds of video > Buffer for 15-30 seconds > play 5 seconds of video. Terrible. Anyone else have issues or better luck on other roms? I have yet to root the phone and remove the crapware.
I have to say I have the same issue. On HD, constant buffering making watching very frustrating. 4g fixes this. Home Wi-Fi is over 8mbps down. Oddly, my home pc was buffering on YouTube today as well. Speed test shows plenty of speed. Is this possibly on YouTube's end? Maybe it doesn't like my ISP...

No problems here on Verizon. Have you tried a speed test or factory resetting your device

Update: I cleared my cache partition and that seemed to help. Didn't realize you can do it while stock. Looks like I'll be doing that monthly.

On my Razr Maxx HD, I have been trying to play movies for the last three days. With every video I've tried, I can only hear the sound but never the video, the screen just stays black. I've tried different codecs and video players such as MoboPlayer and MX Player. I am running Stock Rom, non-root Jellybean 4.1.1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I was a heavy android user back in the day but was forced into the use of an iPhone for over a year. Now that I finally have an Android device I can barely figure out my new phone
Forgive me if i made a mistake with my forum post. I haven't posted on XDA for almost a year and a half now.

Thats odd, i have mx player pro and it works just fine
What type of file are you trying to watch, I'm not sure if having a slower memory card would make a difference or not, but a class 10 is pretty good.
