[Q] Video Camera Lag? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone else have this problem? When I take video with my NS occasionally the recording ends up with out of sync audio and video, with the video pausing for a few seconds while the audio continues - the video then continues and finishes after the audio has finished. This happens when played but players both on my phone and on my pc. Any thoughts? The laggy video capture always seems to occur when I'm capturing moments with friends and family too and not when I try to reproduce the results haha...typical eh

Im facing the same problem too.
I m running on the stock rom, 2.3.4, rooted. I had this issue for twice & then i did a factory reset & hope it helps. But today when i record the video again, the same problem occurs again.
I don't know what to do. i googled abit & saw someone said clearing the camera app data would help, but seems.. it doesn't work for me.
anyone can help us? please?

Same issue since December. I have yet to find a good solution. It's a bummer as it does ruin what is otherwise acceptable video.

Nice to know I'm not alone and that a developer is having the same issue as a relative noob like me! Any ideas what on earth could be causing it? It didn't do it when I was first using the phone, and now my phone storage is relatively full - perhaps lag in writing to the phones storage is causing it? Sorry for the late response, just it happened again last night to one of my videos and really irritates me!

...any solutions for this issue??

[Q] Front-facing camera shows upside down in Fring

I guess the Sensation is not the first device to have this problem -
When using Fring, the front-facing camera shows my face as upside down to the other person , which means I have to rotate it 180 degs for them to see me right, which obviously means I get to see freaky people who's hair are defying gravity and who speak from their foreheads..
Anyways, I googled for solutions and found out that fring support apparently has an apk which has fixed this issue and they are sending it to people individually when they open a service ticket (no such luck at my end so far)...
But I thought it's worth throwing out here to see if anybody else has such an apk to share with all of us.

Yes I did. Tried reinstalling. Having done a coupla hours of google searching, what I found out is Sensation isnt the first or only device to have this issue.
I finally heard back from Fring support. Here's what they had to say -
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting our support team.
Please note that the handset you are currently using is not officially supported by fring.
We are aware of the issue and working to solve it in the near future.

Please feel free to contact us again should you have any further queries."
I am also having this problem, although I do have to say that is not just a problem with fring. I also have the same problem using the T-Mobile Qik video chat. I have seen fixes for the problem for other devices that would probably work, assuming I had a rooted phone...
Has anyone found a way to fix this without root??? This is the only thing wrong with my T-Mobile Sensation.
And please don't tell me to hold the phone upside down, that is not an acceptable solution.
Also it would be interesting to find out if there is anyone who doesn't have this problem. Considering this is the only thread about it, I'm beginning to think that this is a problem only on certain devices.

I can confirm that Tango does work correctly, although the audio seems quite garbled. Hard to hear the other person, although they were on 3g at the time and not on WiFi.
Qik said they are working on an update to support the sensation.
So does the Sensation have an upside down front facing camera and just correct for it in the software? It seems weird that the video is upside down. I would understand having no video, as that could be a driver problem, or an interface problem.

[Q] OpenSensation & YouTube

Hi!
I use the OpenSensation ROM these days, and its utterly excellent for me! I charge overnight and still have about 20% juice left in it when I hit the sack that night!
But, when I hit the sack, I like to laugh at some YouTube videos for a while, and thats where I experience my only issue with OpenSensation. It is known that some users (maybe all, idk) experience YouTube crashes/FCs just like I do. I have read that the fix is to clear this app's cache, but that rarely works.
Can anyone that has this issue with Open Sensation let me know how to resolve this in a more reliable way?
Also, does anyone know exactly what causes this issue to occur, and what it might take to resolve it?

[Q] Problem with call audio quality in the oneplus

I've been using the phone for almost 7 months now, the problem never occurred until a couple of days ago. In both incoming and outgoing calls, the other party can't hear me, not at all. I cut it and call them again, then it's okay. This problem, however, vanishes if I'm using a headphone or loudspeaker, but whenever I switch from the headphone/loudspeaker to hands-on, the problem immediately starts again. I've tried restarting the phone, doesn't help. Has anyone faced this issue? I heard in one place that a factory reset might be helpful, I'm not quite sure whether I should go for it. Can anyone tell me whether it's a software or a hardware level problem? Because this problem does not occur when I'm using Viber or Skype, it only occurs when I'm calling from my carrier number. Any help will be much appreciated.
I am having a similar if not the same problem. Phone is basically unusable. Going to try the low mic fix in this forum. Only other bit of info I'd add is I'm on AT&T.

OK, So I have flashed the low mic volume fix successfully, and though the problem was intermittent before, I have yet to see the issue persisting past the "fix".
I'll keep my fingers crossed and update if the problem shows up again.

Hey, i need your help!
I have a really big problem while recording videos with the camera. It feels like i have 1-2 fps and this is not nice. It is very laggy and videos are just useless. I can't remember having this issue with stock rom, anybody have a solution for this problem? Anyone having issues with the loudspeaker?

Whenever I call people on the loudspeaker, the person on the other end says I sound muffled or crackly. Anyone else have the same issue. Fastboot flashed stock rom and made no difference.
Yeah I've been having the same issue since the phone came out. Not sure if it can be fixed or not with a software update.

I have the same proplem. Any now if it is software or harsware issue.
also when i hit the on/off button for waking the phone up the front camera is going up and down.
I have the same issue, Microphone works fine in other apps
Same problem here, spoke with support and they unable to help. I've had this problem for a while now and considering getting rid of this phone if no fix very soon. Unfortunately this has put me off ever buying oneplus again.
