Does xboarder's version of GB allow you to change the HDMI output level from 1080 to 720? CM7 doesn't have this option.

Handbrake works fine. Just set max res to 800 x whatever. I typically use MP4 for the phone. Works fine.
Cool thanks

I use Handbrake as well, works really well. I also use Hamster Free Video Converter, it's alot faster but the files are a little larger.
i don't know if i'm late to the game here but i just tested 720p flash content with the new 10.3 and the thunderbolt seems to be hardware accelerating flash and cutting right through 720p content.
I thought this was a new feature of flash 10.3 but i loaded the same content on my Droid X running 2.3.3 and my Captivate running CM7 2.3.4 and both phones could not handle 720p flash.
Confused, i then decided to try out 10.2 again and see if it was supported there and found this
flash version 10.2.156.12 No 720p hardware acceleration
flash version 10.2.157.51 720p Hardware acceleration
Does anyone know why all the sudden only the thunderbolt is cutting through flash video like butter while the captivate (similar chipset) and droid x are not?
a side note i am running Das BAMF latest release, lean kernal extreme, and Teslacoil AOSP Browser.
So, anyone with experience with both ROMS, will you go back to the 3.0 combo? I've read that benchmark scores are down in 3.1, but that the overall experience is improved.
Post your thoughts.
I'll stay with 3.1 and wait for official release of it, kernel sources and oc kernel. Oc kernel haven't fixed my hardware decoding for 720p videos and youtube while 3.1 did and overall experience is pretty much the same with 3.1 and 1.4GHz 3.0.

Does anyone know if the Xoom can be tweaked to output 1080p res via HDMI? I mean maybe not now but in the future... given the fact that the G slate has the same amount of RAM and the same Tegra 2 T250 processor and it can output 3D 1080p via HDMI which is essentially 2 1080p streams being outputted simultaneously on our same hardware. I bet the G Slate kernel should hold the key to unlocking this for us Xoomers. I hope the Xoom kernel developers (team Tiamat, etc.) take note of this thread.
Bump.
Maybe this will get noticed now that ICS is out and there are more active Xoom kernel devs
You should pm them! :-D
ya, I'd really like to be able to output to 1080p as well

I have been using the LGCamera with Weapon 3.0 but the front facing camera is not good. I want both cameras to work well So I flashed the stock gingerbread, and all works well except that the video options, well, there are none.
I would like to be able to choose 480p, 720p and 1080p, the CM7 camera from 7.101 has more options but I didn't get to test/check the output resolutions.
Is there a good app for this, I am I stuck jumping from LGCamera 3.0 to Stock, is there a CM7 Camera flashable zip for stock root gingerbread roms?
I think the IPhone 4S can only record in 1080p too. Lol, Android is about options!
