[Q] disgo Tablet 7900 - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I've recently bought a disgo Tablet 7900 to have a cheap tablet to play with. In overall, I am pleased with it, however I want to do the following:
Connect to an ad-hoc network using wifi
Install Android Market
For the first option, I think I need root access. I found some topics on the internet which stated Android can connect to ad-hoc wifi networks when modifying 2 files.
However, I cannot find any information on how to get root access on a disgo 7900 tablet. I've tried some "one-click rooting application" such as z4root and Universal Androot, however had no success.
The device runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo) and has 2 micro-sd slots, an ethernet port, 2x USB port, mini-HD port and a 3.5 mini-jack for headphone.
So no mini-usb for connection to a pc.
Anyone had any success on getting root access with this device? Or can point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome, the XDA community is about development. There are several other sites that might be able to specifically address your specific questions and issues.
Posting a message at one of the sites, noted below, more suited to user assistance will probably lead to a quicker resolution. Answers that may apply are already posted! If possible search first.
Your tablet is closely related to the Sylvania 10-inch Magni Tablet - SYTAB10MT (SYNET10LP), where on the androidtablets.net Sylvania Tablets Forum there is a detailed description of multiple root methods and the steps to add adhoc gathered from the xda-developers Android Ad-hoc support hack/wpa_supplicant - xda-developers thread.
There are three (3) forums dedicated to Technical Help for the various models of Superpad's, a similar infoTMIC powered tablet, at apad.tv Main-Forum.
The is one (1) dedicated sub-forum and one (1) Unlisted InfoTM forum in the Infotmic subforums at SlateDroid.com.
There are also the Sylvania/Disgo 6000/AIRIS and Infotmic Based discussions at androidtablets.net of which many of the issues/solutions could apply to your tablet.
As xda pulls users from all over the world, here are a few International discussions as well regarding the 10" infoTMIC powered tablets all of which have similar issues therefore the solution approach are often applicable.
There at several forums related to devices at the Russian - 4PDA
Since the tablet is also closely related the to some models of the Flytouch there are several Spanish discussions on-going at Tabletsmania
Portugal's adroidPT APAD forum has a few discssuion's of the SuperPad.
Finally, there is a post about the specific Hardware ID's "hwver" and how to match it to the appropriate InfoTMIC Update Wrap files described in infoTMIC Hardware ID's "hwver" and updates (*.ius) which provides some additional links that will get you well on your way to resolving your issue.
Good luck

Hi there
I need to reactivate this topic. I just bought a used Disgo 7900 and upgraded it to Gingerbread 2.3.3 from their website. Since this is Chineese tablet there is no Android Market and other usefull aps installed. I tryed different versions of the market apk's but none works. All do crash.
Code:
Modell: disgo7900
Android: 2.3.3
Kernel: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #76
Build: GRI40
The problem is, that I can't get it rooted. Gingerbreak does not work. It is trying and trying for hours but without success. There is no "Development"-Menu for activation USB-Debugg - but I installed a USB-Debugg-App for activatiing it.
It seems that the device has a different bootloader. When accessing the recovery mode by pressing "home" - "back" - and "power" it starts automaticly loading a recovery image without having a chance to choose custom files.
The device seems to be similar to the so called Superpad http://www.android-tablet-compariso...pare-android-tablets.php?t1=super2&t2=dis7900
I tryed severa methods form the links above - until now nothing worked. Any ideas how to root this device?
Or is there a chance to have a working custom rom?

Hello hstop,
I've also updated my device to Android 2.3.3.
I've tried to root the device with z4root, however also no luck because it's asking for USB-debugging. I am going to try the app you've mentioned and try again.
Also, no success with installing the Market-app...
Edit: Cannot find an .apk-file to install the "USB Debug"-app. hstop, can you tell me how you installed it on your tablet?

I did this !
On all DisGo tablets with 2.3.3 u need:
USBDebug_1.0.apk
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B7Cmt_BvYmR3b2FfeGEwc0tRbUd5d0hCaC16SFVaZw
and
SuperOneClick 2.3.3
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B7Cmt_BvYmR3MEM1LVlxOHlRNDJUNUY0TUJONUxfUQ
Some antivirus programs might show this archive as virus, it's becouse there is expolit for android to root the device.
I will do some tutorial tomorrow.
Sorry for my bad english :/

Cewl! Well done, levvvy! Cannot wait for the tutorial!
And it would be more cewler when the installation of the Android Market is included in your tutorial!

any ideas?
Hi Levvvy, did you have any luck with this tutorial? I have downloaded the above items but the device doesnt plug into the pc so not sure what to do now. thanks

Any progress with the tutorial?
Or has anyone any other ideas how to root this abysmal Tablet

[Q] Herotab MID816 or equivalent 8" Samsung S5VP210 tablets

I've used the search but only found one reply about the Herotab MID816 (and all its equivalent 8" Samsung S5VP210 tablets).
My question is this: anyone building a custom rom for this tablet maybe?
There's quite a bit of discussion on tablet firmware/roms over on slatedroid, the MID816 included.
http://www.slatedroid.com/index.php?board=168.0
Can someone please help us get full root? Thanks.
I am only posting here because I can't find the thread that addresses my prob.. I need help with my Herotab MID 816. I can't get rid of the original owners Google account which means no access to Google apps. Can anyone please help?
Thanks!

Did you try to add another Google account first, let it sync, then remove the owner's one?
On my 816 tablet this works.
Another way is to re-flash the tablet and then add your account.
I tried the first suggestion about adding another user.. The new user was added but still could not remove the initial user so I ended up upgrading to the new firmware and erasing the existing data. Thanks for your suggestions!
Hello again guys!
Ok after some (Lots) of searching i finally found firmware update 20110311 i think this is the latest (please feel free to correct me) and i even managed to get into the update firmware menu (power and menu button) now even though i can use ADB to reboot my device, i can connect the usb and transfer files to/from my computer when the tablet is on, the firmware update tells me that there is no driver for this device.
Went into device manager and there's the yellow mark, (cant update driver tried that) here's where it gets odd, the Yellow exclimation mark on the driver in device manager says Android 1.0 Yet i am running Android 2.3.1 maybe thats why i cant get the driver to work (Except for files tranfers) found a driver package but at a loss on how to install them as its a winrar file.
ANYONE who can advice on this, or has had the same issue please post a response

[Completed] [Q] Nobis NB09 Root issues

First things first, I'm completely new to the world of android and tablets so please be gentle.
I bought 2 Nobis NB09, one for myself and one for my wife, we've had them for about 2 weeks now. We bought 32gb Ext. SD cards for them and away we went. A few days ago we started to realize that nothing was being saved to the ext sd cards and we were out of space on the tablets. So off to Google I go to find a solution. The only solution I could find was to root the tablets and here starts the problem. I tried the Kingo route, that didn't work saying no device was found, RootMaster the chinese program didnt work, VRoot has a Trojan virus attached so my antivirus wont allow me to install it, Framaroot also didn't work as my device is not compatible. The SDK route also doesn't work, as no device is found. Here is what I have observed, inbetween trying to not rip my hair out or bash my head against the wall. When I plugged my device into my laptop with USB debugging on, MTP USB device driver didn't install and neither did the Android driver. Trying to manually update Android in Device Manager it says i need to get the driver from the manufacturers website (which I cant find), I could not find the MTP USB device listed in my devices at all. I did find a site that has the drivers, supposedly, but I don't even know what I need exactly. So here are my questions:
Can I not root the tablets because these drivers are missing?
If I have to have these drivers does anyone know where I can find them, reliably?
Has anyone successfully rooted this tablet and if so how did you do it?
Tablet Info:
Model Num: NB09
Android Version: 4.1.1 (Jellybean)
Kernel Version: 3.0.8
Build Num: JR003C. 2013926. v003
Processor Speed: 1.50 GHz
Please help, all we want to be able to do is store stuff on the SD cards.
Hi there,
I founded only the thread bellow where is talking about Nobis Tablet:

[Completed] How to root an Ematic EGQ-780

I did search both for this device and rooting in general, and there are a few threads; most with no responses, so I thought I'd try.
I'm looking to root a stock Ematic EGQ-780. Two possibilities came up via Google, One-Click-Root and KingoApp (which is also mentioned in a thread here). KingoApp is mentioned here as being a solution; but when I contacted them, they told me the EGQ-780 is not supported. One-Click-Root also has a page saying they support this tablet; but when I go through the procedure it stops when I'm told to select the correct model and build number and they have not not returned any attempts to contact them for the last 7-10 days or so. The tablet looks to be a pretty standard set-up of Kit Kat 4.4. My main reason to root is that I'd like to be able to change the settings so apps can access the SD card as the on-board storage is only 8 GB. This is a secondary device so it's not crucial; but it would be much more useful if I could root it. Thanks.
Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device. You will need to ask for help here,

How to identify real device (Clone phone)?

Hi everybody,
not sure whether I can post this within the clone phone threads since I do not know the processor nor the manufacturer.
Phone is a pseudo iPhone which runs some kind of Android which is disguised as iOS (really bad quality).
Unfortunately this Android is really instable and phone does not work reliably.
Now I am trying to find out whether there might be another Android version which I could flash instead. Already identified Needrom as possible source but need the real device manufacturer and processor before.
Any idea how I could proceed here? Just still trying to avoid to connect to PlayStore on this phone since the Chinese ones are known for their spyware.
Recoveryis accessible.
From backside: A1660FCCID;BCG-E3085AIC59C-E3085A
From About: Modell: MNRJ2CH/A
Which other information do I need to provide/identify the phone and how do I get it?
Any help highly appreciated.
Bye
First things I identified are that it seems to be a Lenovo using MT65xx - at least this was shown during driver installation when phone was connected to Win PC.
After connecting to Win10 Laptop YunOS ACB Interface has been installed. MTKTools tells about the already known fake and says its an MT6582.
So how can I provide a suitable stock ROM onto it?

Hey Renth,
I am afraid I got one of those too. It looks like an iphone with 250GB memory, but in eality it only has less than 50 MB.
Model: A1660 FCCID BCG E3085A IC579C E3085A
I a wondering also if I can wipe out whatever it has installed.
Sorry for the late reply. I also raised that topic within China Devices Forum back then. There I documented all my activities (hopefully did not forget anything).
Do not know whether cross referencing is allowed, so just send me a PM then I can provide you the link. Alternativly you can ask google for "How to identify real device (Clone phone)?" and then follow the link with the same topic at Chine Devices forum.

Oujia S11 Plus can't ROOT or Flash Recovery/FAKE SPECS??

Hello All,
This is my first post here, so sorry if I posted in the wrong section/format. Anyhow, this is going to be a two part problem, try to bear with me here.
I have recently purchased an Oujia S11 Plus (manufacturer's site here: http: (slash) (slash) www (dot) oujiakg (dot) com (slash) index.php?ac=article&at=read&did=166).
First thing I have noticed is the android version was faked, it reports as android 8.1 but in reality it runs android 6.0. Despite this I've tried to root via multiple different methods but to no avail. Tried MTK Droid Tool 2.5.3, KingRoot, KingORoot, and vRoot. Furthermore I've tried Miracle Box 2.27A, during when Miracle Box connects to the phone it immediately gives an error "Miraclebox.exe has stopped working" on my laptop running windows server 2016 datacenter.
As I am using different apps to root (eg, MTK Root Tools and Miraclebox) each show a different SoC respectively. Which got me wondering if the hardware was faked as well.
Actual Screenshots from the device here: https: (slash) (slash) photos (dot) app.goo.gl/akyWgbsTyk3Qgu5j9
note the difference of specs reported by 3 different apps (Antutu benchmark, Cpu-z, and CPU hardware info) as well as system settings itself.
Why does this matter?
Correct me if I am wrong on this, but my thinking has it that because the software as well as possibly hardware is reported incorrectly to each of the root tools, this would be the underlying reason that none of the tools were able to root this phone.
I would much appreciate anyone knowledgeable on this subject to please chime in. I am totally stumped on how to root this phone and install a custom recovery. Cheers!
HELP! Anyone out there have any info?
Bump, Anyone out there with any information regarding this device? I've been scouring the internet looking for information and came up with little more than the manufacturer's site. Any new info would be greatly appreciated. I am afraid I am at a dead end with this device.
Did you found a solution? I have the same problem
