Ever since I switched to this rom, games always load...... then exit. What's causing this?

Games forcing a restart

I have had a problem recently where several games seems to freeze up my device and causes it to restart. Usually happens on exiting a game or if the screen happens to turn off. Has happened with me so far to Nova 2, star dunk, and a few other apps I can't think of at the moment. Anything similar happening to anyone else?
I'm running the stock rom (after flashing from Gummycharged about a week ago). Any insight?
If you could please. lil more information. Whats is currently changed on your phone. (sdcard, settings, kernel, etc)
check your memory and let us know what memory phone and sdcard you have.

[Q] Nexus S reboots - game

Hi y'all
I have bought a Nexus S several weeks ago. Since then I've installed some apps but did not customize anything yet. It's a I9023 Nexus S running on Gingerbread 2.3.4 / Kernel 2.6.35.7-ge382d80 / Build GRJ22.
Some days ago I've installed Modern Combat 3: fallout. When I launch the game, I'm able to play it rather fluently. Sometimes it lags a bit when there is too much happening on the screen but that's rather normal I guess.
But here's the problem. When I shut down the game (in the correct way), the device goes to the app launcher which is black at that time except for the home button, loads for some time and then reboots (showing the Nexus S boot X). This has also happened during a multiplayer session, but not always, mostly always after I shut the game down.
I have also experienced it with another game: Asphalt 6 HD. This is from the same developer, but I don't have any other 'high-end' games to compare with.
Is this a software related thing? Or could it be a malfunction of the hardware, GPU...?
I can't find relevant information/experiences on the internet... Please, help me out. Thx.
Is there anybody who can help? I'm doubting whether to turn it in or not. But if it's not a hardware issue, that seems to be useless...
i have the same program Sometimes,
maybe just game app`s program
Do you mean the same problem? Can't really figure out what you mean.
And you think it has nothing to do with a malfunction in the OS or hardware?
Try to clear your data and cache, for both laumcher and game. What launcher du you use?

I use the standard launcher. I've already done a reinstall of the game (of which I cleared the cache and data) but that didn't help. About the launcher: I can clear data, but apparently no cache. It's OK to clear the data while running?
Come on, please help. I don't know who can help otherwise but you guys... What can I do to reveal the problem?
@elinho, can I just clear the cache of the running standard launcher without harming anything?
I am experiencing the same problem with Modern Combat 3. It was the same with Tintin game.
What can be done about it? What causes the crash?
WSchroyen, have you found anything useful so far which solved your problem?

[Q] Lag/hang during install/uninstall apps

Does anyone else experience lag or hanging with the market when installing or uninstalling apps? My phone seems to be totally unresponsive for like 3-5+ seconds when this happens.
I'm currently using Thiaiz2.6 but I have experienced this on multiple roms except stock.
Any insight on this?
I think this may be on all roms. Probably something to do with LGs lame ram management system. I am using an Acura rom and have the same lags.

ShadowGun Freeze

Has anyone had any issues playing ShadowGun?
If I reboot my tablet and play ShadowGun it plays just fine, however if I've been using my tablet for awhile and have several application open in the background when I play ShadowGun it freezes up after the first or second shot is fired. You can still hear the game playing through the speakers, but the screen jumps back and forth stuck on the last couple of frames.
I had this same issue on the Prime and I was hoping not to see it on the Infinity too. Could this be a memory issue?
Thanks.
Try Shadowgun THD for Tegra 3, it even runs on power saving mode on my 700 and no freeze whatsoever.

That's what I have. I was excited to get download it and play it on my Prime.
Maybe if I uninstall it and re-install? Such a big app...
Memory Issues?
To follow up with this issue...
After several days using my tablet, Google Mail stated hanging up and crashing. I tried running ShadowGun and it would still freeze up right after the first shot or two. On a hunch, I added the Task Manger widget to my home screen. There were a lot of applications running and even though I'm against task managers, I clicked the "One Click Clean" button. I immediately went back into ShadowGun and it played flawlessly. The Gmail app was working fine again too.
I've changed the setting in the developer section to only allow 4 background processes at most, and I haven't seen the problem since. Could this be an issue where the Infinity isn't clear up memory when it's needed?
Any thoughts?
Do you by any chance have Chainfire3D installed?
No I do not.
Basically just ShadowGun and Dark Meadows.

I have the same problem with some games (ShadowGun and TinTin, for instance) and had it on my Prime as well. At the very beginning of my TF700 ownership, I installed TinTin on it and it played without a problem. I then started installing a lot of programs that I had on my TF201 and after a while I returned to TinTin and it had the jumping frame problem again.
I believe that it is some program that I installed after the first few days, but unfortunately don't know which one. I'll try your task manager trick to see if it (temporarily at least) solves my problem, and if so, I'll try to investigate which task is responsible (if any one particular task is the culprit).
Nice to hear of another person that has experienced the same problem I have...

Unlocked and Rooted TF700 Gaming Lag

I have been working non stop to fix my tf700's out-of-the-box sluggishness which, as most of you know, was basically unusable. I have tried every ROM out there and recently found what I thought to be perfection in KatshMallow (KatKiss for 6.0 by developer TimDuru), that is until I started running my high-graphics/animations games... i.e. Order and Chaos 2. Even 8 Ball Pool is laggy. It didn't use to be with other ROMS, but those ROMS had so many other issues for me that I had to keep trying others. OC2 is so slow that my character can barely move, no matter what game display settings I choose. Now, Pokemon GO only works until I click 'okay' to confirm that I will pay attention to my surroundings (before you are able to play the game). When I do that, the app just closes out. Every time As it exits to the home screen, I see that my RAM usage is suddenly through the roof, leading me to believe that I have simply run out of the RAM required to play that game. I've tried everything. Uninstalling apps, freezing apps, optimizing kernel, startup, etc. settings, restarts, cold boots, Dalvik wipes, factory resets... I've gone nuts here thinking my tablet is as optimized as it can even be. But I am no expert, and only know what forums have taught me through continuous Google-age. So what I'd really like to know is, what am I missing? What have I not optimized or changed that could be causing this? I'm sorry if this posting is misplaced, I've never actually posted in these forums before. I'm just desperate.
Thank you SO much in advance for any help you guys can send my way!
-Natalie
