I have had a problem recently where several games seems to freeze up my device and causes it to restart. Usually happens on exiting a game or if the screen happens to turn off. Has happened with me so far to Nova 2, star dunk, and a few other apps I can't think of at the moment. Anything similar happening to anyone else?
I'm running the stock rom (after flashing from Gummycharged about a week ago). Any insight?
If you could please. lil more information. Whats is currently changed on your phone. (sdcard, settings, kernel, etc)
check your memory and let us know what memory phone and sdcard you have.
Hi folks,
Thanks to info here at XDA I've got my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5113 running KitKat via Omnirom (using Android-Andi unofficial version omni-4.4.2-20140514-p5110-HOMEMADE.zip).
This seems to have cleared up the problems I had with the stock ROM (which had auto updated several times over the last year from 4.04), where the system would reboot and I'd get all kinds of force close errors all the time. This was a real problem because the main use for this particular Tab2 is that my 6 year old plays games on it.
Anyway, with Kit Kat running on it, it's smooth as butter and very stable. But the new Lego Invasion game (one of his favorites) refuses to play... it loads fine, and you can poke around in the menus and stuff, but right when the action should start, it goes back to the home screen. Not sure why the game closes like that. Once it even rebooted the tab. I've tried reinstalling the game, clearing it's app cache, etc..
Everything else is nice and smooth on the system... is there any troubleshooting I can do to figure out how to get this one app to play properly? Any optimization of settings on the tab I should do to try things? I'm a bit out of my depth.
Eventually I'll be wiping the tab again and reinstalling KK again because the specific version I used has the hardware keyboard on by default (so, I have to go and turn that off after each reboot). I'm just looking for less invasive things to try meanwhile.
Thanks!
Marc
After a few cycles of uninstall (of the Lego App) and reinstallation, it seems to be working now. I don't have a good explanation as to why, but at least it seems to have solved the problem, at least for now.

So if anyone here has Brave Frontier I'm sure you know the problem. What happens often is when getting out of the game to switch apps even for a brief text reply and coming back the game resets as if I just opened it. This happens with games as well as some other apps where it acts as though I just opened it fresh even though 5 seconds before I was in the middle of something. Is this a phone issue or a compatability issue?
I have been working non stop to fix my tf700's out-of-the-box sluggishness which, as most of you know, was basically unusable. I have tried every ROM out there and recently found what I thought to be perfection in KatshMallow (KatKiss for 6.0 by developer TimDuru), that is until I started running my high-graphics/animations games... i.e. Order and Chaos 2. Even 8 Ball Pool is laggy. It didn't use to be with other ROMS, but those ROMS had so many other issues for me that I had to keep trying others. OC2 is so slow that my character can barely move, no matter what game display settings I choose. Now, Pokemon GO only works until I click 'okay' to confirm that I will pay attention to my surroundings (before you are able to play the game). When I do that, the app just closes out. Every time As it exits to the home screen, I see that my RAM usage is suddenly through the roof, leading me to believe that I have simply run out of the RAM required to play that game. I've tried everything. Uninstalling apps, freezing apps, optimizing kernel, startup, etc. settings, restarts, cold boots, Dalvik wipes, factory resets... I've gone nuts here thinking my tablet is as optimized as it can even be. But I am no expert, and only know what forums have taught me through continuous Google-age. So what I'd really like to know is, what am I missing? What have I not optimized or changed that could be causing this? I'm sorry if this posting is misplaced, I've never actually posted in these forums before. I'm just desperate.
Thank you SO much in advance for any help you guys can send my way!

Just as title. It just started happening earlier today, which I'm not sure what could've caused it. (no falls or anything today in particular)
The blur is the exact same as Goodlock's blur feature when you opened the status bar (if you enabled it). I tried disabling it but some (yes not all of my games) stays blurred.
What I did earlier were reboot, which somehow fixes the blur. But at the same time, a different game app is blurred. More reboots and sometimes theres even less blurred games, and sometimes almost all of them are blurred.
Does it mean hardware failure?

hi, i am having the same problem. all my games are blurred on S6 Edge, but the likes of facebook and twitter are fine. i hope a solution happens fast!!
Hello. All my games are blurred too. It started two days ago. Rebooting doesn't help. Clearing cache doesn't help. I also uninstalled and reinstalled one game to see if that would help and it did not. I downloaded a brand new game and was able to play it just fine and then shut it off and this morning when I turn it on, that game was also blurred. I contacted my phone service provider yesterday as I figured it was something wrong with my phone, and they couldn't figure it out either. I've been Googling for an answer so if somebody has one out there, please, please, give us the answer on how to fix this.
Fixed mine

I am also having this issue in my S6 with some games and apps.
The only way to solve it is to fully reboot the device.
When it is up again I have to open the game inmediatelly.
If I open something else first, and then the game, it becames blur once again.
Fixed blurred games.
I found another thread on this site with a suggestion and it worked. Of course now I can't find that thread but found this original thread. Anyway, here's how I fixed it. Go into settings, application manager, game optimizing service and then click on more, and undo updates. After doing this it was still blurred so then I did a force stop on the game optimizing service and then everything worked again. All my games are clear and functioning normally.

If I could put up 100 Thanks, I would. This was driving me crazy for two days. The annoying thing is I don't have Google set up to auto update ANYTHING, so I thought it was potentially a hardware issue. Must be a Samsung app update... I'll have to freeze the Samsung app service, I think...
To Dalmus
You're welcome, but thanks really needs to go to Ekrezem and PiperTim. It was on another thread here at xda-developers. I appreciate when solutions are made in clear terms for those of us who aren't as tech savvy. That's why I made my post step by step clear. I hope it helps a lot of people.
I applied the same solution, but my GOS keeps auto-updating, and auto update is turned off! Is there a way to stop this nonsence? Is there an official forum or something where we can report it??
Blurry games on S6 edge v6.0.1
My question exactly: did all recommended. Cleared cache, cleared that other thing with a reboot (pressing on/off, volume up, home button) managed to play one game with no blurry image but it started all over again...
I have a Samsung s6 edge v6.0.1
All help very much appreciated

Exactly! Since the 28th march this nonsense is on.... anyone have already solved it?
Found a permanent solution
I've found a simple solution, no wipe cache no reflash, no nougat upgrade etc
All you have to do:
1. Update game optimizing service via galaxy apps store (and dont ever clear data or uninstall)
2. Install samsung game tuner via google playstore and set default to maximum quality (don't forget to save your settings) and restart. You can uninstall this after.
