Description
This application is Wi-Fi remote control for Samsung Smart TV. If both your phone and TV are connected to the same wireless Router, your phone will link to the TV automatically where you can use your phone like a remote control. The TV can also transfer live feeds to your phone.

[Main Features]
-Dual View
Enjoy TV and other multimedia right from your mobile device that’s connected to Samsung Smart TV. You can even send what you’re watching on your mobile device to TV and watch it from TV.
- Bluetooth PowerOn
You can use your mobile device to turn on your TV using Bluetooth (available for certain TV and mobile devices only).
-Remote
Your mobile device can work as remote for your Samsung TV or BD products. Full remote screen is provided by default, and three tabs are provided at the bottom of the screen to help you control connected devices with ease. Onscreen keyboard shows up automatically when you need to enter text.
-Game Controller
With this feature, your mobile device can control games on TV. Full and Simple modes are available. Turn on Gyro function on your mobile device, and control games by tilting your mobile device.
-Settings
You can fine-tune control for TV and BD by adjusting gesture sensitivity in your mobile device.

[How to set up]
1.Check if Wireless Remote Control or Network Remote Control is enabled in your TV’s System or Setup menu. If you don’t see either of them in the menu, Samsung Smart View App can’t be used in your mobile device.
2.Connect wireless/wired router to TV LAN port, or connect Samsung Wireless LAN adapter to TV USB port.
3.Connect your phone to wireless/wired router.

not sure about it yet,, as my Smart TV should arrive by 2morrow

Can you port the tab version? I'd like to use that for my Xoom.
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App

Works on my Galaxy S, but only as the "remote mode" app - i.e. you cannot use dual view, cannot stream anything to/from the TV.
This basically makes it exactly the same as the Samsung Remote App, which already worked on all phones.

Don't really know if it fully work,, as I still didn't receive the TV

Its definitely only the remote mode of the app. No dual mode. This on the tab 10.1

The Dual-View seems to work on only some of the Smart TV's and not all,, As I read in the User Reviews in the market

Did your TV arrive yet and were you able stream to your phone? I just downloaded it but unable to test intill i get home. Its a different version then the Remote app so im crossing my fingers. Ive got a 55" LED samsung with smartview so im hoping it will work. Im actually on a HTC EVO and i was able to install the app unlike before where the app would fail to install.

Duel view will only work on D7000 and D8000 2011 smart tvs i have the D8000 and SG 2

I ordered a 46" D8000 TV, coming in mid-August. If this app works with my current setup CM7 on HTC EVO 4G, I will for sure contribute in any way possible to make sure this app lives on!

Dual view doesn't work, only the remote control. This does the same as the one in the market.

I'm using Astro File Manager, opened it with App Manager, but it says it could not open the file as an .apk. Am I missing something?

Posted on my blog : samaung smart view app for other devices

I have a 40D8000 led new edition and the future " Dual View " doesn't work. It acts like remote from market . No - Dual View . Why ? Can we solve this ?

I have a D8000 whit desire hd and htc sensation doesn't work dual view , only remote. Why

Thanks for this port.
Confirmed working on Desire HD. I have a Samsung Series 6 TV, so no Dual View for me though.

I work in a technology department with loads of Samsung TV's. Tried it on D6510, D6530, D6750, D8000 at different sizes (32", 40", 46", 55") using my htc desire.
This app just acts the same as Samsung's own unfortunately...no dual view, just remote control functions etc.

Nexus One works not with UE55D8000...
I can only use the remote and Game function.

Stream Music from S4 to TV

Hey guys.
I have an iPad and a raspberry pi for airplay on my TV.
Now i want the same functionality for my S4.
I have my laptop attached to my TV as well.
So now I want to stream spotify music to my TV, either to the PC or to the pi.
Is there any known solution?

Get Bluetooth for raspberry pi and connect to that. I've seen some very cheap and easy setups.

Actually, if your using Samsung's stock player, if you have an Xbox, or smart TV, you can stream the music from your phone directly to your Xbox, in the (usually top right corner) there's a streaming icon there, if the Xbox is on, or smart tv

Just load up XBMC on your Raspberry Pi, it supports AirPlay, UPnP, and anything else you can think of.

These are all great ideas but not feasible. He has the pi. He may not have all this other ****.
The pi can be used for a2dp. You may need a Bluetooth adapter. My friend has this setup I will investigate

if you want to send it to the TV wirelessly, you could use any DLNA app that allows streaming. or miracast dongles would do the job too. I got panasonic streamer for £30, it was $30 on amazon.com too then but price keeps varying a lot. my netgear PTV3000 dongle works fine too as does ny LG bluray BDP730. of course miracast can do other stuff too and not just stream audio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxSJ57Q3zak so see what suits you best. i can send a play list to TV or hometheatre system via miracast and it plays the music and i can do something else on the phone.
XBMC!
Enable AirPlay in XBMC (also enables DLNA)
Then on your Galaxy S4, open a song.
You should be able to see this:

Open it and you should see your Pi (The default name is XBMC):
If you tap on your receiver music should start playing though your TV in a few seconds!
I hope this helps,
I have not done it but saw it on you tube...
Load xbmc on your pc and remote control xbmc on your s4 ...

You can try ezCast HDMI dongle that streams both online & local media. No restriction of only streaming from Chrome.
Supports Miracast, DLNA, Airplay etc.

do you have audio when using screen mirroring in ezcast?
in my case i don't have audio at all when using screen mirroring.. videos, youtube play just fine but without sound..
Allshare Cast Hub
I'm really surprised that no one has mentioned the Samsung Allshare Cast Hub/Dongle. I've had one for more than a year and it works great. You just enable "Screen Mirroring" from the slide-down screen on your S4 and it connects to your TV. There may be cheaper solutions, but this one sure works well and is easy to use.
Or you can simply set the tv to the vga input and connect you phone to the vga audio in of the tv with a jack cable.
My TV speakers suck, I bought a Yamaha Sound Bar with bluetooth. I stream music from my S4 & Galaxy Tab 3. Pandora was great for Christmas music on my tab when we had everyone over.
If ur tv supports DLNA then u can use iMediaShare app to stream media content to your tv..
And if ur tv is a Samsung smart tv.. U can use SmartLink app to stream content and even mirror ur screen!

The best remote control apps for android TV-box in 2014

Hi everyone. I hope one of you can help me out here. Can you advice me the best remote control apps and launchers for my Minix neo-x7? I'm looking for the apps which can give me an opportunity of controlling my TV-box just through my phone. I've found one launcher for minix, but it was built for tablets and in some apps on my phone there appear problems with the display resolution.
Any ideas?
Thanks for participating

First of all, your minix neo x7 need to be rooted.
You can use DroidMote as mouse pad, keyboard, mic, remote for music/video and game controler. It's connected by Wifi.
These options work perfect but the game controler not so much.
If you want to see DroidMote working, Just search for DroidMote on YouTube.

Thank you for your advice - but i have problem with DroidMote. When i try to install it the programm asks abot access to the root files. so smartphone block it all times((( i realy do not know how to root my fone and will it be justified action.
You need to install the DroidMote Client on your phone and the DroidMote Server on your Minix neo x8.
In my opinion only the server (Minix) need root access. If you check at the play store, at the bottom of the page, you can see the rights that the app needed. Only the server asks for 'full access of memory and phone options' and the client not.
If your Minix neo X8 is not rooted, just check on YouTube 'how to root Minix neo x8' But follow the instructions carefull.
another option is: search at dx.com for a cheap android keyboard with mousepad.

If you don't do too many crazy stuffs like gaming, 3d map zooming navigation etc.. just basic operations control nagivation then RK app version 2.02 is all you need. it works well on all my galaxy phones (s3,s4,note2,nexus) and tablet (note 10.1 2014).
If I want to play games, on my stick (GTA3, Asphalt) which controller, do you suggest, for the device?

Not sure if it's the best, but I rather like Able Remote. Have to temporarily spoof the box to appear to be a Google TV to the Play Store (or obtain the app that goes on the box elsewhere and sideload) to install Able Remote for Google TV on the box and install the regular Able Remote on the phone. There are some sections in the remote that will be useless unless you're on an actual Google TV, channels for instance, but the keyboard and mouse modes work well, and there's even a launcher on the remote where you can choose what app on the box to launch. Could pin your most used ones on one of the pages of the remote.
Hello,
Can you share the Able Remote for Google TV apk, i can't find it on the internet.

You should go here to find this app that can use mouse in the Fire TV and other android box, and also can sideload the app from its app center, I use it for my MXQ box, nice!

Great work!
Are there any plans to support non-rockchip devices?
I have installed handy smart launcher on a Motorola droid bionic which lives in a oem hd dock under my tv connected by HDMI. I installed the companion (remote) app on my Motorola RAZR hd. The devices communicate, but the only functions that work are scrolling thru the main tabs, search, and home button. Mouse and keyboard functions don't work, even after selecting Handy as default keyboard in language and input settings on the bionic.
I would love to see this work, would be a great replacement to my wireless mouse connected to the bionic dock.

Hello pistacios,
I am grateful to yor for sending us this extremely useful and well-documented infofmation on working process. In the nearest future we are going to optimise our apps for the use with not only rockchip tv-boxes. As for the use -You should install our Handy Smart TV Laucnher on Android TV-box and 2nd app Handy Smart TV on your phone or tablet. After that you will get devices ready to work. If you have TV box based on Rockchip processor - we would like to get your own test report.

Hi,
I'm using an MK808 stick, very similar with the one in PPC_owner's post (but without "B" in MK808B).
As far as I know, it's a genuine RK3066, but with Finless ROM 2.1 JellyBean 4.2.2.
Handy smart tv / launcher does not even appear in Google Play on this device (!).
Copied manually and installed, the app does not work as expected (Galaxy Note 3 with 4.3, cannot control the stick with this app - behaviour is similar with the one described by PPC_owner on MK808B).
Any idea ?
Thank you,

as i said above, i cannot install those apps. So i cannot help you
Hello @levuphuong,
I tried your app. It works with my samsung smart TV after setting the device (OnePlus X) as server from settings. After some minutes it showed content in "home" and played it on the TV, although pause and transport didn't work (they showed an "unsupported" notification on the TV).
I was taking a look around for some DLNA implementation on Android, as I wanted to include a "transmit via DLNA" feature in my app; something similar to the Samsung app "smart view" or the "cast" option for media file in my OPX; simply click on the file and share it to the TV.
Black screen and no detecting of media
Appearently at startup the app is searching the lan for dlna servers. During that time there is just nothing like a black screen, and it blocks any other operation on my device. So it looks like the app crashed. It would be better to have a screen with a moving bar which informs about the state of the app. When it comes back after a long time, it discovered a dlna server on another computer in my network. But it does not show media, so nothing to play. There are even no directories for vidro, audio, and pics.
So at the moment not usable. My device is a JiaYu S3 3GB

i think that problem happens when you enable your phone as dlna server and return home (it needs time to start server in phone). May be I need to improve it.
And some server show nothing because you didn't add media to that server. Recommend to use Tverisy for PC. it is free and really good.
Thanks
OK, thanks for your answer!

Use BubbleUPnP (free) - it's WAY better than anything. You could also try AllCast (free), a bit more basic. I use/d them on my LG G4 and Nexus 6P for connecting to Chinese DLNA products, Chromecasts, Samsung, and LG smart TVs.

You are right. I can connect with Localcast but I can't mirror share the phone screen on tv.
Have you tried to use MirrorShare function form status bar options?

I don't know yet because I don't have my phone yet, sorry. It arrives this week for me. Maybe someone else can chime in with their experience until I can test mine for you.
Came back with more information. I'm sure it's not phone fault. It's something related to WiFi router configuration. I have an Asus AC68U. Anyone got a suggestion about how to setup router? Still searching.
Just to let you know guys
I successfully mirror share my phone screen on tv screen by installing Google Home application on the phone.
I am regularly connecting to my Samsung Smart tv 2014 using mirror share without any trouble on mate 9.
I am facing the same problem. There seems to be no solution. Have you found it out?
How about mirror sharing to a pc? On my surface pro 4, you can use the Connect app to start the wireless streaming. My phone sees the SP4 in mirror sharing and attempts to connect but doesn't succeed. Any ideas how to fix it?
For the record, on my LG TV it wouldn't connect until I selected the option 'Fast connect' instead of 'normal'.
Sent from my MHA-L29 using XDA Labs

Mirror share is an Android feature and whichever TV have the compatibility should work rightaway. If both devices are connected to Same network and you launch mirror share on mate 9, your TV will be automatically displayed.

i see.
On the Samsung TV goto menu> setting >network>multimedia device manager. Click which device is allowed or denied. Delete them all if you want to start over mirrorshare setup
