After 6 months of use, i have this line too on my transformer.. what should i do?
very scared !!
i had that problem a few weeks ago, the TF was only 1 week of use and i had to send it to warranty.
& now it happens again, a black horizontal line on screen, sucks.
Sending it back on monday, will take like 15-20 days to get fixed

Hi,
I' ve the same problem " horizontal black line".
After contact to assus support france. I have to send my tablet to make a diagnostic and repair.
But before to send it, tell me more about your tablet fix.
Have you send your transformer to asus for fix.
Do you recieve it ( repaired, of course)
What are they done on it ? Screen changed or fixed ?
hello,
I just got my tablet from Asus, they fix it in 4 days
The screen has been replaced, and they added an anti-glare film gift.
I've also received the latest update (update 20111230).

Okay, i am freaking out a little...
So, my when i turn my tablet on, the screen flashs pink for a second with the Asus logo in the middle and then goes black where the light is still on so i know that the screen is "on" but not working. Now, when i connected it to my keyboard and pressed the music play button, the music started playing. Also, when i connected the tablet to my HD TV using the mini-HDMI cable it displayed the stuff that should be on my tablet on the tv. The touch screen seemed to work when i trying to select stuff by clicking on where it should be on the tablet.
But no matter what i do the screen still is black. What do i do!?!?
I'm not sure this is related to your issue but it's worth a try. Do you have multiple launchers? I did and when I powered on my TF the popup select window appeared but I could not see it as my screen was black but the backlight was on. Unfortunately I could not see the popup window because of Android 3.2 popup select bug. The work around for it is to rotate your screen and then back and the popup select window should then appear.
Like I said though, I don't know if it's related to your issue but it's worth a shot.
Hi.
You are not first person with this problem and in 99,9% it is HW issue.. you should contact shop where you buy it or ASUS support for help.
So, how is the asus warranty ppl? Like should i prepare for a huge battle or are they nice and straightforward?
I had same problem my TF after upgraded 3.2 with ADW launcher.

Yeah if you could get picture via hdmi and no picture on the tablet then the screen is dead. I had to send mine in for repair (B4O) Got my tab at launch date and a month later the screen die.

Did he have to really fight for it or did they just give him the replacement? And is it a refurbished one or a new one?
Hello everyone.
Yesterday, I got weird problem (in one hand). Phone screen on touch becomes blurry, like it's liquified... This never happened before and I believe it's hardware problem. Here's YT video which shows whats happening:

Anyone had this kind of problem? Maybe some advice?

There is something pushing on the screen from behind. Push hard on a laptop screen or anything LCD and it will do that. It's to do with how LCD works.
I know, but how come it happened out of nothing? Phone has not been opened...

Hit here.
I have a Asus MemoPad FHD10 for a while now.
Lately, the screen has been giving some errors. This happens randomly, and after keep pressing the power button it reboot back to normal again. The tablet never fell down.
Has anyone experienced this problem with the FHD10?
I have attached a picture to better ilustrate the problem.
Thanks for your help.

Same problem here. How did you solve it (in case you did it)?
I hope there is a solution...
Same problem
I have more than a 120 ME302c ASUS tablets in my company I have the same problem with many of them. I have sent a few of the tablets for repair but got it back with the same problem. They didn't fix it.
I wished this was the only problem with this tablet. It has so many problems that I would never recommand someone to purchase it.
Screens break quickly (I had a few just cleaning the screen and it broke. Repairing it costs almost the same as buying a new one)
Many of the tablets have charging problems. Charging during the night and they only have 10-15% battery.
The micro USB connector is too sensitive making the charger connection wobble.
Now I have a 15-20 tablets with a fatty like liquid between the touchscreen and the LCD screen.
Many of them just turn off and on whenever they want.
Worst tablet I have ever seen.
I need a back cover for my ME302C

Hi jptib,
I have a asus memo pad FHD10 (ME302C) and it works fine. But in a couple of days ago, i dropped the tablet, and broke the back cover.
So if you don't want 1 or 2 tablets, can you sell them in parts? And sell me 1 or 2 back covers?
By the way, i'm from Portugal.
Best regards.

I have the exact same problem, but only started to experience this after updating the firmware to v5.0.21-20140701.
The tablet is only new for me and didn't produce the fault in the first few weeks. My guess is perhaps a firmware bug (if others are using this same code version) or a hardware problem that is produced over time & use....
Does anyone have a current support ticket with Asus?
I have the same issue from time to time. When my tablet does this it is sometimes accompanied by a loud buzzing sound.
I am on latest firmware and rooted, not sure if that might contribute to it (I rooted from day one).
Same issue on ME102A
I have ASUS MeMO Pad 10 (ME102A) and it makes the same effect randomly like in the first post. Sometimes the screen goes black, or the image begins to run. I made a video about the problem:
I opened a service request. I wondering if they could fix that.

szajmon I have the same problem with Asus Memo Pad ME102a
I have tried this:

but it does not help.
Could someone from developers confirm that it is firmware related problem?

Yes, it's definitely not a software problem.
A well-wisher who's nickname is Zadok, sent me a very useful message:

In the linked video isn't a MeMo Pad 10, but the video-flexcable and it's connector are the same. When I opened the device, the bigger part of the flexcable was visibly cca. 0.5 mm wide dislocated. In fact, it wasn't in place. So I opened the connector, both connectors of course. Then I pulled out the flexcable, and I pushed it back. Finally I closed the tablet, and since then there is no problem.
I'm very glad, and I'm thankful to Zadok for the helpful tip.
This company has the worst support ever. I sent in my Memo Pad 10 for the screen flickering problem, (told them I already reset it a few times only to have the problem come back), all they did was reset it and send it back. I hardly used the thing, of course the problem is still there and my warranty is up. Guess I will have to pull it apart and fix it myself because their technicians are incompetent and the company built it poorly. I called them to see if they would correct the issue they didn't fix in the first place, no luck.
same problem too!

Seems to be a screen failure... send it to warranty if you still can.

Not much can be done, you could try to get a new screen and substitute it. Hardware failure is impossible to fix...
Is this problem universal with moto g?
Sorry i have failed to mention this
but my phone is still under its warranty, i bought it this april,2014.
so any idea what budget will i be looking at if its a hardware failure and my screen gets replaced?
My friend also have same problem so you think its is a universal issue with moto g display?

Then use your warranty, it's free to get your phone repaired under warranty.
Otherwise the screen with the digitizer costs about 30-35 usd from China and it's needs glue to be assembled back tougher ( and some knowledge ofc ).

my screen is the same. i was a bit more lucky and the line is 0.3cm away from the edge and not in the middle of the screen like yours.
i have 2 problems:
- i am from slovenia and i bought moto g from tesco through a company that gave me fake british id.
- i am rooted so i dont know if i still am under warranty.
can i take my moto g to nearest motorola repair shop and use my warranty?
Rooting voids warranty
the warranty is void as soon as you root your phone
and i have called up motorola customer services and they said that display and other hardwares are not included in warranty but still they might be able to help if they can have a look at the set
Hey all,
Recently I'm having some troubles with my touchscreen. I've had this problem a few times now, and it seems to act up more often now. Sometimes the screen doesn't register my finger. After I reboot, it works fine again. I believe it's always on the same place. Take a look at the screenshots that I've added.
Is this software related or hardware related? I'm in doubt if I should send it back for repair. I'm afraid that i'll lose my nillkin tempered glass screen protector
greets,
swa100
Suddenly the problem occurred twice today. It's ok after reboot. Who knows what's going on?
4 hours ago I decided to do a factory reset. About half an hour ago this happened: see screenshot.
I totally have the same problem. But I am sure that the spot, where the recognition does not work, is changing.
Do you have any tips to solve the problem? Or are you sure, that it is a hardware related issue?
Same problem
After looking it up it seems we are the only ones to voice this issue which led me to believe this is hardware. I did a warranty swap and now I've never been happier spending 600 bucks on this. That's the short of it.
