Thought I would start a thread, where people can see how their MT4G stacks up against others. People can post their benchmarks and say what ROM they are running, where they have their processor clocked, etc....
Anyways, I attached my screens, I am running cm7... the benchmark test I just ran, was clocked at like 1.4GHz on cm7.
The quadrant is back when I was running an alpha, clocked at 1.2GHz
Best Quadrant Score seen so far: Unknown(Looks like CM7)

I don't have a pic but one time a month a go I was on miui and got 62 on linpack and 2900 on quadrant I was overclocked to 1.8ghz and managed to get a couple off before the phone froze up. You can see me on the high scores list on linpack website its Joe from bremerton

Mine is just a regular factory MT4G. No root, no OC no hacks of any kind.
Still waiting to see someone else on stock/factory meet or beat this

Impressive with factory MT4G. I get 1700-1800.
Most of these bench mark tools have not been updated to cm7 or 2.3 GB. Quadrant does not run well at all and some times show a black screen on 3D test, or locks up. Linpack seems to be working though.
Just FYI if you are using cm7 Android 2.3

Yea, but I thought benchmark 2011 or whatever the name is, was accepted as a more accurate marker..?
EDIT: SmartBench 2010 is what app I am talking about.
test was run at 1.6 and i stuck it in the freezer while running the test...
My phone is a taiwan version, with a good screen.
do you run quadrant back to back to get 1700-1800?
you should always toss the 1st one, as the processor isn't running at full speed ( at least i don't think so) because all tests after the initial one are always higher.
but the 2060 was my 2nd test after installing the app.
and too, that was like the only app i had installed at the time.
Hahah

I'm running CM 6.1.2 RC2 w/ Grankin's kernel.
Best Quadrant score I've got so far when overclocked to 1.8Ghz is 3114.
It runs stable but sucks the life out of the battery.
For every day use, I have it on 1.2Ghz.
I can't link to the outside since this is my 1st post... (there goes the cherry)
Here's a screenie anyway:

I'm getting 2390 on quadrant with my phone oc'd to 1.4ghz and running the latest version of Iced Glacier ROM. Zero freezing/reboots/lockups and decent battery life, decent battery life even with wifi/bluetooth/gps turned on and connected.

Quadrant isn't a good test or benchmark of the Samsung Galaxy line of phones.
It was designed to bench Snapdragon CPU's. Hence the reason the MyTouch4G scores in the 2000's and the SGS4G scores in the 900's.
Side by side comparisons are much better than benchmarks anyhow. Don't worry your SGS4G is just as fast as the rest of the 1Ghz phones out there.
Additionally the PowerVR SGX540 gpu in your phone is unparalleled in the mobile handset market right now.
I wasn't complaining about my score, was saying it's better than the original vibrant

Hey
I overclocked my Galaxy S and I did some tests in quadrant to see if my clock gave me lower performance.. Anyways I got 2950 as my best score @ 1.5 GHz but I see some HD2's getting 4400 in socre @ 1.5 GHz. I thougt my Galaxy S would get a better score then a HD2. Is it becouse the HD2 running a slimmer rom with less background processes or are they just lying?
I believe quadrant scores are heavily varying and dependent on the device, and for the most part, do very little to reflect "real" performance.
I don't have a straight answer, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. Your scores are still magnitude's higher than my Hero, my absolute highest (with unsafe tweaks to the clock and kernel) was about roughly 500

Overclocking is just ramping up the processor in your CPU to higher frequencies for faster performance. There are limits, you can't go too high because you risk damage and overheating, and going too low can cause severe slowdowns and instability.
BUt finding a sweet spot for the minimum and maximum processor speed can result in a much faster phone when the screen is on and a way better battery life with the screen off.
nice.... n thanx.... how did it works.... is there any soft stuff(app) available for it or somethin else....????

Ah...Good old days!
Anyways, there are many many ways to cheat quadrant.Running the app from a ramdisk, patching SQlite, running a rom from SD(I think) all boost the scores. That is,however, because Quadrant relies heavily on I/O,which gives unreal scores.Remove I/O benchmarking from the test and you have a helluva accurate benchmark.Pretty good too.
But on the SGS,let me make my guess. Are you running Cognition rom?If yes,are you using interactive governor?Again,if yes, switch to performance governor and yay,4000+ points in Quadrant!

Unfortunately, it requires a custom kernel, which in turn requires a custom recovery (and in some cases, a custom ROM) to achieve.
ohhh crap!!!! thats the reason i want a forum or some dev to create interest in my device..... hey can u tell me somethin j shud do....????

Im using CM7 with Glitch kernel. And I used "smartass" when I got the score but now I get like 2470 in score now even with performance. Plugged in the charger and now I got 2888 in score so I guess the charger helps a lot in quadrant to..

Cannot agree more. It sure is fun showing around your quadrant score but a quadrant score never reflects true real world performance. Maybe, Neocore would be a better benchmark but then again non of these benchmarks would show how fast apps could load or how smooth you switch between apps.
I use an LG GT540 Optimus. I was able to reach 64.3fps on neocore and 1250 on quadrant after overclocking to some 800MHz with performance controller.
Quadrant also doesn't reflect the core memory/cpu usage. ie Sense UI eats more resources than vanilla. So, same phone running vanilla and sense will have different scores.
I believe Samsung uses TouchWiz. Perhaps, you could score better with a vanilla rom or cyanogenmod.
Last but not the least, Quadrant scores could be faked just as easy as you could fake version numbers in About Phone.

Okay, here's the deal... When I run Quadrant Standard vs AnTuTu Benchmark my scores are always higher on the latter, usually about a 10% increase. Now since the update for AnTuTu that has changed to an increase of about 30%.
Now I know that some have expressed that the scores mean nothing, I on the other hand have noticed that as my scores have risen so has the performance of my device.
So, my question is can this be explained?

Quadrant = 2558
AnTuTu = 4139

Alright, before I OCed my phone, and before Chainfire, or AntonX's kernel, I took the test. I think I remember my score being around 2400. If I'm not mistaken, the lower the score the better? Or is it the higher, the better?
Anyways, I'm now OCed at 1.3, running VB Final, Anton's kernel.. and my score is only around 1800. The way the chart shows, the higher the number, the better. How can I get better scores? What is an ideal score for performance?
Also, I've notice a sizeable drop in the FPS during the test, from what it used to get to. The test breaks down as such:
Total: 1808
CPU 1366
Mem 1739
I/O 3720
2D 309
3D 1904
I wish I could remember the details of the last test, for comparison.
Run the test four times in a row. Then let us know what the numbers are. And higher is better
Running tests now, but wanted to go ahead and mention that for some reason today, my phone has been unlocking into the camera.
Ok, Score:
Total: 1845
CPU: 1389
Mem: 1796
I/O: 3955
2D: 175
3D: 1910
If it helps, some additional information:
After flashing my ROM, my phone would reboot once a day. Always while I was asleep. It wasn't really a bother, but after researching the forum a while, I found a fix: Go into CWM, Fix permission, wipe partition cache, wipe Dalvik chache. This worked. This was before OCing
Like previously stated, I'm on VB Final, with boostershot. I'm using AntonX's 1.1rc2 kernel. I have Chainfire 3D, with all three plugins installed. I'm OCed with SetCPU @ Max 1300 / Min 200
Quick Note, fixed phone unlocking into cam. Stupid me
Alright, I've been seeing some crazy high scores, like 2800 and 3400. Are my current ones where they should be? I'm using the app Quadrant Standard.
Are there any tweaks or anything, that could go with my ROM to get my score up? I have Booster Shot already for VB.
How does your phone feel with your day to day usage? Is it lagging? The reason I ask is because benchmark test are not always accurate, hence why your scores fluctuate so much... If you search benchmarking a Android device you'll understand what I mean.
So you can have really high quadrant scores but your phone can be laggy when you open apps, play games, surf the web, take pictures or anything else you may do with your phone.
Good luck

Yes, I've read the debates and facts in threads regarding the tests. I'm aiming to get slightly better performance. I know people can play intesive games on these devices with literally NO LAGGING, or stuttering. Like GTA 3, or Let's Golf 3. I'm trying to get there. So far, I'm WAY closer than when I started out as just plain rooted. It's playable now, but still stutters and lags more than it should.
what's your governor, i/o scheduler and scaling?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
My governer is Smartassv2.
I don't know what you mean by i/o, but on the governer settings it says:
io is busy 1
powersave bias 0
ignore nice load 0
up threshold 45
sampling rate 32500
There's no scaling option, you just set min and max, which i have at 200/1300
My governer says ondemand, even though i have it set to smartassv2. It said smartassv2 before i rebooted earlier.

I got it set back to smartass v2
When I was running VB Final with booster I would run a min of 2400. Using ondemand as govener I also use app called sd card speed increase. This is pretty consistent with all roms I run.
