[App][Market]T-Store: Dear Korean Users - Android Apps and Games

T-Store is SK's Android Market in Korea and I was looking for some feedback on it
If you are using a korean smartphone user you can get t-store from: www.tstore.co.kr
if you do not have it already.
However I just wanted to ask the users what they think about it compared to Google's Android Market and Amazon's Appstore. Thoughts, Criticisms, Rants, Suggestions, and any ideas that lead to better competition in the app store market is welcome. Thanks for your time!

I'm also interested in this, and other app stores for Android in Korea. Which ones do people use? why? what % of the sales go through Google Play and through the main stores?
If anyone in Korea knows please tell us.

I offer my graphic design skills.

Hi,
Don't know if this is the place but I fancy the thought of helping with the development of an android app or game.
I just want to take part in the growing android market.
And because I know very little about programming, I wish to make this announcement:
For more than five years I worked as a graphic designer and I am a currently unemployed. I am specialized within all areas of design from user interface to web design and 3D. Therefore, I want to take part in in any app or game.[/B]
I will not work for free if the app is a paid app or has in app purchasing.

All the best,

I'm currently working on mClock but I have also been looking into doing a super metroid style game if you're interested in helping me.
Hello, if you wanna make a new UI for the FriendsRadar App on the Android Market, we give it for free, and put the names of the collaborators on the About screen.
Let me know.
I already was contacted by a few folks and took on my first project. I hope others will follow. Don't be shy to ask for my help for whatever graphics you would need, though .
Replied to everybody who contacted me to this date. Hope I didn't miss anyone
Thank you all.
I'm an Android and iOS app developer in need of some graphic designers to design some icons and glyphs.
Well, let's see it. Send me via email the details of the free app so I can play around with it and see what can be done.

Do you have an iDevice to test it out on? The iOS version is actually much more mature than the Android one and I'm planning on releasing the iOS version first.
No, I don't. As I stated, I want to help the development of free android apps and games.
If whatever you are developing has a free android version, I'm the man to see.
Now available mainly for hard body (lowpoly or not) 3D Modeling/Texturing.
Sadly, I am now unemployed and I will have a greater amount of free time on my hands.
I will now also take on paid projects as well ( where the case ). So feel free to drop me a line.
Thanks!

[Q] Writing reviews

I am new to the Android platform after a couple of years tethered to Steve Jobs. I write a review blog for iPhone apps and games and hope to continue that with Android apps and games now. I'm familiar with the whole promo code process on the Apple App Store for getting review copies of things. Once I'd entered the promo code, it was as if I'd purchased the app. How does that work on the Android store? I've rooted my device, so screen shots and sideloading are no longer an issue. But I'm concerned as I start getting more and more sideloaded promo apps that they will trigger updates in AppBrian for things that I did not originally purchase and I'd be charged full price for the update. Can developers mark my account as having purchased the app in the market so I don't get charged in the future? Any help you expert guys can be in helping me figure out the best way to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Daniel

You might want to ask Google directly. Sorry i couldn't be more help. Did the app make you enter a credit card number? I know on the free trail apps you just loss the service it provided once the two weeks is up.

I'm smart enough to have asked google before I wasted your time. All I found was announcements where Apple first started giving developers promo codes and an old article from a year ago (ancient in Android timelines) that talked about wishing there was something like that on the Android marketplace. But it also mentioned things that I know are already addressed like the inability, at the time, to link to a market app with a URL. Maybe the new Amazon store will offer something like this. With all the developers that frequent this site though, I thought it was worth asking.

[Q] Google Now voice 'Personalized Recognition' in UK

Hello!
I recently purchased a Nexus 10 (And have a Nexus 5 on its way being posted tomorrow from the Play store ). I live in the UK and after reading online realized that you can use the Google Now voice features if you set the language to English(US). I have been playing around with this for a few days and its pretty cool. My only issue is that it seems to get several words wrong (my accent is quite plain, clean and distinguishable, although distinctly British), particularly when asking for directions etc where the words may not be of common use.
I read online that about 2 years ago, Google released a 'personalized voice recognition' feature but that this feature is only available to Google customers in the US (Google stated other 'languages' would soon be supported). Does anyone know whether this feature will be enabled after rooting the device? Has anyone from outside the US rooted their device and had the settings>voice>'personalized recognition' box appear? or used market enabler and had it appear?
There is no way Google would ever be able to produce a single voice model to encompass the entire UK regional dialects (Geordie, Scouse, Broad Yorkshire, Cockney, West Country etc.) henceforth it would seem this feature would be particularly pertinent for Google's UK customers, and other English based dialects for that matter (Australia/New Zealand etc.).
Cheers

They would only tell me that officially the Google Now app is only supported in the US. That's some help. . . . Its one of the defining features of the new OS. Maybe they should stick to selling their products in the US . . . .

Thanks PhillipTD, I'll check it out.
It turns out quite a few people are complaining about this to Google on their forums. If you are an android user AND English speaker AND live outside the US AND want to use the 'Personalized Recognition' service you can show your support on the Google forums here:

Lets be honest, the more people who complain, the more likely it is you will get the service. You opinion matters!

[Q] Importing a Japanese Phone (Android Market)

https://www.google.ca/search?q=SH-06D+NERV&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=643&site=webhp&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=iN84VcD8NMWpogT194DIAQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ
^This was my phone when I was teaching English in Japan many years ago... Yes an anime theme phone... I want to order another one for mainly sentimental reasons, but what I am concerned about is the apps/Android Market.
I already have a phone I am satisfied with, I wouldn't be using this one other than to play with some apps. How would accessing the Android Market work? Would I be accessing the North American Market or the Japanese one?
Please and thank you!

need help with mobile android and IOS apps.

hi, don't know where to post this. i'm looking for experience developers to help me with my startup company. i have 4 apps at the stores that require updates. 2 (apple) app store and 2 (google) play store, i own all the source codes. please, let me know if you or someone are interested. we can arrange a contract between you and me. thank you and really apologize for any inconvenience.
You had better hire one or two programmers as employees for new requirements development and app updates.
