Hi there. As a noob i couldnt ask directly to perdita2000 about his ROM ([ROM] TESLA RC5); so as vBulletin Message said, my only way to do it's using (i hope on right way) this zone.
Well, i installed his rom and it works fine .. then, i installed too googles apps (Latest Gapps) to try to link my phone (HTC HERO G2) to my own google account... after many tries i couldnt established connection between them. I would like to know if is there a way to locate the point of this problem.
By the way,i browsed fine on internet even i checked my google account on the default browser

sorry to bother all of you.. as noob , i didnt try the usual way to solve things.. reset, re-install,reboot... after i did it .. it seems it fixed itself..

Hello , this is my first post here so here it goes
My contacts application open up for a split second then closes itself.
I have tried installing a bare bone rom with nothing selected but ExtRom unlock
and yes i have done hard reset.
I have an alltel apache. I read a couple of post about this but none of those seem to apply to my case , since i got nothing selected. Please help i have flashed 22 times already and I'm pulling out my hair!
They guys at ppc Kitchen have tried to help me but nothing seems to work , my contacts app works just fine with the stock rom
I have tried Funcontacts and it wont let me add contacts
I have tried a few other contact managers and they wont come on either!

I just downloaded the Motoblur rom and installed it on my Ion (32b). It looks like the whole Blur experience is working.
However, I can't seem to download anything from the market. It shows all my recent downloads but when trying to install it fails/ unsuccessful install. The second issue is that it doesn't change orientation even when checked off in the options. Google contact sync and Wifi don't work either. I haven't confirmed if BT works yet.
Anybody have any ideas or patches? Is there anyway to install Astro straight from the sd card?

I can't reply to original topic, which is here.
I've downloaded version [ROM] CM7.2-20120325-gio-NIGHTLY-AROMA.zip nad installed it without any problems, in newest clockworkmod recovery 5.0.2.7.
My problem is, that after restarting wi-fi or whole system it changes mac address. First 3 pairs (if i remember it's producers code) are still the same, but the rest is random i think.
I've searched through this forum, and user google, but i don't found anything that can help me...
I found how to change mac address, but i read it's not permanent change...
Someone could help me?

OK, sorry that was my fault...
I run app named GooManager and after that and after while it said there is patch to current ROM. I installed this patch (I had to do it manually, because of GooManager crashes, i think it's because of SuperUser, but there were no info about needed priviliges) nad now everything works fine i think

Hoping someone here can help me with this weird problem I have. Any help is much appreciated. Also this is my first post, and I'm quite a n00b (I did watch the video), so please be kind.
Let me describe the problem in some detail:
When using Wifi everything works as per usual.
When using mobile data (Wifi disabled) apps cannot access the internet.
E.g. Whatsapp messages not delivered, No news/weather updates, Play Store wont load etc.
BUT I CAN browse the web . (Visit the CyanogenMod home page, Wikipedia etc.)
So I believe this can't be an APN setting problem or something of that sort, since there is internet access to the phone, just not to any app other than the Internet Browser.
I am a first time flasher, so please be kind. I used the instructions on: [https : //gist.github.com/1694742] to flash to CM7.1.0 (also followed the optional Gapps part). I couldn't use the instructions on the official wiki since my Hboot version is 2.00.0002.
It might be worthwhile noting that on my first boot, I tried to set up my Google account but failed, since (I presume) it could not get to the internet (even though the H sign is visible on top next to signal strength). Later on I can set up my Google account using wifi. Also no Google apps were actually there (even though I followed the instructions to flash them in) on first boot. I have to go to the market and manually download them (Gmail, youtube etc.) I'm not sure whether that is normal, but that's how it is. I have tried this entire process a couple of times, and always ended up with the same results: everything works on wifi, but apps (other than the Internet Browser) can't access the internet on mobile data (3G/H).
Also perhaps worth mentioning: I have now flashed to CM7.2 RC1 using ROM Manager, everything works fine, except that I have the same exact problem as before.
Any help is much appreciated !

Same problem.

I would suggesting going S-OFF and installing 4ext recovery (as opposed to CWM) as it will prove easier and more reliable.
You can Revolutionary to S-OFF but it requires an HBoot version of 0.98.0000 or 0.9.0002. To find out how to downgrade your HBoot, read this guide.

I have tried them both on my Lumia 710, and in my opinion RainbowMod v1.3 is the best!
Lumiatrix^7 4.1 rom seems to have a few bugs.
I started out with Lumiatrix^7 4.1 rom but ran into some "strange" things and a few bugs almost right away so I desided to flash the RainbowMod v1.3 rom instead. Now everything is working fine on my phone and I have not found any bugs.
hi. I've had a Rainbow Mod 1.3 installed some time ago. In general it was working pretty fine except: I couldn't configure MMS messages (the problem is very common for Lumias, can be fixed by installing and using the Network Setup app but I failed to install v1.6.0.0 from 4pda (doe to some error) and it is absent in Marketplace). This was critical for me and I decided to update. Moreover the newer core was released but Tolik (RM author) wasn't ready with new update to RainbowMod so I decided to try the Lumiatrix7_v4.1. The update was fast and successful. I had to re-link all my contacts with the facebook and linked-in contact list again (btw, does smb. know how to avoid that?) and reinstall some of the apps. People are saying about better operational speed... being hornest I didn't notice that. I am missing some useful tools in Lumiatrix e.g. ActiveSync, Operation list linked to the Search button BUT I have managed to get my MMS working now! So I am kinda happy :laugh:

Yeap. It has installed without any problem now and I was able to get what I needed.

Did network setup app 1.6 come with your rom or did you install it by itself? Also, can you access the mms settings in the network setup 1.6 app?
I can't find it on xda so let me know if you got it off the rainbow rom preinstalled or if you downloaded and installed it from separately
