I have looked the other threads about problems with the alarm but:
- none of the problems are similar the one that I'm having
- they are not problems for LG O3D handset or any other LG phone
- the solutions that I tried from those threads didn't work.
So that is the reason that I'm creating a new thread.
My problem with the alarm is that it doesn't go off on the time that I have scheduled it.
On the first day it start to ring after 10min of the scheduled time and on the second day after 9min.
Third day doing some testing it started to work after 20min and in another test it started only after I unlocked the screen.
So it's some pretty random and I'm not able to find the solution for it.
I had the Task Killer and removed it completely but, still no luck.
The things that I have now and I'm starting to think might be the cause of this problem is some Snes, Arcade and N64 roms that I have installed and a Live Wallpaper.
Those might be the cause for problem while they are working with the Alarm, but I really don't know.
Does anyone had or have the same problem? any thoughts?

Yes I started getting the same thing yesterday morning (!)
I believe it is a known problem and remember seeing a fix for it somewhere in the forums a year or so ago- just trying to find it.
I think the MemMaid app has option to 'delete' all alarms- has worked for the majority
Anyone else finding that PhoneEx locks up on them after awile? Seems like a great program otherwise but 2 or three times a day I'll bring it up and it won't do anything other than hide and show itself. It won't navigate between favorits, calls, contacts, etc. It is completely unresponsive. Attempting to kill the process with MemMaid generally toasts the phone and I have to reset it.
Just wondering if I'm alone in this, or if anyone else has discovered a magic combination of things that may be leading to this.

Well I can possibly answer my own question. On a hunch, I disabled S2U2 from automatic startup and I haven't had PhoneEx lockup once since.
Would suck cause I like S2U2, with PhoneEx I can ditch about three other programs I've been using, so I guess if it continues to work I will have to do without S2U2. Or perhaps I will try fiddling with it to see if there's a particular setting in S2 that is causing this issue.

Although since removing S2U2 the PhoneEx lockups have diminished in freqeuncy, they haven't gone entirely. I woke up this morning to find that PhoneEx was unresponsive, but, as is always the case, the rest of the system works normally (I haven't yet received a call with it in this state - it will be interesting to find out what happens).
Has no one else experienced this problem, or does no one else use PhoneEx?

I am... for about 4 days on two phones...nothing like that happend...yet and hopefully never does. love s2u2 and PhoneEx...i personally do not use phoneex to answer the incoming calls...i let the s2u2 to do all the job including the notifications....which is better to let s2u2 to deal with them so you won't get any conflicts...take care

by the way a new version it's gonna pop up any day now 1.4 the russians done a new improved version it take about four times less memory(about 300kb instead of 1000 kb) and fixed some bugs to it...it's out there already but only in chirilic language...the only problem i have so far is that i can't use the speaker button it kinda do weird noise when activate as if the speaker it's to close to the mic.

I does not lock up for me, although it took me 2 days to note that the keboard locks during a call and you have to unlock it to use the keyboard (could that be your problem?)
I do have another problem though and that is if I do a soft reset for whatever reason PhoneEx then spends 3 or 4 minutes "Intialising Contacts" before I can use my HTC Touch HD.
Anyone got a solution for this.

phoneEx is a great program. my friend has it and he has never had a problem with it on his windows mobile device.PhoneEx is a great program people with a windows mobile device should definatly look in to the program . i am curenty using the trial i am about to get the program i am looking forward to it i canot wait i can already see its going to be great . my phone is doing great with this program i love it and thanks Iconsoft you guys are really smart for putting the program on there . you can get the program by going to www.iconsoft.com

Installed PhoneEx (no to answer phone) on my Elf today after a week of using S2U2 - and had four lockups already. Any hope for this? *trying again with the "don't use keyboard lock " setting set to true as per another thread/post.

I'm new to this forum but an old member from the IPAQ Hx4700 good times.
Here's the issue and I don't know if others experienced the same.
When I set an alarm into the built in Calendar, the alarm won't wake the device.
Even more strange, when I wake it from sleep, the time showed is like it was when the device went into sleep. It takes about a minute to refresh. Looks like the internal clock is stopping when going into sleep???
I think this is why the alarm doesn't come on, because the clock is not moving on?
Any ideas, do you experienced the same?
BTW, I talked to Viewsonic support today and a some new patch and enhencement are coming in 2 - 3 weeks.

Hello.
I have a chinese phone, Inew I2000. ( clone of Chang N7300+ ). Well, to be fair it's Mediatek MTK6589 generic phone, like there's so many in china.
And this specific one have a pretty bad issue : it randomly freeze. The screen keep displaying the picture, but the phone doesn't respond to anything. Not even keeping the power button pressed. I have to take out the battery to reboot it.
I haven't been able to notify any pattern to those freeze. They will happen from 1 to 4 times a day. Sometime just while the phone is idle, sometime when I'm using it. It never happend to me in the middle of a phone call, but it happened while the phone was just sitting there. I would realise it was frozen when picking it, and realising it was not switching on of responding to anything.
I tried resetting it to factory setting, and re-installing the rom. It still happens. I am now wondering if this is a hardware issue, and if it is if there's anything I can do.
Google tols me that it seems other chinese phones have had the same issue now and then ... but I haven't been able to find a solution so far.
So as a last resort, I decided to ask to the place where I know of the most skilled people regardng phones and android ... here.
Just to mention, I'm not afraid of trying anything with that phone, including un-assembling it if it has any chance of solving the issue. If you have any idea, please share.
Edit : also, I tried looking for similar thread on xda, but didn't find any ... maybe I just didn't find the right keyword.
MTK6589 - Jiayu_G3S freeze

I have unfortunately same issue and didnt find anything useful too( I have Jiayu G3S). But my phone freezes only when it goes to sleep and then cant be wake up.
First issue was bad gsm antena. And after some time (few months) it start doing this. It was only 1-2 times or few days nothing. But now it almost everytime Its really annoying, cause i use my phone as alarm clock and it didnt wake me up. Sometimes freezes and the phone is very hot. Like when u play games. I try many many roms, try not to instal many of soft, try new kernel and nothing.
I´ll be very glad if someone have some idea. Warranty is over now (expires in 6month) so returning is impossible

I dont really know if this would help because I got my Ainol Fusion Air tab (before replacing with my cm life) I had the same issue with the freezing...Try this.
Settings-WiFi-Advanced-Uncheck "Keep WiFi off during sleep"

Guys, really need your help here. This issue is driving me crazy.
I'm using ATT LG G2 (D800). Every monring I wake up, the phone shows me "process.com.android.systemui has stop". It's every freaking morning when i wake up. I tried install the every single latest CM11 ROMs, from CM nightly 07/16 to 07/24. The issue exist.
Usually, the solution is reboot my device. Any after that, the phone is all good for the whole day until the next morning.
I suspected two causes: the theme and alarm.
The theme: i used CM11's theme engine. I tried different CM11 compatible themes, such as Flux, Empire and the issue exist.
The alarm: Since this happens every morning, the only difference is i have an alarm going on because the rest of the day it runs ok. I tried to simulate the issue by plugging in my phone and set the alarm to 1 minute later. But everything it's normal.....
Really don't want to switch and tried other ROMs. but if I have to, then I have to...
