HTC sensation 4g tmobile forum - HTC Sensation

I was wondering how similar the htc sensation and the sensation 4g (tmobile) are. Can one use the same mods, kernels, etc for both of them. I am asking because there is no separate forum for sensation 4g.

They are exactly the same, hence no separate forum

world unlocked working on att 3g

For my job I travel a lot. When I am hear in the us. I use the htc inspire 4g I love the phone and don't want to part from htc android.
I was in the Philippines a few weeks ago walking around the mall their and spotted a phone looking exactly like the inspire. But I think it had a front face camera. I think but not sure if it was the desire hd or not. I cant remember off the top of my head.
I was wondering if their is a HTC android phone out their that is factory unlocked phone that would have a front face camera and would work hear in the US on att 3g network. I believe they are 850 MHz ,1900 MHz bands.
Can anyone help me out if i need to post this some place else on the forums I have no problem with that.
My friend has the htc evo 4g and his got a front face camera. Its on sprint though

No it would not work with ATT 3g, and was likely the desire you saw. Regardless, there are no other HTC phones on the market right now that work with ATT beside the inspire.
The Telus Desire HD can and will work on AT&T but it does not have a camera on the front. As for the Inspire and the HD looking the same that is because they are the same, it is AT&T that hung the stupid inspire name on the phone!!!!! The phone that you saw in the Philippines was the A9191 and the Telus from Canada is the A9192 and the Inspire is the A9192 also.

[Q] What Happened to all the Threads?

Logged into forums this morning to find almost all the threads gone for the Mytouch 4g in each of the categories. Doesn't seem to be the case for anything else? Will they be restored?
Are you mixing up mytouch 4g slide with mytouch 4g? Here's the link to the mytouch 4g: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=793
The poster above me is right, on that note. Thread closed.

Is this really a flawless mobile phone?

HHello Everybody
I was looking at HTC Inspire 4G since some time.
The HTC Inspire 4G is a very new and nice mobile phone on paper as per it's specification.
In spite of that, i can see it being listed in eBay easily for around 200$ USD often.
I can't find even a HTC Desire mobile phone for around 200 $ USD.
HTC Desire S and HTC Increble 4G, both has nearly similar specifications.
In-spite of that HTC Desire S costs way too more than HTC Inspire 4G.
Has HTC Inspire 4G any other major flaws than paltry battery life?
Yea the speaker phone sucks BAD!
You do know that the inspire A9192 is the same phone as the desire HD A9191 except for the radio. It uses 850/1900 for the high speed data (umts/hspa/wcdma or whatever you want to call it). Not sure what your carrier uses but you may want the A9191 instead as that is a european/asian phone with different bands.
Same complaints as every other phone. Sound, gps, battery complaints. The battery is expected. Sound could be better for the media end but functions correctly. The gps may be more of a dropping it, incorrectly configuring it with custom ROMS, or just incorrect use (like trying to use it inside). It is a fundamentally sound phone though. One of the best I have ever used. I have had 0 issues. I have the Telus DHD which is identical to the inspire but sold in canada.

One more thing if I wanted to go back stock gb would the ruu be ok to downgrade to

If you have the right one but it's best to just downgrade firmwares and flash a GB rom. So many people rush to Q and A cause they tried to downgrade and run a RUU or something like that and now their phone won't boot.

Hmmm that is curious, it must do this because the OTA update that is available right now is for European areas. I guess that over seas they use the classic H as the symbol to show the device is in a HSPA+ coverage area. And not the 4G that is used on our devices here in the US when the device is in w HSPA+ coverage area. Is it just me area does anyone else see the nasty art of marketing and how easy it is to mentally fool Americans with the whole term 4G.
Oh and I know that someone if not several someones out there will say, "No it is just T-Mobile USA's way of keeping from having to deal with numerous customer service calls asking why do I not see "4G" on my Sensatio?" If you really think that and beleive that, I am here to tell you that is not the reason. I mean T-Mobile used the H on several of thier 3G devices that could make use of the HSPA+. So most mindless American's would never beleive that they are truly getting "4G" because they had the H on their 3G device. Or simple cause they do not see "4G". It is all American marketing BS lol.

TMOUS ICS update tethering block on non-T-mobile network?

Not sure if anyone will have answers to this yet...but we all read that the new update will stop wifi hotspot according to T-mobile unless you pay....but I am not on T-mobile network...i.e. I've unlocked my T-mobile phone and uses a different network in Canada.....so would this tethering block affect me as well? I have no way to activate it through T-mobile anyway.
What do you guys think?
No it sounds like T-Mobile servers are now checking user agents.

You mean it only affects people who actually uses T-mobile services? So they haven't turned off that function on the phone itself or something crazy!
there might be a workaround. i am not sure if it is similar to the htc amaze problem. but with the htc amaze, the issue appeared to be the new apn. changing it back to the old apn allowed free hotspot again on the amaze.
