Wow! Really, htc needs to check themselves on this. That's crazy that it has no curved glass.
What screen does it have?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
Screen protectors should fit better and not curl up on the edges.
How's the screen look, resolution, viewing angle, colors?
Any difference in how responsive it is?
Where was the phone made?
WTF, that's so strange. What's the build date on that?

#1...That's not a screen protector..lol..Did u even read what I wrote??...I said its the sticker that came on the phone at purchase.
Screen is solid and full of color from all viewing angles. It does NOT wash out at all.
Responsiveness is way better. Scrolls with no lag through the carousel.
It was made in Taiwan.

Hmmmm... I never did notice a steve in my screen. I bought my Sensation on launch day. Sharp Display Panel and a, manufacture date of 06/04/2011 in Taiwan.
Awesome device, no problems to speak of really. I looked for the curved glass as soon as it was out if the box in-store. Thought that it was just my perception and that the "curve" must've been a very slight one.
I like it though! No complaints here!!!!!

Yeah, I read what you wrote. Did you read what I wrote?
It's been reported that some screen protectors curl up on the edges of the curved glass models. This one shouldn't have that problem which is a good thing.
Thanks for posting the pic and the info.
Uhhhhh......That is just like any other device we have. Look at the first picture; the screen protector edges is not sticking the screen. I still have my original plastic on while waiting for mine and it is the same exact thing. I'll post a picture
How do we find out if we have curved glass? Only thing I can feel (can't see) is a slight curve up at the very top where the glass meets the ear speaker area.

Not sure if you are responding to my post, but to clarify, I am aware he doesn't have a permanent screen protector on there in those pics. It's just the temporary one that ships with the phone.
I was just saying that proper screen protectors can be installed that go all the way to the edge of the glass and not curl up on this flat screen, unlike the curved screen model. There have been several posts in other threads about this issue.

the case and the protective glass are curved
the SAMOLED display is flat
that's why you should expect to have some touch sensitive UNresponses near the bottom of the most curved part

Are you sure that the SAMOLED is flat? My understanding of SAMOLED screens is that there is no glass between the screen and the touch surface as there is in most typical touchscreen devices (Wikipedia confirms and the Engadget review directly states "Curved Super AMOLED") Looking at the screen from the side, I can see my background curving and I cannot reproduce the "UNresponses" on either the top or the bottom of my device or my wife's.
Wikipedia said:
Super Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode or Super AMOLED is a display technology for use in mobile devices such as mobile phones. It differs from many other display technologies in that the layer which detects touch is integrated into the screen rather than being overlaid on top.

I'm not an expert, but I'd venture a guess that given that information saying the entire screen is curved is a safe bet.

I think the curved screen looks GREAT, and gives the phone a distinctive look that no other phone in its class has.
There's certainly one small advantage to the curved screen...if you drop the phone or lay it on a table face down, the bulk of the screen cannot touch the surface and get marred. On the other hand, I suspect someone will say that it's worse for that because the impact on a drop is placed in a smaller area and increases risk of shatter. I'm not a glass engineer, so I don't really know if that's true or not, but it would make sense.

I just used my LED flashlight and I couldn't see it. Also, I can't find where that picture was from and I'm always weary of sources I can't check.
I found this: http://http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/09/samsung-super-amoled-explained-in-pretty-moving-pictures-video/ which states that:
t's thinner since the touch sensors are now integrated into the display

And this: http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus-S-Teardown/4365/1 but it has no side view pictures of the screen but from what I can tell, it looks super thin which goes against the other posted pictures.
As I said before, all of this to me indicates that the entire screen is curved as I cannot reproduce any touch "UNresponses", I still maintain I can see my background curve, everything I've read indicates that a SAMOLED is a SAMOLED because the touch sensor is built into the screen and not on top of it, and I can''t see a difference with a powerful flashlight.

I see, I did not see a second page. I was wrong.
Not really sure why allgamer had to "do my home work for me" with lmgtfy as I posted the link to the website, I just didn't see the second page. It would have wasted a lot less of your time if you had just said "Look on the second page" as demo23019. I don't generally care about teardowns so I have never looked at one before.
And actually, skepticism is what holds the world together. If people hadn't questioned what was beyond the horizon we wouldn't have ever left Africa. What you said clashed with what I understood so I explained why it didn't make sense and posted where my knowledge came from. If you can't handle someone questioning something that doesn't make sense to them in an adult manner, that is your own failing, not mine.

I'm going to go buy a full body BodyGuardz this weekend and i'll report back with pictures, and a review. I've had a lot of bodyguardz for various phones, and they cover the best. They have the orange peel and sticky feel on the screen, but not nearly as bad as i've seen on Zagg. I've never once been satisfied with zagg.
I've tried Stealth Guards on my iphone and desire Z, and the screen protector is a good texture, feels smooth, no resistance. But they don't cover enough of the body.
Never owned BSE
I've had a Skinomi, and they have the same texture as the Stealth guards, but they seem to be very vulnerable to peeling. Also not enough body cover. (might as well buy the stealth guards, they're cheaper)
Anyone got any yet?
I just Installed Skinomi full body. I've had no issues so far and I like the results. I followed the direction to the T, but added the extra step of applying the protectors in a steam up bathroom. Helps minimize dust, and the stream aids in installation).

After work I will post some pictures, I have the product pictures on me right now. Another thing is the product states that once applied to at least allow 12-24? hours to use. I am using it less than that, probably a bad move on my part. So far no problems, we'll see by the end of today.

thanks for the pics! the screen protector looks awesome. the full body could be a bit larger. the back looks funny haha. but i really like that screen protector, i've always liked skinomis compared to other brands.
Thanks. Ya I could do it again but pull'em tighter. But I am very satisfied. I was surprised by how the body peices held up, I figured they would peel off in my pocket, but no problems. The only con's I can think of is there are some thin exposed parts of the phone, imprint of object or finger nail leaves dimples but fade smoothly; slowly. If applied correctly it will last.

I'm going to go get my bodyguardz now. Ill post up pics when I get it on
the bodyguardz kioske in the mall didn't have them in stock yet -_-. gotta order them online.. damnit
i got a invisible shield from best buy because i was impatient and didn't want to wait for shipping. they don't have the full body, so i got the screen protector.
i just finishd putting it on, the texture is different than previous zaggs i've used. also there are a bunch of horizontal lines evenly spaced (they were there before i put it on, not scratches) which you can see at certain angles. and they also have a little zagg logo on the bottom right of the screen protector.. that's new.. and annoying. it's hard to see, but since i know it's there. i don't like it -_-
i'll take some pictures when i can, but overall it's the same resistant non smooth that i dislike about zaggs.

Promised to do a review on this screen protector, so paulo this one's for you. Haha. Well I've had this screen protector on for about 4 weeks now, and I absolutely love it. I would definitely recommend it, especially for those on a budget. A $5.95 well spent.
Pros:
Dry application
Precise cut outs
Great touch responsiveness (Swyping with this bad boy is a breeze.)
No fingerprints
No smudges
Better visibility in sunlight
Looks sexy lol
Cons:
Took me 2 out of the 3 protectors to get it on right, or without bubbles. Maybe I'm just not good at that.
Screen quality degradation (This is expected with a anti-glare/matte screen protector. There is some pixelation, which is really noticeable on white backgrounds.)
You can but it HERE.

I'm guessing you are taking about the difference between this picture of the screen protector:
vs
Well there are two reasons.
1. I didn't apply the screen protector perfectly. You can also see the little bubbles created by dust left on the screen. So I took it off, and tried again.
2. Two different cases. I doubt this affects it, however, considering I switch the cases out per week and the gap between the screen protector and the case doesn't increase or shrink.
I have two cases. The white one the Mercury TPU Nexus 4 case(comes in many different colors), and the black one is the Acase Superleggera Pro Hybrid dual layer Nexus 4 case(also comes in different assortments).
I'm also using this screen protector and I love it too, great price ya can't go wrong with these. ????

I bought this screen protector 3 months ago but never used it, as it looks like a hassle to apply if it takes going through most of them to get one that is applied properly. I just kept the stock plastic protector on mine; maybe after that gets destroyed I will give it a try.

its pretty simple just be quick, and i would day do it in the restroom, less dust in the air. always works for me.
I've installed countless screen protectors for me and friends. For the wet ones, you definitely want to be in a steamy bathroom as that helps settle the dusts. The dry ones, need to be done quickly. You can slip a small piece of tape between the screen and the screen protector to grab some of the dust. The stickiness of the tape beats the static force created by the protector. Not sure of its technical name.
My silliest method was to put the phone in the middle, on top of a fan blowing air upwards. That way it created a space where dust will not be. It worked perfectly.

I mean, I guess there is. But to notice the bubbling you would have to nitpicking or looking in with a magnifying glass (not really). I'd say the bubbling on the side is about .25 cm from the edge. Really slight, and with my case on you can't notice it.

Right now, there are three types of glass out there.
1) Flat glass cut to the size of the screen. Since the edges of the screen are rounded, the edges of the glass don't adhere. This produces what people call a "halo" effect, because the part of the glass not sticking will appear white, creating a white ring around the outside of your screen.
2) Flat glass cut to fit only on the flat part of the screen. It stops before it reaches the curvature of the screen, and therefore doesn't extend to the edges. In my opinion, it looks bad, I'd be constantly scraping my finger along the edge, and it's not even protecting my entire front of my phone, so what's the point?
3) Curved glass cut to fit the entire front of the phone, edge-to-edge. There aren't many of these out there and reviews are really just trickling in. I started a thread for discussion of them, but no content as of yet. I'm hoping that the glass makers will wise up and go this way.
So 2.5d means it should cover the whole screen edge to edge? Haven't managed to find any like this yet

2.5d means that the edge of the screen protector has a curve to it. This makes the glass screen protector less prone to nicks and cracking.

Hi,
Has anyone got images of the full glass screen and the middle covered glass screens on the actual phone yet?

I bought one Yootech glass screen protector for my Nexus 5X,but there is one air bubble. So I try another brand, looks great and feels good.
I used the Yootech for G4 and it's pretty great, hopefully this one works well too
Has anyone recieved one of these yet that has the top bit of the phone covered as well? I'm wondering how it interacts with the curve at the top. Thanks.

i wonder what will happen to the bottom, uncovered by the glass, battery part.
thick plastic housing over metal will definitely be sratched badly in first month of use.

I'm returning an item just like this (different vendor) as the adhesive is just around the borders and top.
The adhesive is weak and in my case it was not aligned properly to the "glass" so you could see it covering some parts of the screen.
The middle have no adhesive whatsoever and it does not make contact with the phone screen. This causes the protector to flex and each tap/touch on the screen feels like using an old phone with plastic screen.
One last thing: it is a fingerprint magnet and very reflective.

Dang, that sucks. I'll definitely be needing tempered glass, and this is one reason I'm leaning toward the G5—Edge owners are having a devil of a time finding a good one for themselves.
Please post pics of the Yootech.
I'd be really surprised if there's a tempered glass protector that is already correctly designed for the curve at the top. As in, Will it stay stuck? In the past whenever I've had a curved glass phone it's usually months after its release when a company finally designs a true curved TGSP. I hope I'm wrong because I have a Yootech on the V10 and it's great! (Them not making one for the S7 yet might be a sign as to why this was pulled from Amazon).
I settled for a cheap square one for now [Omoton on Amazon].

It is too expensive in my opinion.Less than $10 is OK.
I'm cautious of anything that claims to cover curved glass. This is just based off of my past purchases.
