Downanimation dimensions - HTC Inspire 4G

Any of you animators know why the boot animation can be 240x400 or 480x800, but the shutdown animation can only be 480x800?

The only thing that I could assume is that something is coded in the system to specifically look for those dimensions for the down animation. From everything I have researched the dimensions for the animations and splashes are supposed to be 480x800 for these phones. Sorry if this is not helpful. I am just throwing out my hypothesis.

In the rom I'm using, there are boot animation and down animation settings in default.xml, but only for frame rate, not dimensions.
Someones got to know how to do this

Anyone?

Not sure about the down animation, I'll do some tinkering with it and see if I figure anything out, as to boot animations, they can be any size really as long as the thing fits within 480x800

Any luck?

(?) Gingerbread Screen Off Animation

I'm a huge fan of the Gingerbread Screen off Animation on my HD2..
What would it take to add a screen off animation on Froyo? There has to be some way.. right?
Hasn't been done anywhere else, so I doubt it'd be done on the Tab :/

i dont know what the animation is, but overcome you can edit animations
So far no one has done it yet, although this is the closest thing out there I guess, I've been using it for quite awhile:

It has an Old TV/Tube style animation, but isn't as eye candy as the Gingerbread one.

Splash screen

Just wondering exactly what it is??

It's the image before the boot animation usually a carrier or manufacture logo

yeah, its the boot screen basically but you can customise it to make it something interesting or funnny, like android pissing on apple

No you are confusing something, what you are talking about is the BOOTANIMATION.
The splashscreen is the usually static image shown BEFORE the bootanimation.
It is usually the first thing that shows when turning a device on.
Cool I see people post em and always wondered

if your s-off you can do your on splash screens.

CRT animation

hi guys
love the CRT animation, but i don't care too much for all the animations. but here's the dilema, if i turn animations off, then i dont' have the crt animation, if i have the CRT animation, then the phone feels a little slow with all the animations..
is there a way to seperate the two?
i'm ok if this never works out, but i just want to know cos i'm sure there are others out there like me
any thoughts?
thanks
What about the "some animation" setting? That took away my animations but left my crt animation there.

Yeah that's what I'm on now.but ideally I'd like it if it's no animation but still has the cry animation
.. just asking out of interest I know I'm nit picking

Is there a better Galaxy Nexus Boot Animation ?

=\ should be a much sharper and vibrant animation than the ones found in the ICS Roms... if there isn't then bleh

theres a darker version which makes it look more vibrant floating around in the Samsung Vibrant forums. Maybe someone can make a copy for the NS. I'm actually looking for a copy of it for my NS4G.
Lol =/ let's hope for one

Bah, the ics animation is pretty bad - but not nearly as irritating as the honeycomb boot. I prefer the simple, clean Glados/Aperture animation or the stock nexus gb.
boot animation change
I upgraded my android os to nexussbeam it change the boot animation too. I like the old x animation better.
It plain sucks... i'm half considering just using the gb nexus boot antimation.

Yeah I don't like the boot animation either... started out with an X and I still think its epic from other boot animations that come stock ...might as well stick to it but let it animate differently into an X .... its probably gonna ride until 2013 new nexus phone

Boot Screen Animation Question

ok i haven't posted in a while but have recently been toying around with my phone again and i recently came across a boot animation i really want on my hero. i know a lot of people have moved on to bigger and better phones but i still use my hero every day i <3 the little phone.
Here's a link to the video of it. i tried changing the numbers in the DESC.txt file to change the resolution to fit the hero but i just get a blank screen then it loads on up. so what am i doing wrong? from what i understand that should be all i need to do to make it fit and work, or is it a bit more involved than that? is there something else that needs to be done like changing the resolution of every part file?
