Is there a better Galaxy Nexus Boot Animation ? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

=\ should be a much sharper and vibrant animation than the ones found in the ICS Roms... if there isn't then bleh
-Google

No but u can probably edit the .png files in the bootanimation.zip with photo edit software to enhance

theres a darker version which makes it look more vibrant floating around in the Samsung Vibrant forums. Maybe someone can make a copy for the NS. I'm actually looking for a copy of it for my NS4G.

Lol =/ let's hope for one

Mind posting link...replacing the images on ours with that should work

Bah, the ics animation is pretty bad - but not nearly as irritating as the honeycomb boot. I prefer the simple, clean Glados/Aperture animation or the stock nexus gb.

boot animation change
I upgraded my android os to nexussbeam it change the boot animation too. I like the old x animation better.

It plain sucks... i'm half considering just using the gb nexus boot antimation.

Yeah I don't like the boot animation either... started out with an X and I still think its epic from other boot animations that come stock ...might as well stick to it but let it animate differently into an X .... its probably gonna ride until 2013 new nexus phone

(?) Gingerbread Screen Off Animation

I'm a huge fan of the Gingerbread Screen off Animation on my HD2..
What would it take to add a screen off animation on Froyo? There has to be some way.. right?
Hasn't been done anywhere else, so I doubt it'd be done on the Tab :/

Surprised its not a feature in adw

i dont know what the animation is, but overcome you can edit animations
So far no one has done it yet, although this is the closest thing out there I guess, I've been using it for quite awhile:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock&feature=search_result
It has an Old TV/Tube style animation, but isn't as eye candy as the Gingerbread one.

mt4g on/off screen

anyone see how the mt4g turns on and off like an old television? i always liked that. anyone know if it's possible to get that on the g2x? i've been rooting/playing with android since g1 and am very good with adb. but have no idea where to begin or if this is even possible. thanks in advance.
It's part of Gingerbread 2.3 so as soon as LG updates the 2x it should do the old CRT shut off animation.

I believe the crt shutdown was removed from gb. If I recall correctly.

My Gingerbread Nexus does it, but it is an option that can be toggled.
the CRT animation is part of GB. my NS has it and my stock mt4g didn't.
also from reading the forums it seems that the animation is part of GB's framework and can't be installed on froyo.

Transformers decepticon boot animation with optimus sound

I no longer have an evo and do not actively check any threads i have created for the evo in the past, if you have a question and I do no answer in a timely manner please send me a private message and I'll do my best to help you out.
Heres a boot animation that I found, it's the transformers decepticon logo and digital rain looping, with transformers audio. I don't know who made the original animation to thank them but if someone knows please let me know so I can give them proper credit.
to use this open terminal and type
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource
adb push SPC_final_animation.mp3 /system/customize/resource
Thanks guys, I'm still trying to make a better animation using screen caps from the movie but it's already 3:30 am and my wife is gonna kill me if I do this all night
SPC_final_animation.mp3
bootanimation.zip This is the new resized one it fills the screen properly.
By the way, if theres any problems I'm sorry I'm kind of tired
hey man. nice work. saw this a long time ago, and have been searching for it since. love it. thanks for the contribution.
if you want, i can whip this up into a flashable zip for the peepz
That would make it extremely more convenient, I haven't had time to create a flashable zip

here you go. uploaded finally.
i made 2 sense ones (w/sound, no sound) and 2 aosp ones (also w/sound, no sound) tell me if they don't work or something. written in amend, so doesnt work with cwm 3.0+
Thanks man, pretty quick for someone thats in 8th grade, I wish I could do any of this when I was that young.

you need to resize both the actual .png files (yes, each one individually) and the desc.txt must be modified to support that resolution you resized to.

yea that's right. wired that that dude's size is off then.
The logo is correct on my phone, but the matrix text is too small

Ok I found the problem, the call outs in the base desc file were incorrect, I'll have to change it when I get home and am on my laptop, for some reason the set up is for 320x480 I have no idea how that happened but I will have it changed it'll probably be about 3 hours or so though.
I was waiting for someone to do this! Are the zips flashable through recovery, or do I replace the existing bootanimation file with this one?
Ok I fixed the problem, I'm uploading the new one now it will be in the original post.
Rob the zips I uploaded must be pushed through ADB
DK's are the flashable zips
i'll update my flashables with the new boot.zip probably later tonight.
Alternate sound
Here is the audio I have been using with this for a while.

[Q] possible port Pantech Burst screen off animation.

IIs it possible to port over the Pantech Burst screen off animation?
Is a much cleaner CRT animation then have seen on any of the other phones.
If you want to see it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJr2lHOZumM&feature=related
At 12sec it does it. I have also seen it in person at work.
the phone has the same size screen as the G2X and i think same resolution too.
If theres a file that we need i can try and get it off the demo I just need to know what the file is called.
That's the regular CRT animation. It's just sped up on the G2x due to the framework.

It does seem to be cleaner but, have you ever seen one of old CRT's that did that? It wasn't clean. I like the lack of cleanness, it's nostalgic.

Need some theme help. Tron theme

This is what I have so far but I'm looking to make it all red. I can make a red trim background just haven't had time to do it. But I would like an ICS style lock screen in red, and possibly have the lock circle be a data disk. And finally a Tron Legacy boot animation in red if possible. I would deffinitly make my own boot animation but I am terrible at animation and I really don't want just a clip from the movie. Many help and references would be awesome. And if anyone could point me in the direction to learn how to make Go Locker lock screens that would be awesome. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/sre...19649&authkey=Gv1sRgCLre7cnC6NyCTQ&feat=email

For animations I use adobe after effects. As far as the go locker stuff I really don't know never messed with it. More then likely you would have to build an entire new app for it.
