How is it? I'm on BAMF 1.7 now.

I got 30 hours this weekend on the extended battery. Running cm7.1 RC 0.6.

I averaged about the same on cm7 as the last guy stated with an extended battery. I used the stock shipped radio with imo's kernel.

I get anywhere from ~17-25 hours depending on what I'm doing. I did get 36 hours several weeks ago right when it RC0.6 was released.
Stock battery, stock radio, imo's kernel.

2.6.35.13 kernel from Slayher. And the most recent froyo approved radio. Sorry the name/number of it escapes me right now. I know a lot of people really like Imo's kernels and I've used them in past. But for now this is my set up.

Don't fix what isn't broken right? Slayer's Kernal works just fine.

Radio 0422r or 0223r (officially released froyo radios).
CM7 0.6 is much better than the previous pre-alpha versions. I'm very happy.

I can get up to 30 hours if I'm just doing regular use a few phone calls or texts. It's hard to tell though because I have it connected almost everywhere I go. Work, car, home. the couple of times I haven't had it on a charger for a while it's lasted a day and a half or so with extended battery

Exactly my thought as well. I may try one of those ultra lean kernels eventually but last time I tried that wifi stopped working. I should note that I live and work in bfe Indiana and my phone fights tooth and nail for a signal all day long which I'm sure further hurts the battery.
The MR2 and MR2.5 were the best by far for my reception but cm7.1 doesn't use them currently. So for the time being I usually spend 50-75% of my time searching for a signal. Wifi at home helps this out but still. The MR radios were more likely to be in the circa 50% area of time spent looking for a signal.

Miui ??

Did anyone else have horrible battery life running the Miui ROM??
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Mine is pretty much the same as ec10.

I unplugged it from 100% charged..used it for 5 mins and it drained to 90%..anyway to fix this??

Try wiping battery stats in clockwork, and do a power cycle.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
It's well documented that some people have bad battery life in miui.
I would suggest wiping absolutely everything, and make sure you have the battery charged fully when you flash it. (i know that sounds like voodoo magic BS, but it worked for me, and supposedly it has for other people as well)
I guess I'm just special, I flashed with like half battery and just wiped cache and data.

Same here...im getting almost 12 hours if mild moderate use...then I'm around 25%
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA Premium App
I was very lucky to get three hours but I would say that was relatively heavy use. In the end I decided to go to the AOSP rom. It seems now like my battery never wants to charge all the way and every time I reboot the battery stats are way different, going to have to figure that out soon or go back to ec10.

The newest miui rom has a overclock on the processor, you could find a kernel that undervolts for better life.
The peanut butter jelly aosp kernel has a 100 uv that I've been running, after a couple days to let the phone get used to the new firmware it is working great and good battery life

Personal Battery Life Records!

Hi all just wanted to make this so users could compare Rom/Kernel combos and reported battery life. I understand its a rough estimate, but hey its fun to see. Make sure to include stats and rom/kernel

You've got to be kidding me with those numbers... For the 8 hours the display was on how was it used?
Do you have the extended battery?
YouTube, browser, xda, and some angry birds rio. No I don't have a extended battery.

I have gotten similar results with virus and lean kernel on mine with the stock battery. I even get those results while flashing different things and making backups. I use my phone for web surfing emails texts phone calls and music.

If that's real you've got one hell of a setup. I use the same ROM with the 4.3 kernel and get a little more than half of that. Although I'm a little skeptical that is a stock battery.
I wish I had taken a shot of my record, but I wasn't thinking before I put it on the charger. I also made it to a little over 8 hours of use on Perfect Storm with the 4.1b kernel, up-time was around 20 hours. made at least 50 texts, an hour of phone calls, about 30 minutes of angry birds, a bit of web browsing and a lot of youtube, along with other various here-and-there tasks. I'm going to try to make it again on my next cycle and post results then. BTW I keep the kernel clocked at the full 1.4 ghz and brightness on auto.
Question Can I install roms like all the ones I used to on my droid 2?
Just go in clockwork, mount, install zip and reboot?
Or is it somehow more complicated than that?

Not sure why you're asking this in this thread, but no you cannot. you can only install the roms that are made for each phone. Someone can PORT a rom from another phone to work with ours, but someone has to port it first before it will work.

The V6 Supercharger

The first post alone in that thread is huge and yes I've read it. I'm just curious if anyone has tried it on their Infuse and it worked for them and if they would recommend it to others. Or any other input basically.
[SAMSUNG-SGH-I997R XDA Pre~App, Infused 2.0.2]
Its worked for me, after some testing, i found that dynamicRAM's tweaks felt a little better to me. I also have the auto memory optimizer that my friend loaded for me to tweak the min free values.
Using it as is. No problems.
Is there any way to back out this script? I just tried this script and found that my 4G indicator is gone. I have Zeus 5.2 ROM. If there any way to get my 4G back, please advise.
Thanks!

Well, I flashed again this theme and my 4G Lite come back. It looks like my battery got better after applied this script. It discharged only 1% every 2 hrs. Before is 1% every 1hr on standby. Hmmm...I read the OP and it doesn't say anything about better battery.
Still, I would like to know how to back out this script...just in case. Re-flash the ROM will do?

Could use some suggestions.

I've used every rom on XDA and they're all great in their own way. I'm currently running the latest miui by whitehawkx. At first it was great but now I'm getting slow down and random loss of signal that only returns with a restart. I also have problems with the screen not turning back on properly. I press the lock button and the screen will light up like its about to turn on or it will flash the lockscreen for a second then go blank. Only fix is to relock then unlock again, quite a pain.
I'm looking for a daily rom that will get me at least 9 hours of battery life, is fast and responsive. Like I said, I've used all of the roms here but I don't want to go through the hassle of setting everything up for each rom and testing for multiple days to make a choice. Personal choices are welcome but please say why you like it.
On a side note, does anyone know why updates have pretty much stopped for all the roms our phone can use?
Thank you!

Try Weapon 3. I have been using it for a few weeks without any problems. Better battery life is accomplished with turning off GPS, Bluetooth and data when you're not using them. As well, don't run unnecessary apps and don't overclock.

Was actually in the process of downloading weapon. I can't shut data off since I need constant access to my email but otherwise I already do the other things. I've only been able to get about 10 max on my phone regardless of the rom, might have a bad battery.

I used GiggleBread with Trinity kernel and got over 25 hours as a max. On average I'd be around 16-18 hours with that combo. Try that. And this is with moderate use.
Wtf is gigglebread? If its on xda then I stand corrected in my statement that Ive used all the roms.

Battery dying fast

Im on Fb version of VB and its amazing. Only problem dies so fast, 6hrs and a full charge is gone. Any suggestions on how to fun this??
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
It's because it utilizes Bryan's SMS KJ6 RC3 kernel. It's a known "issue" with that kernel. A couple of previous versions of that kernel had a random reboot issue. Unfortunately the "fix" (doesn't really fix the crux of the issue per Bryan but rather prevents the issue from occurring) causes the battery drain.
Iirc, it's not rc 3 that drains the battery.. That was 0.2.0 - rc3 still has potential reboots.

Unless you use BLN, I'd say going back to icbinb is probably a good idea for stability and great battery life.
It sounds more like something else is going on. I'm on FB's build also, w/ the same modem and kernel but my battery lasts just fine. So it isn't the rom or the kernel.
