The V6 Supercharger - Samsung Infuse 4G

The first post alone in that thread is huge and yes I've read it. I'm just curious if anyone has tried it on their Infuse and it worked for them and if they would recommend it to others. Or any other input basically.
[SAMSUNG-SGH-I997R XDA Pre~App, Infused 2.0.2]

Its worked for me, after some testing, i found that dynamicRAM's tweaks felt a little better to me. I also have the auto memory optimizer that my friend loaded for me to tweak the min free values.

Using it as is. No problems.

Is there any way to back out this script? I just tried this script and found that my 4G indicator is gone. I have Zeus 5.2 ROM. If there any way to get my 4G back, please advise.
Thanks!

Ummm...theres no 4g icon in Zeus... I didn't put one in

That is strange. I flash this ICS theme after your ROM. Is this from you?

I think I see it showed 4G Lite...something like this.

I put it in for a day, and took it back out...

Well, I flashed again this theme and my 4G Lite come back. It looks like my battery got better after applied this script. It discharged only 1% every 2 hrs. Before is 1% every 1hr on standby. Hmmm...I read the OP and it doesn't say anything about better battery.
Still, I would like to know how to back out this script...just in case. Re-flash the ROM will do?

Could use some suggestions.

I've used every rom on XDA and they're all great in their own way. I'm currently running the latest miui by whitehawkx. At first it was great but now I'm getting slow down and random loss of signal that only returns with a restart. I also have problems with the screen not turning back on properly. I press the lock button and the screen will light up like its about to turn on or it will flash the lockscreen for a second then go blank. Only fix is to relock then unlock again, quite a pain.
I'm looking for a daily rom that will get me at least 9 hours of battery life, is fast and responsive. Like I said, I've used all of the roms here but I don't want to go through the hassle of setting everything up for each rom and testing for multiple days to make a choice. Personal choices are welcome but please say why you like it.
On a side note, does anyone know why updates have pretty much stopped for all the roms our phone can use?
Thank you!

Try Weapon 3. I have been using it for a few weeks without any problems. Better battery life is accomplished with turning off GPS, Bluetooth and data when you're not using them. As well, don't run unnecessary apps and don't overclock.

Was actually in the process of downloading weapon. I can't shut data off since I need constant access to my email but otherwise I already do the other things. I've only been able to get about 10 max on my phone regardless of the rom, might have a bad battery.

I used GiggleBread with Trinity kernel and got over 25 hours as a max. On average I'd be around 16-18 hours with that combo. Try that. And this is with moderate use.

if it's jd, then imho, it is really a waste of money.
catyrom is already efficient with battery life.
you're better of in dimming display, turn off wifi or data if you're not using it.

Battery draining

Alright so I thought my battery was draining due to the backlight (it would show 40%-60% use), now it's it's doing it from the Android OS. All this happens even when I'm not using the phone and it's never done the Android OS thing before. Any suggestions or ideas on why it's doing it would be greatly appreciated

What ROM & kernel are you using? Also, someone mentioned the BetterBatteryStats app can show you what, exactly, is using the battery. It's $2.89 in Google Play.

Yeah, a few people are seeing the battery drain since installing Bryan's latest kernel. I have that issue, too. Bryan said in his kernel thread that it's beta & right now he's working on stability more so than anything else. I like this kernel as my phone had the random reboot issue. I'm ok with the battery drain trade-off for now. You could fall back to a previous version of the kernel & the battery issue should stop.

Try going back to rc3 kernel as it does have bln working and if I read correctly doesn't have the fix that is causing the drain

Battery dying fast

Im on Fb version of VB and its amazing. Only problem dies so fast, 6hrs and a full charge is gone. Any suggestions on how to fun this??
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
It's because it utilizes Bryan's SMS KJ6 RC3 kernel. It's a known "issue" with that kernel. A couple of previous versions of that kernel had a random reboot issue. Unfortunately the "fix" (doesn't really fix the crux of the issue per Bryan but rather prevents the issue from occurring) causes the battery drain.
Iirc, it's not rc 3 that drains the battery.. That was 0.2.0 - rc3 still has potential reboots.

Unless you use BLN, I'd say going back to icbinb is probably a good idea for stability and great battery life.
It sounds more like something else is going on. I'm on FB's build also, w/ the same modem and kernel but my battery lasts just fine. So it isn't the rom or the kernel.

Im on scv6....the phone and contacts mod didnt seem to work but i dug deeper and found this radio mod and its a noticeable difference indeed!
Sent from my MB865 using XDA App
Checking it out now...I haven't noticed much of a difference. Hardly any of the other settings in the first menu of Spare Parts on SCv6 work, the regular Spare parts stuff works as normal. I've been playing around with it since installing SCv6, I got excited with all of the options in there but the excitement died when I could get almost nothing to work.
This sounds cool, but surely there is a catch if it randomly improves speeds so dramatically, right? Does it shorten the lifespan of your phone or something (lol)? And what exactly does it modify to achieve this speed boost?
My downloads are faster, net based apps like xda, engadget and sac bee load up faster, even gmail loads and syncs faster. This is how it should be!

I tried it......seems to speed up both wifi and 4g connections. Not sure on battery life tho.....only did it yesterday. Thanks for the heads up.

Or is this something that is a mod on the ROM you're using?

Took the .apk and incorporated into another. Hit 10520kbps without Hotweiss' Radio mod, and after enabling the mod I hit 106960kbps on data speed test. So far, so good... I'll keep playing with it, but seems to be a winner as far as I can tell!
I've noticed some minor improvement, but I seem to have a less reliable connection.
