Tegrak Overclock Ultimate Tweaks? - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

Ok I was looking through the options in Tegrak and I was wondering if the tweaks work with the SGS4G and if they do witch one should I pick? Noop, Anticipatory, Deadline, Cfq, or Bfq? I'm running krylons Black Ice stable 2 w/ bali 3.1.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App

deadline seems to be the best for me

actually if u are running ext 4 on all 3 parttions cfq or noop. cfq is a little better honestly

lagfix

I can't recall with all of the posts lately, but is there a voodoo lagfix for our beloved sgs4g? is there something stopping it from being applied? My coworker just got a charge and has a custom rom and kernel with lagfix already...
Just wondering if i missed something.
Nope, not ported over yet. Do you need it that bad? My phone is flying with the bali kernel coupled with the fugu mod, and if i wanted to OC it to 1.3-5.
Lagfix would be sick

I'm sort of experiencing lag as well, but how are you overclocking?
Tegrak wouldn't let me do it, nor would SetCPU. It wouldn't go over 1GHZ.
~little off topic, sorry
u have to have one of the bali kernels installed and then u can use tegrak. Set cpu will not work. I have also applied the fugu fix and have bali 1.4 and Tegrak has me oc'd at 1.3!

I already have the Bali kernel, and it looks like Tegrak all of the sudden works...
hmpf.
fugu fix (CWM Flashable 0.1) doesn't seem to have helped that much, maybe a tiny bit.

should i follow the steps inside that post to overclock? or are there new steps...
sorry about the off-topic discussion again, this is my last post, i promise
Yeah setcpu does work once you've changed the frequencies in tegrak first.
I used tegrak on stock kernel overclocked to 1.4 and was also using set cpu before I flashed bali. All is still working w/ bali even set cpu.

Those using Tegrak, once you changed the settings, did your phone started to vibrate nonstop??? I had to pull out the battery. Did the fugu tweaks, and have latest bali kernel. Is it supposed to vibrate like that?? Thanks for the help

mine did not, i get a vibrate at loading module then when i set the speed i get another vibrate. thats it. what are you trying to OC your phone at?
Mine did the constant vibrate once, although I don't recall what I was doing prior. Holding down the power button forced a reboot. Never happened again.
Also you will need to raise your voltages if you are going to go higher than 1.3 with pro.

[Kernel-OC/UV] Infusion-GB Now with 2 Cores! Choose your Bake today!

I'm back with Gingerbread Kernel goodness for all.
As always, I am not responsible for Borking for phone if you do. It's your brick, you made it.
Note: Only works with SAMSUNG roms, not AOSP based roms. In addition, if moving from 1.1 to core-A/B please remove boot settings in Voltage Control before flashing.
Includes:
Voodoo Sound 10
Voodoo Lagfix
Insecure boot (ro.secure=0)
cfq scheduler
Planned:
bfq and more schedulers
TinyRCU
Possible GPU-OC
and more to be determined... Tell me what you want!
Use CWM or Kernel Flasher by Neldar to flash your kernel, and as always if you need to UV, use Voltage Control from the Android Market, brought to you by Xan.
Update with GB-1.1
Interactivex governor
Tweaks with Ondemand
1400 and 1000 frequencies enabled.
Bootanimation support. (non-Hellraiser roms, rename to sanim.zip instead of bootanimation.zip)
Update with GB-CoreA/B
New Frequencies 16-12-8-4-2-1 (A) and 14-10-8-4-2-1 (B)
InteractiveX Gov Tweaks (now a load based gov, max when over a certain load, lower when under, sorta like Smartass for CPU load)
Implemented modified Entropy initramfs tweaks.
GB-CoreA/B2
FFC Fixed.
Updated for AT&T GB Leaks (J series)
For a workaround to wired and wireless tethering, use wired and wireless tethering workarounds for the time being, both have been working for me, and make sure with the wireless that you set it as an SGS/Galaxy S in the settings. This will work for the Hellraiser rom-patch. Make sure you choose the top one in both download areas linked above.
Thanks as always to everyone in the past who have worked on an SGS kernel/phone (Netarchy, Hardcore, Unhelpful ect)
Also to my fellow devs here in the Infuse forums and for their patience with my constant questions in the IRC channel..... (Entropy512, LinuxBozo ect...)

Features
Max CPU is 1400

Scheduler bfq, cfq, deadline, noop
Governor minmax, intereactive, conservative, ondemand, userspace, powersave, smartass, smartassV2, performance
If you haven't tried Eugene's, give it a whirl

Eugene's kernel for me. It seems to be the best kernel if you just want to install it and forget about it. It's fast without OC, gets good battery, and doesn't require a reboot every 12-18 hours to stay snappy like most the ICS kernels I've tried.

I have most of the options grey out and some of it are as stated on my first post.
I probably flash my kernel wrongly and lost those options.
Just did and re-flash and it works now.
Some members have compared battery life between matrix and icup kernels? It is very important to me because I travel a lot...
Among the ICS kernels, I find netarchy's to be the most stable and reliable. It's the only ICS kernel I can undervolt by 50mV and not encounter sleeps of death or glitchy behavior.
Tried eugene's for about 5mins and went back to using matrix v14.
Currently with BM MIUI and Matrix v14

Battery Life, yes it may be terrible as its only beta version. Its not because of OC. Its because i have not included all the tweaks needed for battery life. Still its in testing stage. Reason for including OC and having only 1.2 ghz is to test whether its preventing the game lag. Generally when i OC with limits and intermediate ranges as 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3, mostly the mobile clock in 1.1 ghz and very rarely going to 1.2 ghz. So i skipped 1.1 and included only 1.2 ghz.. Just a testing.

Let's try again : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1950052 - it's a "fixed" kernel by codeworkx for the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, my other device, which also had serious lags and freezes in ICS as our Galaxy R. Hope there is magic you can add from that to your kernel.
Ok now..included intermediate freq of 1100 and then the BFQ scheduler as suggested by Adam. Getting few compiler errors for BFQ. Will check it tomorrow.
And finally setup the environment for AOSP build. As Ubuntu 12.04 was not supporting all the branches to do AOSP build (though its gud for kernels), now setup a diff environment using 10.04. Will Start init/sync tomorrow.
