[Q] Bluetooth headset paired but can't connect - HTC Sensation

Hi all!
loving my sensation so far except that there is one problem:
I tried to connect to my blue tooth headset (Jabra and Plantech), encountered 1 issue. they can be successfully paired but can't be connected! no matter what i do to the headsets (pressing buttons), it just wont connect!
anybody has any idea?
thx

Is it possible that the headset might be connecting to another bluetooth device? (Like your old phone?)
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App

no...they are brand new...i had also unpaired, reboot the phone, powered off and on the headset as well to no avail...
any idea?

Have you tried making a phone call? Mine does not actually connect until i make a call.

Unpair the bluetooth on the phone and turn bluetooth off. On the phone turn bluetooth on and search for device, now turn bluetooth on and resync.

Problem Htc Touch Cruise and Bluetooth Headset

Hi and sorry for my bad english.
I have a problem with my Htc Touch Cruise and my bluetooth headset Motorola H700.
The headset worked fine with my ex P3600 but with TC have this problem:
when i receive a call, the headset responding correctly but after few seconds the audio disappears despite the bluetooth connection is ok!
If i shut off my headset the call continues regularly on TC, but if i re turn on the headset work correctly for few second and after stop.
The only solution is soft reset or turn off the bluetooth connection with commmanager and restart.
Someone have same problem?
Thanks to all!

No problem with my Samsung WEP200 BT Headset. In my case it work much better than with my old P3600 where people always complain about bad sound when I was in BT.
To be sure that your problem isn't linked to the Polaris, you should test with another headset.
Good luck !

I had similar problems with another HTC phone, same Motorola H700. Seems that the H700 might be the problem. I also use a Jabra without problems.
Sony Ericsson bluetooth headsets work also just fine.

I have the same problem and sometimes I re-apply pairing between the headset and my polaris
same problem with Motorola H700. and olso motorola HS 810
They seem not to be compatible
I have reconnect my old carkit bluetooth Parrot CK3000 Evolution and with my HTC Touch Cruise work very fine!
With my old P3600, the parrot ck3000 evolution don't work fine but have problem with audio and connection, therefore i had unplugged and i had buy the headset Motorlola H700 thed worked well with P3600...
Same problem with Jabra headset
I have also exactly the same problem with a Jabra headset.
I found that the problem only occur when bluetooth is first activated on HTC and then activated on the headset. if I do it in the other way it works fine.
that's also the reason why it works after a soft rest of the HCT or disconnection reconnection of bluetooth on HTC.
Does it only mean that the headset is not compatible or is this a problem on the HTC.
Vincent
I don't know the bluetooth 2.0 + edr is compatible with motorola headset
perhaps a bluetooth incompatibility
i read on it http://direct.motorola.com/ENS/HKernel/H700_Headset_detail.asp
this : # Bluetooth Class 2 for wireless connection of to 10 meters
(30 feet)
# Compatible with Bluetooth 1.2- or 1.1-enabled mobile
phones, PDAs, PCs, and more that support headset and
hands-free profiles
I had the same problem with the H700. It connected fine the first day, and I used it for about 15 minutes. The next day, it wouldn't stay connected at all. Tried to re-pair, etc..no luck. My Jabra BT-125 works great, as does my LG HBM-730.
HTC patch for bluetooth
I saw on HTC (in the e-club section) that there is a patch for Touch (is it touch only or touch cruis also? I don't know) regarding "bluetooth connection problem".
Unfortunately I cannot download it.
If someone can do it, I'm interested.
Vincent
First of all sorry for my bad english!!
What about the patch for HTC TyTN II? this one seems to be like htc cruise, both of them have the same specifications, may be this patch work on HTC touch cruise
Where I can found the patch ?? I want to try it on my cruise. If don't work I will restore all with a backup file...
you can found it on HTC web in the e-club section. If the patch works properly write it in the forum please!

Same specifications but different motherboard. Don't try it.
Ok......... thank you, I'll wait for another solution
After more and more test, I have found that the problem of the motorola Headset HS850 (and I think H700 etc. etc.) is the boom switch.
If you pair the headset to the Cruise and use it, it works fine (not stop after 3-4 seconds). Works great also bluetooth audio program:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-bluetooth-audio-v1-0.html
for redirect all audio to the headset.
But... if you switch off the headset with boom close, next time it will not work more than 3 seconds
So, the problem on this motorola is the automatic connection when open the boom.
Sony Ericsson HCB-700
Hi. I seem to be having similar problems. I had 3 phones linked to my HCB 700, and all worked fine. Very occasionally, I would have found that one wouldn't pair up when the ignition was switched on, but with my old Orbit 1, that may have happened once a week. I got a new Orbit 2, and was able to pair it easily. Now, it never fails to start paired, but frequently drops the BT connection. Usually a simple button press links it again, but it will rarely stay linked for more than 30 minutes, and could drop the connection 3 or 4 times in 10minutes. Then it may work for 30 minutes. I tried a reset to default settings, and re -paired the two again, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. This can happen whether I have used the phone or the handsfree or not.. I'm thinking of getting a Parrot kit now instead - any ideas? Thanks in advance..

BT Headset disconnects

Hi all!
Here is my problem (tried with several other headsets as well):
When the headset is connected to the phone and you take it from larger distance than it's disconnects of course. BUT when you take it back it doesn't want to reconnect automatically. It's really annoying thing, because i'm using a stereo headset to listen music, and i can't bring it with me everytime when i have to move from my desk. I've had some other HTC before but never experienced this untill now on Raphael.
Any idea how to force TP to try to reconnect as the other devices do?

is this a new BT headset you're using now? I believe some bt headsets simply don't (re)establish connection by themselves
There is a new Bluetooth stack in the Raphael compared to older HTC devices, so this could be an issue with it. Have you tried pressing your headset's play/pause button when you come back in range?

Motorola H3 headset: if i press the call button that the connection is reestablish
IQUA BHS-701-S: i have to turn it off than on to make the headset recconnect
btw: i've also noticed, if no device connected on BT, than raphael simple turns off the BT after a while
Mine has never turned BT off on its own. There must be an option for it, perhaps in power saving.

[Q] Bluetooth Issues

Does anyone have problems connecting their Desire S to Bluetooth devices?
My phone seems to pair to my Bluetooth hands free kit but no connection actually happens. The same situation for another Bluetooth kit i have and also my laptop!
I just upgraded from a normal Desire and it worked perfectly with all the devices.
I tried changing the radio and also upgraded the Rom from 1.28.401.1_Radio_20.28b.30.080 5U_38.03.02.11
to
1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085 AU_3805.06.02.03
I have searched for solutions but have not found any on XDA
Might be that your bluetooth device is in a black list need to check, can yo utell what bluetooth device you have exactly?

My main Bluetooth device is a Merlin Car Mirror Kit V2.
When connected and properly paired it should 'beep' twice, but now it just connects and the phone says its paired. When you make a call it shows it is dialling but no sound comes through both ways.

Did you put the bluetooth in pairing mode? Guessing you did but just making sure. That process is overlooked so many times.
Hi
I don't think this so..as the same Bluetooth works with another NOKIA set !

Hi Pirateghost
I'm trying to Pair my 'Bluetooth Headset (Plantronics Explorer 210)' with the HTC Inspire ..This device is not even detected by HTC when I do the 'scan for devices' from the Phone...but,I see the Bluetooth symbol dispalyed onteh phone...
Also this Bluetooth Headset is properly 'pairing' with my another Nokia Phone...
Further my HTC also 'pairs' properly with my Laptop'...
But the HTC doesn't detect the 'Bluetooth Planatronics' Headset!
it's Plantronics Explorer 210 Bluetooth Headset
....But this headset pairs properly with my 'Old Nokia phone'..but refuses to pair with the new HTC Inspire
But,the HTC Inspire pairs properly with my 'Laptop computer'...I'm reallyconfused..what's wrong...Appreciate your thoughts on this
I asked you earlier if you put the bluetooth in pairing mode before trying to pair with it? Not the same thing as pairing your phone to a laptop or using it with a phone that it is already paired to. First time you turn on bluetooth it goes in auto pairing till it is paired with a device. After it is paired with a device you must do something special to get it paired again with a new device. Again I only bring this point back up because this sounds like the only reason your phone cannot see the bluetooth.
How to Pair Your Headset if it Has Been Previously Paired
With Another Device
1 Turn the headset off.
Press and hold the call control button until the indicator turns red
and then turns off.
2 Turn the headset on.
Press and hold the call control button until the indicator light
continues to flash red and blue. The headset is now in pairing mode.
3 Use the commands on your phone to locate your headset.
For most phones, select Settings/Tools > Connections > Bluetooth
> Search > 2XXPlantronics. See your phone’s user guide for more
information.
4 When prompted for the passkey, enter 0000.
Pairing is successful when the indicator on your headset flashes
blue. Your headset is now connected and ready to use.

Thanks Agoattamer ---I totally overlooked it--Perhaps did not have the old Planatronics manual----and after getting into 'pairing mode'--everything is perfect..

Hi Pirateghost
I think,I had been too 'stupid' to overlook this 'pairing step'....and now the HTC is able to connect---Thanks a lot for your time......
Appreciate your help too...for giving such a good 'ROM'

Bluetooth Not Reconnecting!!

Hey there, just wondering if anyone has a solution to a bluetooth auto connect issue. My problem is that no matter what bluetooth device I connect my phone to, it will work fine until I turn bluetooth off on the phone. When I turn bluetooth back on it will try to reconnect, but just hangs there.
For example, I pair my phone to my car, listen to music no problem, then when I get home I turn bluetooth off to save battery. Then if I get back into my car later and switch bluetooth on, it refuses to auto connect, even though the car bluetooth is still listed as a paired device on the phone. This also happens with my bluetooth headphones! It won't even connect if I manually try in the bluetooth settings page, I have to manually unpair and repair again and the process starts all over again.
I'm using DoomLords Stock 4.3 on an XperiaT. Anybody got any ideas??
