I was wondering if there is a sprint tv apk for the nexus S... not the s 4g.. just the nexus S.. and if it works?? I've done some searching and seen that the evo apk works but it didn't clarify if it was for the S or S4g and does no good anyway because the links are dead so I cant test.
If anyone has any answers or links or etc that would be awesome. thanks
Only one way to tell... try it out.
What I would do is go to the epic forum, download a stock rom, grab the apk from /system/app and put it on your sd card. Try to install (it should) and see if it works.
i need it too, if somebody knows how to install it let me know
thanks
Just tried and it works on ns4g. I downloaded the removed apk's zip from the Evo Fresh ROM site, extracted in Root Explorer, and installed directly from there.

It won't work on the Nexus S because the sprint TV app needs a sprint network to function. It actually will not let you run it on wifi and boots you off.
It will work on Nexus S 4G since it runs on sprint network.

I have put together a modified version of the skype apk from the market that works over 3G anywhere. Be sure to uninstall the Market app first!
Download Here!
It works awesome! Great job. Nexus one/ CM6
Doesn't work for me, just like the other one here.

The original app doesnt work for Galaxy S as of now and the difference between original and this seems to be that this one works over 3g while the original works over wifi only.
So when the original doesnt work for Galaxy how do you expect the modded one to be working for it when the OP hasnt mentioned anything about it?
Works perfectly...even on EDGE
THANKS!!!
Despite my suspicisions, seems (test call went through ok) to be working on my EVO over 3G.
Thanks
When I try to launch it, it immediately force closes. Does it require root? Running stock on my G2.

seemed like it worked, however every time it connects, it kicks me off of data. and i have to turn on airplane mode, and back off to restart all wireless.
and even then it doesnt actually work.....
Just FCs on start on my rooted G2. Market version works over wifi fine.

It works good on my htc hero 2.1 ROM thanks!
G1 Cyanogen 5
Works pretty well on a g1 with cyanogen 5. I have a flaky 3g connection so calls are bad, but woo 3g
Works perfectly fine on Evo4g, this type of thing is what 4g is perfect for.
Works like a charm. Good job!
AT&T N1 CM6
MyTouch3g Slide
Also works on the mytouch slide. (nonrooted)

How did you modify it, is there a way to decompile the program? I have a SGS and I'd love to get it working ..
am i missing something here? I installed skype this week from the market place and i just made a call to the sound test with only an edge signal, it only distorded slightly a couple of times but perfectly usable.
can't everyone do this?
or does the sound test work over anything?
I notice my 4g is worse than 3g speeds after using or just installing and not using wireless or USB teathering. Also rooted phone with 1 click method and now clockwork doesn't even show, just regular recovery shows. Have Sprint, stock rom, since clockwork doesn't show, don't know if I'm still rooted . Any ideas?

If there isn't a hack or tweak for signal issues soon, prolly use the D720 rom posted in this section for restoring to stock. Not looking for awesome speeds, only what my phone should be doing in the first place.

I found the Sprint TV apk that works on the nexus but was wondering will I get charged by Sprint for using it since it isn't supported? Or does it not check the phone model but only if you are on the Sprint network?
Thanks for any information in advance.

I've never had issues with the old version one from my hero cdma days. Which one are you using?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
By the way I think the one I have is v 1.0.4.32-113310 from the missing app zip on fresh's (hero cdma) website.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
I use one pulled from epic 4g rom. It works better for our resolution. Never had a problem.
The version I have is 1.0.4.32 but I don't know from what phone it I is would it matter what phone? I can post it here if you like.
Would you guys mind posting the ones you use on yours? How do you know which are the premium channels?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
I found version 4.3.4.4-152355 here. Work over WiFi.
I installed the one that was posted but none are free is that the case for you? I think on the one I had it had some more free channels or at least that I thought were free.

I too receive subscription error when loading anything on the recently posted one.

I would love detailed information about how you got this to work without errors.
Note that I said "work" rather than "run". This installs without a problem and the program will run without apparent problems. The problems appear when one tries to get it to work. That is, to view content using it. This results in a "subscription unavailable" error, even when trying to view content listed as "free" (of which there is practically none available).
Were you actually able to use this version on your Nexus S to view anything, or were you just able to get it to run?
It no longer shows up on the market, and won't let me download here either, I LOVE THIS APP!!!:banghead:

works on my inspire, just tested it. Did you change your screen DPI? If so that would be why you can't download many apps. There is a procedure to get around that, i dont have the link offhand though.

It doesn't work well anyway. I can download it to mine, but the search functions were so terrible it was better to use the browser. I deleted it.
Is it possible to use a third party app like the one that my friend used on his sprint ego 4g called tether in other to tether with with his tablet?
Is there an option like this that I can use in order to bypass my T-Mobile hold on my nuts.
Cause I'm paying $120 already I don't wanna pay $10 more bucks for 5gigsin order to tether. I think I'm already paying enough.
Can anyone help me?
Is there a way to circumvent this?
Or I'm a doomed to keep paying this bastards for more internet?

I know Bruces CM10 ROM has tethering built in and it works fine.
The answer is yes. Try Wi-Fi tether from the market. There is a way to set the settings. If you get the app and it's not working, or your having trouble with the settings, P.M. me for the settings. I did have it working well with certain settings. I've found this app works in about 3out of 4 roms. Give it a try. It's simply called Wi-Fi tether. Best wishes
