I found the Sprint TV apk that works on the nexus but was wondering will I get charged by Sprint for using it since it isn't supported? Or does it not check the phone model but only if you are on the Sprint network?
Thanks for any information in advance.

I've never had issues with the old version one from my hero cdma days. Which one are you using?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
By the way I think the one I have is v 1.0.4.32-113310 from the missing app zip on fresh's (hero cdma) website.

I use one pulled from epic 4g rom. It works better for our resolution. Never had a problem.
The version I have is 1.0.4.32 but I don't know from what phone it I is would it matter what phone? I can post it here if you like.
Would you guys mind posting the ones you use on yours? How do you know which are the premium channels?

I found version 4.3.4.4-152355 here. Work over WiFi.
I installed the one that was posted but none are free is that the case for you? I think on the one I had it had some more free channels or at least that I thought were free.

I'm getting a subscription error on all versions any work around? Build.prop perhaps?

I too receive subscription error when loading anything on the recently posted one.

Here is the one that looks to work on mine without the subscription errors. http://db.tt/r2XGx5Tt

I would love detailed information about how you got this to work without errors.
Note that I said "work" rather than "run". This installs without a problem and the program will run without apparent problems. The problems appear when one tries to get it to work. That is, to view content using it. This results in a "subscription unavailable" error, even when trying to view content listed as "free" (of which there is practically none available).
Were you actually able to use this version on your Nexus S to view anything, or were you just able to get it to run?

Ok I have simple mobile and using my inspire as I speak now I gotta ask...is there any way possible AT ALL I can get 3g speeds or even close. Weather I got to edit the build.prop file or not. I want somewhat decent speeds. Thanks in advance.

In short, the answer is no. Tmobile and Simplemobile require different hardware for 3g than at&t does. Edge is the best you will achieve with the Inspire on Tmobile or Simple.

I was wondering if there is a sprint tv apk for the nexus S... not the s 4g.. just the nexus S.. and if it works?? I've done some searching and seen that the evo apk works but it didn't clarify if it was for the S or S4g and does no good anyway because the links are dead so I cant test.
If anyone has any answers or links or etc that would be awesome. thanks
Only one way to tell... try it out.
What I would do is go to the epic forum, download a stock rom, grab the apk from /system/app and put it on your sd card. Try to install (it should) and see if it works.
i need it too, if somebody knows how to install it let me know
thanks
Just tried and it works on ns4g. I downloaded the removed apk's zip from the Evo Fresh ROM site, extracted in Root Explorer, and installed directly from there.

It won't work on the Nexus S because the sprint TV app needs a sprint network to function. It actually will not let you run it on wifi and boots you off.
It will work on Nexus S 4G since it runs on sprint network.

Makes sense...
Can anyone help out? I can't stream Sirius/XM on the data plan; only via WiFi. I seem to recall that I used to be able to do it, and I see that Sprint had a problem like this, but I'm not sure that their fix will work on Verizon, because it requires dialing codes into the phone, and I don't believe the different carriers work the same way. Anyone know anything about this?
I'd clear data and cache and uninstall and re-install Sirius. I stream over 4g every day.
Works fine for me on 3G.

probably because google or craigslist pulled the app down. has nothing to do with the inspire, might want to contact the devs for that. google is your friend.
It shows on Google play website, just says unavailable for inspire and att....

works on my inspire, just tested it. Did you change your screen DPI? If so that would be why you can't download many apps. There is a procedure to get around that, i dont have the link offhand though.

It doesn't work well anyway. I can download it to mine, but the search functions were so terrible it was better to use the browser. I deleted it.
Any one know how can I fix this I keep getting these random text messages

Haha I thought I was the only one! I can go days at a time with none and then one day I get 3-5. Are you on sprint as well?
Yeah I forgot to add I'm on sprint NS 4g stock rooted with stock kernel.

I recall someone posting that these are a result of the NS4G mishandling emergency alert notifications through that system the government partnered with US carriers to implement. Unfortunately, I have a GSM NS, so I didn't pay much attention to whether there was a fix.

Been getting similar messages maybe a couple a day, no number shows up. Thursday night I got 76 of these. I'm on Sprint.

It's just an error with Sprint's network, normally you wouldn't even see them but they show up on custom ROMs.
everything I've seen about these go back to it being an issue with the emergency broadcast system, it something to that effect. they are not rom related, & I've seen reports of them on several different phones, not just the ns4g.
