Continous boot loop HELP - Defy Android Development

I tried searching for the answer to my problem, But I couldn't find anyone with the same problem.
My DEFY is rooted Cyanogen 7 , I went into settings and did a factory reset
now all it will do is a constant loop, I already tried booting into recovery I wiped the cache and did a restore boot its still looping.
any ideas?
I have RSD installed but it doesn't detect the DEFY
Thanks

remove the battery, wait for 1 minute
insert the battery.
press power on + vol up for 6 sec....release it your phone will be in bootloader...now open rsd lite 4.9 it will detect your phone and FULL flash the stock sbf file for your region on 2.2.2

so for me I would need the Tmobile USA version?

yes it will do....even other new versions on 2.2.2 like on french, DACH...etc will also work ....you just need to select your baseband frequency if you are on other regions sbf file..

How do I select the baseband frequency?
The problem I'm having now is I ran RSD with a SBF and now the phone is stuck on Bootloader it says "Cannot program" "Code corrupt" and even RSD is not recognizing it now, I'm worried I might have bricked it.

download latest RSD version.(i used 5.3.1)..boot into bootloader and flash it with a stock sbf(read comments before downloading)..everything should be fine..but still if u r stuck at M logo then remove the battery and reinsert it..everything should be fine..

having the same problem.. but it started when i turned on my 3g network.. now flashing back to a stable rom...

I got it working, I found out my battery was too low, So I had to do the mcgyver trick (which works) anyway after a hour of flashing, I got it back up and running.
Only issue now is I'm getting an error message telling me that the battery is invalid.

Possibly you might had damaged your battery while doing the Mcgyver trick. Since the voltage/current doesn't really regulated into a proper rating before injecting into the battery.

[Q] Milestone xt 720 stuck on M logo

Hi i have a question maybe someone can help?
I'm Having problems with my Xt720 stuck at M logo at boot up. I tried flashing it back to Stock CBW rom following reverendkjr's instructions to the T. after i allow Rsd to go through the Processes, and it says its rebooting phone i give it time to adjust, but still stays on M logo. Rsd is telling me to Please manually power up this phone. I don't know what else to try? I cant do a hard reset either.. Can someone help Please
Have you tried to take out your SD card and reboot the phone again?
I was hit with same issue last time due to a bad SD card.
Alternatively you can try to reflash without a SD card.
yes, i've tried both ways, but no luck either way?
What did you do to get booyloop

exactly the same thing happened to me...
I flashed froyo, was playing a few hours, and after firing flash phone was frozen and then I got bootloop
I was flashing phone with many different sbf's and nothing helped except official moto service center...
Use RSD lite above 4.9 Version, Download a sbf file for xt-720,go to boot loader and run the sbf file from Rsd lite. Your phone should start working.
if you are able to reach openrecovery, or some other way to access the phone internals,You may turn adb debugging during boot.
So if you have somewhat access to the phone to turn on ad debuging you have to
kill the usbd process ( pkill usbd if busybox is new enough)
then
Code:
echo "msc_adb" > /dev/usb_device_mode
You have to "integrate" that in your startup scripts.
Then issue "adb logcat" . The adb will wait for the phone and will start logging as soon as possible . When that happens, we will be able to adb shell to the phone, even if the display show just some static logo...
If you are not able to access the phone internals, other possibility exists, but requires to be able to fastboot the phone. Then custom initramfs can be prepared, which will include the above early adb enabling .
enabling adb taked from here:

have in mind of this issues (not a big deal, at least for me)

[Q] Help Help Phone keeps getting in clockwork recovery mode

HI ALL,
i have unrooted my phone and then i,ve updated my phone but i forgot to remove clockworkmodrecovery now when i reboot my phone it keeps getting in recovery mode
Is there anyone who can help me?
I have the exact same problem!
I've tried restoring a backup, rebooting the phone, turning it off, install update from sdcard, formatting cache...
None to any avail. Please help!
I've tried about every option now, I've even tried downloading a ROM and flashing it to the phone. It still boots into Clockworkmod.
Can I throw my phone in the trash now?
Edit:
I don't have windows XP, so nope to unbricking your O3D guide.
Sdcard
I can only put the rom at my external sdcard i don know how to put someting in the internal flash
I've now tried flashing KingDroid.
It's still in the bootloop.
Why does it seem like no one even cares about this thread?

People care but if they don't have an answer for you it's not much they can do, tried pulling the battery I guess and using CWM to reset battery data and reseting to factory defaults etc?
People arent answering because there is already a guide on the forum explaining exactly how to fix this.

I have tried about every single option in the CWM menus, and I've tried pulling the battery at random times.
None of them worked.
I'm now going to remove Arch Linux from my PC to make room for windows XP. Sorry for my previous outrage.
Next time remove CWM from your phone before updating...
I just installed windows XP and followed the guide to the letter. I am now stuck with the firmware update screen. How do I get rid of this?
Flash rom
I,ve managed to flash the rom with the original v10D but itÅ› still booting in clockwork recovery mode pfffff
These phones really are hard to unbrick.
Tell me please how to exit Rekaveri. Reloading and pulling the battery does not helps, it means everything? brick?

If you're stuck at the "updating firmware" screen like me, you're simply ****ed.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1197108
use LG vip service.
I just called them, they said they'd "assess" my situation and that they'd call me back to tell me whether they'll replace it...
restore
Hi,
I have managed to restore a backup image but he is still booting in clockwork recovery what am i forgetting ????
Sincerely Snellie1972
Recover
I have recovered the phone with clockwork recovery with stock file
Optimus 3D 10D pre-rooted CWM restore but still it goes in too clockwork recovery at boot
What am i doing wrong ????
Thanks in advance
snellie1972
Unfortunately I was also able to get passed the clockwork screen but the phone is stuck on the update just like anybody else. I contacted the store where I bought it from and they sent me a prepaid box already to send it to them for repair/replacement.
As everyone says, at the moment it's not possible to recover from that state, sorry snellie.
If you still get the clockwork, then just follow these instructions but even so, you wont get passed the software update screen.
Flash
I have managed to flash using first de KDZ tool from LG en after that i have used te LGMOBILE update tool and just put in my imei and serial and it was downloading and restoring my phone so far so good but when it was Finished without any error it is still haging on update software ...
I don't understand why it is not going any further
Greetz
snellie1972
It's almost as if this firmware update screen is fake and an indicator for LG to see you ****ed your phone up.
Is there any known hacker even working on this?

Anyone have a solution for me?

Maybe i'm posting in the wrong section but here's the thing.
Okay so I tried searching everywhere for a solution and I didn't find anything.
So this is what happened, I was on ICS leak 4.0.4 ICS.672.1.13.en.03 then I tried to Fxz to AT&T 2.3.5 InlineFlashing_edison_5.5.175.16_cfc_p3_APBP_CID28 5.zip and it got stuck at 5/20 saying "Rebooting bootloader" the screen stayed black for a long time, so I clicked close and this is where all this happened. My phone doesn't turn on, not even Fastboot, when I plug it into the charger it doesn't do anything, but when I plug it into my laptop without battery the white led turns on but still it doesn't do anything, the laptop doesn't detect anything and when I press the buttons it doesn't react nor do anything. I don't know anymore what to do, I bought this overseas so I have no warranty and it's not an AT&T phone. If anyone went through this, I really don't know what to do.. I know it's not softbrick as I can see it. I'll be very thankful if there is a solution, but my hopes are really down..
I know I read all the guides, it said "Don't pull battery or unplug. So I didn't unplug or remove battery, I just clicked close. I really didn't know this could happend. Didn't see it in any thread or post that you can't Fxz from 4.0.4 to AT&T 2.3.5

what phone model /where did you get that zipped rom from/ do you have a stock rom ?
If you start phone and screen is black ( no bootloader image) then it's possible to be really bricked

I got an Atrix 2 and I was on ICS leak 4.0.4, I tried to Fxz to this InlineFlashing_edison_5.5.175.16_cfc_p3_APBP_CID285.zip which I found at this site http://sbf.droid-developers.org/edison/list.php. I have locked bootloader. Btw it got stuck at 5/21 "rebooting bootloader" with a black screen after that nothing worked for me, before I tried it I had 90% of battery.

never flash a rom without instructions if you are not an experienced user you have to use RSD Lite to get back to working conditions

So i had my motorola for a year, the problem happened couple of time but not this worse. So then i go in the loop. I have only rooted the phone, and i have done nothing else. When i try to go to the boot menu, the phone says that the battery is too low to program anything , but my phone has about 90% of the battery. I love this phone it work fine but now it has this problem, Any tips or solution u guys can tell me?

Download the following first:
1) RSD LITE 4.9
2) MotoHelper
3) Stock ROM of your choice from this thread
After you have downloaded the above, Install MotoHelper followed by RSD Lite. Remove the battery in the phone and re-insert. Press the Power Button+Volume Up Button+ Camera Button all at once. This should take you to Bootloader mode. Connect your phone to your system using a USB cable. Now run RSD Lite in the system. Browse and find the Stock ROM (.sbf) and load it using the RSD Lite. Start flashing. This should take you to back to the Stock settings. Remember this process could take a minimum of 15 mins, please be patient .If any doubts please revert back.

A51 stuck in TWRP bootloop

Today, I flashed the latest firmware onto my phone, it had a few boot issues but I managed to finish.
Then I noticed that (I KNOW I AM DUMB) forgot to backup the data in my internal storage as well...
Now I tried flashing TWRP because I noticed the internal storage shows up as ~4GB, which is about as much as I had free space left before flashing.
Problem: my phone is now stuck in a TWRP splash screen bootloop and doesn't want to reboot anywhere else.
I used the exact same TWRP ROM I had previously used on Android 11 and it worked perfectly fine (ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-sm-a515f-one-ui-3-0-dub1-android-11.4231543/)
Now I can't get out of TWRP anymore (not even into download mode or anything) and all my hope is pretty much lost.
Do I need to wait for the battery to fully drain? Would it still be possible to recover the data from the internal storage (since it wasn't encrypted and appears to still be there?)
Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help!
For the record; I got it out. Still pretty stuck fixing the OS, I gave up on the data since it wasnt too important anyways

Drain the battery than go to download mode with pc. Than flash it with firmware. You can find firmware on galaxyfirmware.com

The battery, let it drain or force restart to download mode and flash the whole firmware.

Yes, I let the battery fully drain - my trick to get into Download Mode was to hold Power + Volume Up once the battery drained and then connecting the charging cable connected to a computer while holding down the buttons
Then flash stock FW
