My HTC touch pro :: pick it up tomorrow yay

As the title says, im all excited , HTC touch pro, original unlocked, brand new. Tmobile contract £35 a month 700 mins, unlimited texts and 1gb a month internet.
Canni wait !

Got already an 8 GB sdHC card.....
AND offcourse I've read allll about the raphael on this forum...

Im buying an 8GB SDHC card tomorrow, have IGO8 ready to go on it, and some lovely expensive headphones.

All in all an excellent combination, i just wish there was a bug free app that locks the screen when in pocket

yeah i hate it when the networks put their logos and software all over it.
I am torn between the Touch Pro and the Xperia X1.
I am leaning towards the X1 becuse of the larger screen.
The main reason for getting a new phone is to use the internet more, so i figured a better screen would help me!

So far....it's set to launch on Sep 29th. No delays so far

Working spot on buddy, few reg tweeks ( see tweek thread ), sensorlock, core player etc etc and im loving it !

Screwed by tmobike...

I bought my phone 30 days ago for $258, then today the G2 is FREE to new customers like me!?!? I called tmobile and asked for a concession and they basically told me tuff bananas ... wow I've been a customer for less than a month and I feel raped....

Prices always change. Give it a rest. Next time buy from tmobile, not tmobike. Their prices are better.

The exchange/return period is only 14 days if u activated in the store and 20 days over the phone or web....thats like going to wal-mart on black friday cause the tv u bought 31 days ago is on sale for 300 dollars cheaper...ur outside the return/exchange timeline....prices are always subject to change.....and of course if you get the phone when it first comes out ur gonna pay more the phone is always cheaper a month or two after release...
Everybody knows ur gonna get good deals on everything on black friday and cyber monday...so u kinda raped urself buddy

You screwed yourself, I got my 2 MT4G's for 30 bucks a piece with new contracts from T-Mobile a month ago by negotiating with them. It is not T-Mobile's responsibility to make you not an idiot.

Gonna have to agree with everyone here.

Lol I got it from TMOBILE ... the xda app has no EDIT POST feature...
And I originally bought the g2 and returned it for the mytouch 4g, but if i had known the g2 would be FREE 15 DAYS LATER, I would have kept the g2 if it was free....

If I had known I would have waited 15 measly days and got it FREE ....
Oh well I will just use it for 6 months and sell it for $400 on Craigs list. I will have exchanged it for a new on by then anyway as there is something between the screen and glass INSIDE PHONE as others have had same problem (see that thread). I'll have no trouble selling the new replacement for $400... heck I sold my iPhone 3g for $280 on craigslist....
The mt4g is a very nice phone and I'm enjoying it so Ill get $258 worth of use outta it in the mean time...

Well T-Mobile redeemed themselves in my eyes today via 611.. they gave me the PREFERRED DISCOUNTED ANDROID PLAN for unlimited data for $20 a month instead of $30, saving me $240 over life of my contract, which added up over the contract means i paid a whopping $18 for this awesome phone...
Now I Don't feel like I've been ripped outta $258 I paid for a phone i could have gotten FREE 15 DAYS LATER...

Soooo your surprised? Every carrier gives better deals if you WAIT and not buy the phone when it first comes out. Everyone tends to buy the phone as soon as it drops. After a month they give deals to keep sales up and get more people in

So what exactly did you tell 611? I paid the full upgrade price for the phone as well ($258) and have yet to send in my $50 rebate. I was an existing T-Mo customer, by the way.

Hey everyone, has anything been mentioned yet about being able to purchase the soon to be released Samsung Infuse off-contract? Tried looking around, but didnt see anything. Anyone have some insight on this? Thanks!

Thought it was just me. I've been looking frantically as well but can't find anything! Another thing where are the infuse forums! The phone is out in 5 days and were basically homeless. Back to price... I can't really see it bring over the price of the atrix which is 499... 199 on contract. So I think it'll fall right in line around there

I have seen three prices, 499 550 and 599. Nothing on paper, just rumor and the 550 was from a suppose ATT guy.

Just got back from the AT&T store. They gave me a hard time about buying off-contract on the release date (no idea why), but the manager said I could. It cost 549.99.

Weird I got no trouble at all. Walked in said I wanted one off contract. He walked out back and got one, asked if I wanted a case or dock or anything, I got the car dock (its sick) and then he rang me up. Smooth deal.

Got mine, 1 click root worked. Use latest version of 1 click (1.9 I believe).

$549.99 at AT&T store, $599.99 at Walmart/Best Buy.

i work at an ATT dealer in GA
and our system says cost price 500$
floor price 599$
im probably gonna just buy one outright from my dealer for $500
because they are going everywhere else for like 600-700$

I also had to go through this bull**** until I reminded them that they're denying me, a paying subscriber, service. If they didnt sell me the phone I was def going to cancel contract.

First let me introduce myself.
I have been following android forums for past year after switching from iPhone
During that time I rooted few phones installed custom rooms bricked some and so on.
Currently I'm using infuse after switching from Dell streak.
I purchased my infuse at local AT&T store and I was given $100.00 off without really asking much for it. I'm on contract and I didn't qualified for any discount even though I got it at $100 off. Retail no commitment price for it is $549.99 hope that Helps.
I had to sign up for 2 year contract extension though, but I don't care about that.
I love the phone, I have rooted it and Im waiting for custom roms.

already done. it is called the dell streak. it qualifies as a tablet, but it makes calls. really a tablet phone.

This is ONLY for you who do plan to buy the Sensation. Are you going to buy day 1 no matter what? Waiting to see if the initial reviews are good, but not for it to be rooted and bootloader unlocked? I'm waiting for at least the Sensation to be rooted and the bootloader unlocked.

Just waiting to see the initial reviews. I am hoping to see that there is no sort of LAG and good battery life(at least full day of average usage per charge). Also a good GPS is a must for me. I really dont care about the benchmarks like most the people. I want to have a solid working phone with no reception issues, no bleeding issues and no software issues. I am sure that some devs would be getting this phone and before we know it would have root and more. For now I cant wait to see some real world reviews of the final product!

Im sure it will be cracked. Alot of devs will be getting their hands on this phone. Seeing as its going to be the first dual core htc phone for tmobile. The question is how long will it take to be cracked. People thought the g2 was a lost cause but it happend.

Same here for calling customer care asap when released. Not worried about the bootloader cause I'm sure something will come along that will allow custom Roms. If not, well I'm currently running sense 3.0 port on g2 and it's freaking awesome. Now throw in much better hardware sound make for a great experience.

I think I won't wait and I'll just read reviews but lemme ask you.. what's so bad in HTC's rom at all or in the boot loader? (not that I know what it is.. never had Anroid so this is going to be the first hopefully)

I live in the US. But the UK will be having it first on the the 18th if im not mistaken. I have at least june 8th to decide. "HOPEFULLY" when it lands on the US itll be rooted and an unlocked bootloader. But either way im getting it.

I'm 90% sure it will be cracked, so I'm buying on day 1. Selling my two current phones (Desire HD and Galaxy S i9000) to get it.

I already ordered mine on Handtec. Hopefully the idiotic customs bureaucracy we got here in Israel won't delay it too much.

What is S-OFF really?
please tell me.. I am quite a newbie sorry:$

Play.com put this up for pre-order @ £499.99 in the UK. Tracked £17 odd cashback on my TopCashback too. Not too bad. Really hope S-OFF Can be achieved, but not a massive deal, I have 2 other phones I can mess with custom roms on, and switch between them all. But I'd imagine the XTC clip should be able to do it, if it can for the IS and DS.

Pre-ordered mine from play.com this morning, unlocked. They've got a date of 30th June.

I bought a G2x, returned it for another one, it too was plagued by the random reboots, so I returned it and got a Nexus S... Which due to my poor planning has to be returned by June 3rd... so, I am going to resort to borrowing a G1 for a few weeks so I can have the Nexus S money back in hand come release-day for the Sensation.
I'm not sure what people are all freaked out about - the MT4G and G2 didn't get unlocked for several weeks after their release. Give the XDA masters a chance to work their magic
