I just recently restored about 150 applications to my new Nexus S with Titanium Backup. However, in the Market...these same apps, that I have either purchased/downloaded, are coming up as uninstalled. Why aren't they being recognized for updates, etc? Any ideas on how to fix this and sync them to the market again?
You can run Market Doctor in TB. Menu>More>Market Doctor.

Ok I had the titanium backup (free edition) and couple things I didn't like was when it backed up my apps it did it individual and I had to confirm it one by one. Another thing I didn't like was it didn't download from the market it installed like it was a cracked apk. So my question is was I having these issues because it was the free version or is this how the thing backs up. And if so, is there a back up that does it automatically and from the market install.
Try AppBrain.
The paid version is awesome, and automatically restores everything without confirmation. It's totally worth it if you flash new roms.
.
titanium pro...... hands down
Does it install the apps thru the market?
I use my backup pro and it works very well. Paid version.
sent from my iph...wait oops.
Titanium Backup just makes a copy of the app thats installed on your phone on your memory card. Once you restore your apps if you reboot your phone they should all be listed in the market again under downloads.
Titanium Backup +1
well worth the money.
Nandroid.
Also, Titanium Fashow! I have a scheduled backup every day at 2:00 am. And it works when I need my apps and settings back.

Market updated, didn't load for an hour, after several restarts, finally loaded, now it doesnt recognize my apps, I used market doctor from titanium backup, it finds 82 recoverable apps, I try linking them, it says successful, but when I run, market again, apps are like before showing free or purchased next to them.
I have rooted 2.1 on x10. Plso help.

If It Says Purchased Next To Them,
I Think It's Recognizing Your Account Already? What Are You Trying To Do?

it recognises my acccount but all my apps when i click on them, it says install, they are already installed on my phone. i got a message via lookout app stating market updated after that when i wanted to run market, it did not load for an hour finally when it loaded it wasnt recognising which apps are installed in my phone.
Some Times When They're Installed From The SDCard, The Market Doesn't Recognize'em All,
It's Been Doing That To Me Also Since The Update!!

I am annoyed with the fact it is all happening since new market update. I did factory reset, I restored my apps with titanium backup, all the apps shows up on older market but not on new market

Hey everyone,
I'm just curious if anyone has used titanium backup with the charge yet. Has anyone run into any issues with it not working or anything? I haven't bought it yet but I plan on it if it works well.
Thanks
In previous releases, I was having issues restoring data to my apps after wiping for a new ROM. However, in the latest release, I am no longer having these issues. I am able to backup apps and app data and restore these apps as well as the data after doing a wipe. I'm also to freeze any unwanted apps and sync backups to my dropbox account. I'd say that it's worth the purchase.

I'll give it a go when I wipe my phone the next time and report my results
Been using titanium for a while now. They had a bad update recently but the best app on the market for rooted users.
I brought all my appear from my incredible to the thunderbolt back to incredible and on the charge.....just a great great application

What is the best way to do this? I mean when you restore your apps via super manager / my backup pro / titanium backup or nano backup. It seams like for automatic updates or newer versions the Market never re-links after a reload with these progams. I have tried the Titanium feature of Market re-link but it seams to never work.

well for free apps, you could just download them again from the market, if youve already restored'em with titanium you wont lose your data even after downloading from the market
Im not worried about the data being saved or not atm. I just want the apps to auto update without having to reinstall each one from the market just so it links each one for auto updating. You know when the market says updates available.

Did you find a way to re-link all apps? I am still looking how to do. Thanks.
I just backed up all my apps in My Backup and for all of them I got a Market Link not found unablento connect to market error.
Im in Thundershed 1.4 rom.
Any idea why I would get this error?
I dunno but why don't you use titanium backup?

I use both. I usually prefer to reinstall apps from my backup because titanium mixes in some (system?) apps that don't play well from one rom to another.
It seems that updating my backup fixed the problem.
It's always best to exclude system apps from your backup. If you don't back them up then you should be ok.

My Backup does that automatically so it reduces my chances of screwing up. I do use titanium for individual apps....just don't like using its batch feature.
I don't know how some developers can write great code all night long. The later it gets the more obvious my errors are the next day.
Yea I used my backup for a while but I got tired of the errors I was getting from using it. You can filter what apps show in your batch list in tibu which makes it easier for keeping system apps out.
