Market updated, didn't load for an hour, after several restarts, finally loaded, now it doesnt recognize my apps, I used market doctor from titanium backup, it finds 82 recoverable apps, I try linking them, it says successful, but when I run, market again, apps are like before showing free or purchased next to them.
I have rooted 2.1 on x10. Plso help.
Thanks

If It Says Purchased Next To Them,
I Think It's Recognizing Your Account Already? What Are You Trying To Do?
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
it recognises my acccount but all my apps when i click on them, it says install, they are already installed on my phone. i got a message via lookout app stating market updated after that when i wanted to run market, it did not load for an hour finally when it loaded it wasnt recognising which apps are installed in my phone.
Some Times When They're Installed From The SDCard, The Market Doesn't Recognize'em All,
It's Been Doing That To Me Also Since The Update!!

I am annoyed with the fact it is all happening since new market update. I did factory reset, I restored my apps with titanium backup, all the apps shows up on older market but not on new market

What is the best way to do this? I mean when you restore your apps via super manager / my backup pro / titanium backup or nano backup. It seams like for automatic updates or newer versions the Market never re-links after a reload with these progams. I have tried the Titanium feature of Market re-link but it seams to never work.

well for free apps, you could just download them again from the market, if youve already restored'em with titanium you wont lose your data even after downloading from the market
Im not worried about the data being saved or not atm. I just want the apps to auto update without having to reinstall each one from the market just so it links each one for auto updating. You know when the market says updates available.

Did you find a way to re-link all apps? I am still looking how to do. Thanks.
In Titanium Backup, if long-pressing on an app there's an option to Attach to Market. My thinking is that with this option, if I have an app on my phone that was not downloaded from the Market, I could 'attach to market' in order to receive update notifications for the app.
Is this wrong? Because I've attached an app to the market via titanium backup, but it doesn't show under My Apps in the Market.
Thanks for the help/clarification!
Yes, when you buy an app from the market, it comes almost like it's signed or something. There is a verification of it somewhere on the google servers. That's why it tells you download denied. Hope that helps a bit... So all amazon free apps must wait for amazon to update

so to clarify, if i download an app (.apk) and copied it to my sd card, then installed it on my phone and 'attached' it to the market via titanium backup, it won't really do anything? like, this doesn't make the market think i downloaded it from the market?
For paid apps, no... If you attach to market then clear market data and reboot phone, it could show up under your app lost... But if you try and update it... It will tell you update declined... So basically yeah, force attach doesn't really do much in that situation

thanks for the info!
I wipe my rom often, on each install i notice google market trying to download apps i used to have. Its NEVER all of them, its only a few here and there but sometimes it downloads NOTHING. Is there a way to find your app list that market sync's with so that it automatically syncs them every time? Is there a way to edit the list? because sometimes i find that it downloads older apps i removed a while back.
Any help would be appreciated...
I've wondered the same thing. When I used to be stock rooted on Froyo, I would notice my phone would always download all the apps from the market automatically, maybe save for the last couple of apps I downloaded before trying a new rom. But while I use Titanium Backup most of the time, it seems my phone no longer downloads them from the Market on its own. The last time it tried, it downloaded all the apps I have from about 3 months ago. So where am I missing the little option to make sure it always tries to download my most recent apps? I assumed they had always been backing themselves up automatically, but I guess not.
You can use SQLite editor to tinker with the market database. Don't know if that will help. Each installed app is listed in it and whether or not auto update is enabled for that app.

IS that a phone app or something i can do on the computer?
It's Google backup that downloads all your apps back from market, if you are not in 4g or WiFi your phone is screwed for an hour or so of battery drain.

Menu, setting, privacy. Is this checked? This being checked allows google to have those backup and you see this option shortly after the sign in. Mine its not checked because I don't use that feature but this started with Froyo.

Hi, im running Kings rom and have had a nagging message asking me to update the converter for about a week now.
I finally gave in and updated. After the update, I went to use the converter and my whole phone froze, requiring a battery pull. Upon restart I found that the game converter no longer appeared in my app drawer.
Where could it have gone? It seemed to install correctly as it opened, but then froze a couple seconds later.
Thanks in advance for any help

Did you check if it appear in options/applications?
If so, uninstall it. The original one is a system app and could not be uninstalled, so it will uninstall the update and leave the original one.
Hi sorry for late reply.
I have com.lge.lge3dgameconverter in my app list but all options are greyed out and its only 24kb

Hey I was wondering if anyone else has had apps install by themself, over the past few days a couple of apps have somehow showed up on my home screen. They don't show up under the app drawer or under apps in settings. Also ever since these started coming thru I keep getting notifications for other stuff like "lose belly fat" and "job offers starting at $325 and hour". I'm currently running aokp m6 if it helps. I've done a full wipe and it stopped for a day and then came back. I'll post some screen shots of the apps.
P.s. the ones installing automatically are the last three above the PayPal widget.

I too had some Apps install on their own. But they were apps I had before I attempted a NANDROID Restore, which for some odd reason failed and killed my Boot. So I was forced to re-flash my stock boot/ROM on my S3 (AT&T Flavor) and repeat the Rooting process. But once I started looking through my app drawer, some of these apps were being re-installed. Odd, perhaps some internal back-up that I'm not aware of on ICS.
Yea these are random apps that aren't even from the play store. When I click on them they open the browser and take me to a page to sign up for a subscription.

Have you installed recently any pirate app? An app not bought or downloaded from Android market?
I saw some apps that installs a patch that brings/installs apps and shortcuts on your cellphone. Tô solve this Just delete the program or patch and use an antivirus Just in case...
Good luck

No I purchase all my apps from the market. and have all your same apps from my note and my note doesn't have this issue.

same issue
I'm having this issue but its legit apps keep "updating" themselves baxk after I uninstall them
ie: bbm, flashify, (more I can't think off atm)
Some of the apps has Adware build in it, which means if you download the App, it will spam your Home screen full.
You can fix this problem by manually delete it everytime, to fix it permantly you need to delete the app.

Are you sure you uninstalled the right one?
also do you have any virus on your phone? I don't think this is the problem though.

Yes multiple times
Today I went as far as deleting history of them being installed in the app store... Waiting to see if they are back tomorrow
Update: still happening. Resorting to auto update off and still having to stop installs... Something to do with rebooting, or its triggering it
