I'm wanting to do some of the mod and widget stuff to the thunderbolt, but was wondering if HTC sense uses any extra battery?
If it does I can just switch over to the virus senseless Rom, but if not imma stick to the perfect storm
All current ROMs are actually sense based since a true AOSP ROM hasn't been released yet. I have noticed that Sense usually uses more battery just because of all of the background data and syncing that it does.
eh, I usually trim back all the junk data stuff anyways, so that's no real problem
Bought my Charge on Tuesday and am considering returning it today almost entirely due to TW.
Are the developers going to be able to remove TW on this phone? Is there going to be a true AOSP rom available?
As of current, with a rooted device, would I able to trade the TW launcher for the vanilla launcher? Messaging app? Keyboard? Lockscreen? Do something with the ugly notification pull down and the poor toggle options? I know it's early but I only have 10 days to decide and am seriously leaning towards trading for a Thunderbolt.
Also, is there anyway to fix the lag when unlocking the phone? It is seriously infuriating when turning on the screen that it takes almost a fulls second.
Install Launcher Pro or this rom gas the default Android launcher.

I have a Tmo US Sensation 4G Currently running the Android 2.3.5 sense 3.5 version of android Revolution HD, and just came from insertcoin 3.4 I believe. Im fairly sure I would have the same problem on any sense 3.5 rom. I did a full wipe and clean install for both roms, and after wiping and super wiping no go. Others don't really seem to be having the same problem as me (when switching to Front-facing camera it force closes, and the quick launch short cuts arent there)
After messing around with it I believe it has something to do with my titanium restore I do after flashing and rebooting 2x. anyone have the same problem or know what I can do to resolve it? Thanks in advance, and I really need to keep my data (or at least most of it) so not using titanium isnt much of an option as a whole.
Thanks so much!
I deleted probably around 85-90% of the HTC files via Root Explorer & TiBu. Everything is still intact except for Play Store & Talk, both of which I use pretty frequently. Does anybody know is there is anything besides the apks themselves that they need to work? I might have gotten a little overzealous & deleted a little too much trying to slim the rom down lol...I'm coming from using AOSP based roms (most recently AOKP on a Galaxy Nexus and have never had this issue after trying to debloat.
On a related note, if you uninstall the stock gallery, you won't be able to access pics from the camera thumbnail preview. If you install everything lockscreen related, it will default to the stock ics one which I thought was very cool.
*Edit - Crap, I borked native screenshot capability now too lol...
just wait a month, I think there will be good aosp roms....maybe even aokp...the rom I like the best...
there is aokp ported for htc one x ....when we got the cwm working perfectly...then it wont be far...
That's awesome news. AOKPs my favorite too. I'll have to search around for a market fix. Thanks for the info. I might just reflash the original rom tonight & be a little more selective with my uninstalls
I recently installed the venom 3.1 still have stock kernel. I was wondering about the ram usage. Mine usually runs at about 700-750mb out of 1gb. It is currently at 782mb out of 1gb. Running are google search, DM, android core apps, Maps, Social manager, talk, tasks, picasa uploader, notes, and stocks. Most of these apps I dont even use like picasa, talk, tasks, and stocks. I was just wondering if this is normal? I also have my Minfree settings to ultimate. If this is not normal what are the solutions?
I found a thread that has a like question. No answer. Just more data. A lot of people seem to be wondering if it is normal for just normal operations to be taking up 75% of your ram.

it runs fine besides it being a little choppy i have rebooted it several times........The only thing i have tweaked is the minfree and venom settings like htc sense lock screens and icon packs, status bar tweaks and thats about it. I have never used picasa which is always in my current app list along with a few others...maps is always in there too. its getting quite annoying. I didnt have my phone stock for very long so i dont have a base to compare from. but this is just ridiculous.

When you went through the installer, did you put Google Now on too? You also could've unchecked a ton of apps you didn't want (I know you know this) but you could go back through and get rid of more apps you don't want and even de-Sense it more. You may just want to re flash and start over. I've had great success so far with this rom. Turge went above and beyond this time.

Yeah I know I really like the rom that is why i am trying to fix it instead of flashing something else. I am going to try and re-flash, I will update shortly.
