[Q] What is the best app for movies, music and internet browsing? - General Questions and Answers

Hello everybody,
I'am fairly new to this whole 'android-user' world, but i really like customizing my phone. I had a Samsung Galaxy Apollo (GT-i5800) for a month (because my iPhone 4G broke) and after I really wanted a high end android phone. Currently I'm the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy S (GT-i9000) with GingerReal v5.1 which has completely replaced my iPhone.
Every day to work i watch movies/ listen music/ browse internet on my phone (almost 4 hours a day!!!).
I'm currently using MixZing (music) and mVideoPlayer (mediaplayer) Stock browser on SGS (browser).
I think they are pretty decent but I'm alway curious are there other players that are more easier/ faster/ less battery consuming apps out there which I never thought of.
What are your best/ recommend apps for:
Listening to music
Watching videos
Internet browsing
Thx. Nick

[Q] Music app that allows playback speed adjustment? Download TV Shows/Movies?

Hello all.
I am a very new owner of a Samsung Captivate (I've literally only had it for two days). In fact, I'm actually fairly new to Android in general. Prior to the Captivate, the only smartphones I've owned were Windows Mobile phones and an iPhone 3GS.
I'm doing well so far, but there are a few apps that I would really like to have, but can't seem to find.
To begin, is there app that allows you to download TV shows/movies. I've had apps like this previously and it would be really nice to have a similar app for the Captivate that works at least half as well. Second is an app I had from my WinMo days; TCPMP, in particular. TCPMP had an option that allowed you to slow down or speed up music playback and I was wondering if there are any music apps that allows that on Android?
Ultimately, I appreciate all replies, and thank you in advance!

[Q] Music player with tablet UI?

My favourite app for music playing on the phone is poweramp. I searched the net if there is a tablet UI available and all I saw is some plans from the dev to put out poweramp HD (saw this on their forums but dated late last year).
So I guess, which app has a UI that maximises the extra real estate of a tablet?
Thanks

Lock apps at night

Hi
I am getting my daughter a samsung galaxy tab 3 tablet and I was wondering are there any apps available that can reduce the number of apps available at night.
The reason is I would be happy if she had the tablet in her room at night if I can be sure she is not watching youtube, playing games etc.
She will want to listen to music at night and I am happy with that, but I would like to have something that I could disable all apps and only leave music available.
If no such app exists are there any other apps which would keep a history of what apps were used and when they were used?
Thanks
Confiscate the tablet at night and buy a cheap 10 quid MP3 player for her to use for music?
You could use an app to keep track of the time an app is used, like Frequency: App Usage Tracking or App Usage Tracker.

[Q] [Features Request]

Hi
I was wondering if you will be adding streaming? One of my favorite apps has now become pretty much usless to me since this video player has recently become the only one allowed to be used instead my own an it has no streaming! This day an age streaming is a major factor of why people enjoy modern Tech everyone i know does a lot!. A Samsung Galaxy S4 screen is small to be fair so I like to stream it to bigger screen so I can enjoy what I watch an be able make everything out etc. Please add streaming its the only feature thats really missing to me! =(
Thanks!

Rplacement app for Milk?

Now that Samsung has decided they are lactose intolerant and will no longer support Milk how are you folks going to stream music? This is one of the major reasons I want to buy the 3g enabled Gear S2. Am I delirious to think this was a good idea to begin with? Is there a valid replacement for Milk in the works?
Well, I am replying to myself as is the way most every day.
Just got off the phone with Samsung and they are replacing the Milk app with Sound Cloud. I'm not sure of the interface but I will be pleased if it is similar to the Milk one. That bezel control is too sexy to eliminate....
I have all my music in my Google Play... I'd much rather stream from there than whatever random music is on spotify, etc... I wish there was a way to do that on the gear alone.
