I managed to get this working today, if there is interest I can write up a quick how to with download links. On my phone so no flashable zip unless someone wants to put one together.
Credit: I'll give this to whoever made these files. Borrowed them from jt1134's cm6 file though.
Download: http://db.tt/KKFqryt
Dsp manager: http://db.tt/JRRs8qk
Instructions:
Unzip that file.
Place the music app in /system/app
Place invoke_mock_music_player.so in /system/lib
You can either rename or delete the stock music player.
Reboot once you place the files and rename/delete the stock player.
yeah you dont even need the lib file...i packaged it into the gingerbread theme...and we frequently do it in themes/roms on the fascinate without it...but cant hurt

Better safe than sorry right? Lol it was the only lib this phone didn't share with the fascinate.
Does it include dsp eq?
so what exactly is the point of this when the latest AOSP music player is on the market? You know the one that looks more like Honeycomb and works with Google Music?

I don't have dsp working currently. By that, the app works but eq settings don't work.
As for the market app... if that's your preference feel free to use it. I just prefer this one.
Op updated with dsp. Still working on that but if anyone can lend a hand it'd be appreciated.

Self explanatory. Was wondering is someone could port it from 2.2 and make it available.

yes really. I would like it is as well.
????
really.....?
Just install Froyo. Tada!
I have an EVO. I would really like this keyboard. Nothing is doing it for me right now, HTC keyboard sucks, swype is good but i want something that works well with two hands.
thanks!
....really???
I'd pull it from my phone if I knew where it was located.
Doesn't work with not-Froyo.
Yes, really. I too hate the HTC IME keyboard. If we're asking for something that's been posted somewhere else...(I searched, and couldn't find it) please tell us. But I really miss the stock froyo keyboard, and I'm running the Team Chaos froyo rom for the moto droid.
Thanks in advance.
ho-hum
This, apparently...

I've already pulled it and tried it. It targets the API level 8 (Android 2.2) and wont install on 2.1. If someone were to take the source and modify the Manifest, then maybe we'd be in luck, but we have no source yet, so it's not likely to happen.

(from /showthread.php?t=692094)
I'm running 2.2, but can't find the .apk for it. The only one I can find has been modified for 2.1 and FC's constantly.
I don't know why everyone is such an ass about this... I am used to the stock android 2.2 keyboard, and am on a Desire ROM... I would also like the .apk from the standard froyo rom.
Is that really too much to ask? This community is for everyone to coexist and help eachother.. not to be snobs and make rude comments when other members ask fo something so small. Just because you wouldn't use it, doesn't mean that another member has no use for it. If you have nothing nice to say, gtfo and troll on another forum.
I don't know what the .apk is even named, or I would pull it from one of the many roms that I have downloaded. Can anyone provide something other than some bs reply?
Cannot attach a link on my n1 but it is called latinime.Apk in /system/app/
here's the keyboard unmodified.
Thanks guys!! VERY appreciated.
From my Nexus One Froyo FRF91..there are 2 files.
LatinImeGoogle.apk and LatinImeGoogle.odex
I have zipped them all.
Kind soul..please help to de-odex and put them all back to single apk package.

Done!
For all that care:
1. Download the keyboard: http://www.mediafire.com/file/k9hiq8xg4fcl8ie/LatinIME.apk
2. Put on SD Card
3. Install via appmonster or other .apk installer
4. Enjoy!

The one I posted was already deodexed.
Got it working
The APK file posted by Geo411m did not work for me (wouldn't install), but the one linked to by midnightslide did the trick. After following the instructions the Android keyboard began appearing in keyboard options and I was able to select it by long-tapping in a text input area. Voice input functioned as expected.
This was useful as the FroyoStone desire-based ROM for HD2 released on the 7th didn't include the stock keyboard, and the keyboard included did not have voice input functionality.
I was wondering if anyone has been able to successfully reproduce the Beach LWP for the Nexus yet? I've searched around and I know there's some galaxy s LWPs that have successfully worked on N1 (Ocean Wave is really vibrant, no pun intended) but with beach LWP all I've read is FC's and on mine it also FC'd. The Beach one is different from Blue Sea and Ocean Wave (just clarifying because some searches I've done have mistaken Beach for one of those, when I just want Beach). Thanks.

Should be a version on the market.
the only ones i've found on the market are other beach-type live wallpapers but not the one that i've seen on the samsung captivate 2.2
Point me to a deodexed rom with it included and I'll have a look at it for you.
I did the non-root version of the other Sammy LWP's.

Here's one... Still using the tricks from over here to use the modded Fascinate and Captivate 2.1 LWPs on my Captivate. Might just work with that....
Attached is the LWP and Lib file. Might work to push the lib file to the system/lib folder, fix the permissions and install the apk. If it doesn't work, here's the link for the thread for a Cappy/i9000 rom.

i tried to push the lib file to system/lib and fix permissions, install apk and didn't work, tried fixing permissions after installing apk too and didnt work either

Yep, already done that. The library itself has a masked dependency and I cant trace it. I even built the library into the apk and recompiled it and it still fc'd. So this means that the .so has a dependency on another .so or on the Samsung framework (like HTC does).
This means that the method I used to make the other Sammy LWP's available for non-root will not work with this one.
If you install my modified apk on a Galaxy S phone it works so it's a Samsung bit somewhere that's required and that bit may be mutually exclusive with other roms.
I was afraid of that, but since I now have a Captivate, I thought that I would oblige and pull them for you guys.
Here is a ported Honeycomb bootanimation from the XOOM tablet that has been modified to fit the HTC EVO along with a custom SPC audio file that plays the opening music and narration from Tron Legacy. Install using ROOT Explorer and place here...system>customize>resource...note that this is for SENSE ROMS only. Also make sure to unzip the audio rar first before placing it on the root of the SD Card as an MP3 audio file.
got a video?
Nope, can't add video or images because I'm a noob and this forum won't let me. Sorry.
havent tried this but i listen to the music file .. wouldve been nice if it was the music only ..
I just downloaded the bootscreen and extracted it to view the images and it looks sexy. Might have to try this when i get home.
It's not that hard bro, I just rooted my Inspire w/Bubbys file.. Side note: It was my first time rooting this evening...
Worked perfect!!
I just used HTC bootAni Replacer
Thanks bro!!
its a good one too
Ive had this bootanimation on other roms but there kinda slow
this one works really good for my phone
and Im NOT on a sense rom!!
I just didnt use the sound bit
The file goes into /system/media folder
Glad you liked it.
Quick question, where do I push the mp3 to? And do I have to rename it to android_audio before I push?
If you're using a sense rom you only have to change the MP3 file from a .rar to a .zip and push it to system>customize>resource, but if you're on a non-sense rom I believe you will have to leave the MP3 audio out of the equation all together. Perhaps someone else on here knows how to push it to a non-sense rom(lol, a non-sense rom), but I have been told that it will not work and I have yet to get it to work on a non-sense rom even after renaming it android_audio. Hope this helps.
Correct me if Im wrong but the audio for bootanimations is simply an mp3. Its not in a zip, So you would have to extract the SPC_animation_final.mp3 from the rar file. Then push the mp3 to system/customize/resources. For sense based roms. If anyone is interested I could wrap this up in a flashable zip for those of you who have your booanimation in system/customize/resources.
Gruesomewolf that would be nice thanks ahead of time

Can you tell me where you got HTC BootAni Replacer?
I just flashed the new CM9 rom, v3.4. The first week when I flash a new ROM, I'm always trying out new mods, themes, kernels, etc. I tried the transparent music widget mod. For that I downloaded a new music apk and I deleted the existing music apk in the system/app folder.
But I don't really like the mod, so I wanted to go back to the original music apk. I'm not quite sure where to download it. It's not google music: that's the music app with the transparant layout. When I search for CM9 music apk I find a few downloads, and I think I got the original back with the black and ICS blue layout. But I don't think it's the latest version of the CM9 music app, because it has bugs it didn't have before.
So does anyone know how to get the music apk back that I got with the CM9 v3.4 ROM? Is it included in gapps (which I don't think, because it's the CM9 music app and not the Google music app)? I just want to make sure I've the latest version, without the bugs I have now.
Thanks in advance,
Androyed

Just refash your rom It'll be present in it.
Here's the latest version
Hello all
I just flashed CM9 RC2 and really like it. However, I accidently deleted Apollo (actually I corrupted it using Titanium Backup). I found an APK online, but it seems to be an old (outdated) version that doesn't include the beautiful widget. So here is my question, can someone please export Apollo from CM9 RC2 for me, including the widget?
Appreciated
I am assuming by beautiful you mean black widget.
Here's the original thread.
Also I have attached a flashable zip for the same:good:
EDIT:cm9 rc2?And i think apollo was removed from rc1(in upstream)

Well, actually, I liked the original (white widget) the most. Beside that, I can confirm that Apollo has not been removed from RC1.
However, I'll give it a try. Thanks for sharing.
EDIT: Great, it's exactly what I needed. Or maybe not exactly, I prefer the white version of the widget. Very weird actually. Normal I am the person that prefers black and now I seem to have an other taste than lots of others here and prefer the white one. However, I think I like it because it's a new, fresh ook
Oh, i misunderstood this in changelog:cyclops:

Just had a weird occasion. When I rebooted my phone the Apollo widget was black again, how is this possible and how do I fix it?
