Battery stats - T-Mobile LG G2x

Can somebody share with my their stats from the battery status widget? I have pretty decent battery life, that is, until the voltage spikes up to 200+ mah for some reason, and I was trying to seen of this was normal...

Now its spiked to over 300 with the same usage that had it at 70 earlier..and my battery is getting warm

Battery cycle trick

Does that battery cycle trick that supposedly doubles the battery life of htc batteries work on other ones as well?

New 2750 mah battery, best way to break it in?

Hey guys I just upgraded to the extended battery and was wondering the best way to properly break in and how long to charge for the first time, any help would be appreciated thanks

The best way I've seen, in my experience, to "train" a battery is to use it until it dies and then leave it charging overnight.
Yeah I would just let the battery do a couple charge and discharges

No need to do that with lithium batteries, they have no memory. This practice is from the old days of nickel cadmium batteries.

That may be true of the battery but is not for the phone.
Li battery's don't have a liner discharge and each battery has a different personalty lot to lot.
The phone learns the curve of the battery through discharge, so letting it discharge completely once or twice helps the phone more accurately display how much battery is left.
Oh okay guys, thanks fyi this battery is a huge improvement, I def recommend it, I actually used my phone quite a bit and from all day use only used 27 percent of battery and had data on, normally with barely any use id lose around 60 percent if not more with data off.. def like my thunderbolt again
edit: I'm on 3g only so I don't know how battery life would improve on 4g..

just to warn you.. i dont know what rom you are using, but keep an eye on the battery gauge while you are actually using the phone and make sure it's not 'sticking'.. i was running froyo bamfs on my extended and my percentage wouldn't properly update and i would have to restart it to update it or it would jsut randomly show up after a while... anywho i ended up going to GB and back to the stock battery, i hate how f***ing big that stupid thing is... its like holding a house phone.
You should probably clear battery stats and run a battery calibration app so it doesn't stick
Drive it like ya stole it!

Yeah I always calibrate with every new rom install, but went ahead and did it on the new battery once I was at 100, the battery isn't so bad once you get used to it, the case can have a big difference on the feel of extended battery.
Mostly I love the fact I can use the phone to the fullest and not have to sacrifice anything and still have 70 percent at the end of the night

Extended battery

Has anyone found an extended battery our better battery for this phone? It seems using gps and web for 15 mins eats almost 40% of the battery. I'm afraid to leave home with out my charger now, as dumb as it sounds. And this is with screen brightness at zero, juice defender ultimate, and various other battery saving things. Already did a BBS but it seems the battery just sucks
if you're using GPS the battery is going to drain. Though 40% sounds steep that is why I have a car charger. And honestly some of those battery saving apps only make it worse...don't overdo it with those.
As far as your question it has already been asked...no need to ask again.

The ones for the galaxy nexus work on the blaze

40% in 15 mins? Impossible. If so, your battery is defective. The galaxy nexus GSM battery I read works on this phone, try that.

The 2000mah Galaxy Nexus battery would fit, but I doubt the battery cover would.

[Question] Battery % issue on our G3

On every rom i port, why does our g3 do not show correct battery % values.
What is the use of one % battery mode if it does not show correct values.
Is there any solution? Or any developer who can make our g3 to show each % of battery accurately.

buddy, i just wanna inform you...you missed section.....and....battery indicator depens on a kernel you use aswell....as cm7 kernels...(some of them)...have that bug...but not g3mod....so...
Thanq for ur reply Rkoby...I know that battery % depends on kernel.
Not only in cm7 kernels but also in froyo kernels and roms after charging to 100%, in just 5 min battery level gets down to 32% or 28% even if we dont use the phone and after that it takes a day to get down to 12% then another day gets down to 5% and then i have to charge my phone.
Even on g3mod kernel.

What i need is battery % should be accurate to its each value.
Can any one suggest me any froyo kernel which shows battery % correctly.

Few more questions to ask.
1. I have got my new battery in a plastic cover.....so I wanted to know wether it is better to use the battery along with the cover.
2. Does overclocking spoils the battery.
3. Few more tips so that batter would last longer [for many years].
Sent from my first smart phone
I think it is better to remove plastic cover as it would just act as an insulator and heat the battery.
Regarding better battery life you can try using profiles in set CPU to increase your battery life as well reduce overall lag.
You can overclock whenever your apps demand more processing like heavy games etc.
Sent from my GT-I5800
Basics 101 no one makes a product to last "many years". If ppl dont come back for more most companies will have to shut down shop. Max you can expect is 1-3 years.
Some things you can do ensure longer battery life are:
1) Make sure you calibrate your battery once in month or 3 months.
2) Avoid completely draining you battery often.
3) ensure first charge of about 6-8 hrs with the phone switched off
Apart from this you can also set up some Profiles in set cpu to underclock your processor @night or when screen is off to reduce power consumption.
Sorry dude I misinterpreted your question
In order to get the battery running for many years never let the phone be plugged in to charger once it is fully charged (like leaving it to power source all night). This is common cause of batteries dying earlier
Sent from my GT-I5800
Yes......it is good to unplug the charger as soon as it gets charged.

First 10% (from 100%-90%) seem to go very fast?

Maybe not VERY fast, but definitely a lot quicker than say 70%-60%, or 50%-40%, etc... anyone else notice that and happen to know why?
Yeah, same here and have no idea why.
I hope that's the case. .. I got the hyperion 6500 battery. Today's first full charge. 100 to 90 in less than 20 minutes

I wouldn't worry about that so much as total battery life.
Lithium Ion batteries are constantly degrading, and they have those smart circuits that may need a full discharge/full charge cycle to reset the low and high markers. That could be the cause of your observations (the high marker on your battery is no longer where it used to be, therefore the first 10% reading might be off).... but I doubt it because the phones are so new.
Yeah I'm going to do a full drain. Other than that, I love my s5 I always gotta get the extended battery

My theory, Samsung fakes the battery percentage and adds the extra juice to the last 10% so they can make the claim for "24 hours on ultra power saving mode with just 10% battery remaining."
