HTC announced the "Sensation" today and it will have Sense 3.0 built in (i.e. launching apps from the lockscreen). Do you think either HTC will update the Bolts out there to Sense 3.0, or will we get from the XDA modders?
I'm sure it will get Sense 3.0 from the Devs first
**** I sure hope so looks super sweet. But we should get our updates soon after sensation comes so hopefully verizon and htc gives it to us in the gingerbread update would be awesome.

I heard that even the Evo was never officially updated to 2.0
Is that true? If so, it doesn't bode well for HTC officially updating to 3.0 for the Bolt.

Indeed.
The INC and EVO never "officially" got Sense 2.0, but there are half a dozen ROMs available for those two phones to run it unofficially. I would be shocked if the same did not occur for this phone in regards to 3.0 as well
Im not a rooter...so i need it officially. I emailed htc asking the question...lets see what they say.

as much time as htc and verizon took with the thunderbolt...its very likely that the thunderbolt will be overlooked in getting 3.0...unofficially though, my biggest problem with the devs that make the roms is they add a whole bunch of stuff when all I may actually want is just a stockish gingerbread os combined with sense 3.0...i hope when the time comes...that will be available...im not a flashing person either...but that...i would actually flash
Rest assured, When it is out. I will at the very least create some monsterish beast that has this

kmobs was sent a S-OFF device by T-Mobile and he is starting work on CM. He has never really straight said that but I have talked to him and inferred what he was saying

Lucky guy. Also happy to see T-Mobile actively supports the development community which leads me to believe that they won't block the S-OFF roll out from HTC.

Dunno. Coming from my n1 running cm7 I don't miss it. Apps like feedr go poof, weak camera, poor corporate network support. All things that just work on the sensation stock rom. With the exception of nandroid there's not
A thing I need root for. On the n1 I needed it to work around all the limitations of the various roms out there, not the case with the sensation.

I wanted to know if anybody would be interested in trading with me a T-mobile Sensation for a Optimus 3D... its sim unlocked, no problems , in perfect condition... I don't want the sensation, because it can't be rooted

I'm assuming you mean the captivate? I would pick the sensation hands down compared to the captivate...more pixels, 8MP camera compared to 5MP and its dual core...

I think the sensation already has ICS ROMS available, not sure about the official upgrade.

Cus I ordered a battery from Amazon and it says evo 4g on it but on the subject it also says HTC sensation
And might I add they are the same volt 3.7v
