Since the Sensation SE is going to be basically exactly the same in design, isn't it possible to buy the 1730Mah battery and it install it in my Sensation 4G?
You can get a stock battery from the evo 3d it will fit the sensation.

It will be the same rom. Ain't be able to buy an official battery until after the phone is released.
Sent from my Cyanogenmod loaded Htc Sensation 4g.
I read somewhere that the Evo 3D battery's pins are located in a different area compared to the Sensations battery pins. So I'm iffy on that. It'll totally be worth the upgrade though and wouldn't mind buying that **** right now!

I heard the sensation se will have a stock speed of 1.5ghz. It would be nice if we can flash this rom to our sensation to bump up the speed from 1.2 to 1.5 without flashing custom roms or modified kernels etc. I like to stay stock

You read wrong. I have the evo3d 1900mAh Seidio battery in my Sensation. The battery goes in backwards but works fine.
Hi - anyone bought one of these, I know there is a White cover thread, but anyone bought the black one with beats audio?
Does it fit the original HTC Sensation? Anyone have pics they can share?

That's for the Sensation XE. Would it even fit/be compatible?
It will work with the regular Sensation, but not the Sensation 4G

The Sensation 4G has an extra antenna in it to be able to use 4G. (Meaning there's an extra connector on the inside of the battery cover)
The Sensation & Sensation XE are both 3G only phones.

but the sensation "4g" is really just 3g, its HSPA+. I thought I read somewhere that the missing antenna has no effect whatsoever on reception/data.

Nope.
It's 3G like the regular Sensation.
It will fit on a Sensation 4G but like i said, one of the antennas won't connect to it like the rest.
I've seen a few people say that it doesn't make much difference, but others have said it means that you hardly get any signal. Have a look at some threads that talk about both phones and make a decision based on what you read.
I've had that beats cover on my phone for the last few weeks. I have a TMobile Sensation 4G. It works just fine with it

Link for purchase?
Just to confirm, I currently own a Sensation XE and am on T Mobile USA. My son has a Sensation 4g. While true, the Sensation 4g case does have an extra connector in its back plate, I have swapped the back plates and was able to connect to T Mobile's network instantaneously with both.
I wouldn't worry about if I were you.
Ask yourself this..Is it really worth spending $30 on a back cover? I mean if your back cover is missing, then yeah its worth it. Otherwise not so much.
Although it does look pretty cool
haha, i have to agree, my back cover is chipped so bought a replacement on ebay for 13.99, just plain black.
now if the beats logo one was around $15 shipped, i would buy it but not for these $25-$30+ range

I've had my HTC Sensation XE for a while now and I'm looking to buy a new battery for it as the stock one isn't exactly great. I was just wondering whether I should get an Anker 1900mAh battery or a Saner 1900mAh battery. I've heard they're both good but just wanted to know if there was any big stand out points between the two.

Well I ran my phone down today and got 3 hours 7 minutes with max brightness, screen on the entire time, phone actively being used the entire time. Didnt take a screenshot but those were the exact numbers.
I'm recommending Anker, it's much better than stock, but there is one thing... This batter does not have chip needed to secure phone from overheating

I've used both as my anker fried out but that's was just bad luck I guess, both the banker and saner seem to have identical battery life, I can't really tell the difference
"use the thanks button every time you get an answer, even if its one you don't like! you ungrateful **stard"- Xda 'you are a noob video'
One thing tho whit those batteries no sensors to tell real temp of battery :/ but if you want a reallly good one but expansive : Mugen.

Just one last thing, the Saner says "The battery has an integrated microchip, Over-charge/discharge protection, over-current protection" whereas on the Anker it says "Built-in protection circuit to assure safety under all circumstances."
Is there any difference between the two of them?
I currently use my 1900 Anker battery and the performance has been amazing. I am currently running shnizlon's sense 4 rom and most of the times I can easily get through a day to a day and a half with moderate use. I normally have the screen set to it's lowest brightness level and 2g on instead of 3g/4g. I noticed this helps battery performance greatly. I highly recommend it.

+1 for Anker. Bought my Sensation from marketplace and have been using the Anker in it since day one. No problems with overheating and battery life is excellent. Gets me through an entire day no problem.
If you are concerned about the temp sensors, there are HTC batteries for other devices that will fit. I believe the EVO 3D battery works and is in the range of 1700mah. Take a look at this thread for a real good discussion:

Well music/videos/games drains battery no matter what.
Anker suppose to have better quality and ~25% more capacity then the stock battery.

Either get something like the Anker 1900 mAh, a Sensation XE, Evo 3D, or Amaze 4G battery. They are all around 1730 mAh.
I will be very worried to use cheap battery and cheap batteries have short life too
Can't beat the Anker for the money...I don't even need a car charger anymore.
