Charge US phone in Europe and Asia - General Questions and Answers

I want to buy a phone from USA and i was wondering if it will be a problem when i`ll charge it in Europe
The problem i`m thinking about is Europe`s 220V electricity socket vs the US 120V
Just using a European charger for that phone should be enough, right?

the charguer of the majory of the devices are compatibles... you should to look at the specifications...
in US the electricity its running at 60 hz..in the rest at 50 hz...
in the charguer may stay written 50-60 hz accepted
and the voltage in theory all the charguers acept since 100v to 240v
no problem
and the most important thing... ensure you that the intensity (A) its the same in the output...

Polaris from UK and electric power

I ordered today TC from UK and completely forgot about it until payment has been executed. What kind of electricity do you guys in UK use? Continental Europe uses 220 V / 50 Hz. What kind of power adapter is included with TC? Is it auto switch? In worst case - will I be able to buy a "spare" HTC Touch or TytnII adapter and use it with my TC?
Thanks for your help

UK as the same as continental, also you can charge it from a USB port.
Also, all electronic devices work with multiple voltages, viz - http://www.htc.com/product/03-product_htctouch_cruise.htm
Voltage range/frequency: 100 ~ 240V AC,
50/60Hz
DC output: 5V and 1A

Don't worry, we use 240v, but due to eu law our supply has to be +/- 10% of 230v inline with the rest of Europe. That is what the "CE" stands for on all electrical goods. with regard to the Hz cycle, to my knowledge, all countries in the world are between 50-60 Hz. The Uk is 50 the US is 60. This is the cycle that the electricity is generated on. It is the most efficient cycle. All you need is an adapter.......I hope this helps.................
Kind Regards,
Will
Thank you both for a quick reply. You saved my day. Also, I completely forgot about possibility of charging via USB. I really don't know where did it come to my mind that UK uses the same power as USA. Thank god I'm saved now. ;-)

[Q] Sensation AC 220 Volt charger ?

Hey Guys!!
I live in India, and was thinking of getting the Sensation. Play.com has it for pre-order. But before I could get it, there's this question :
In India, the electricity is 220 volts AC. So, will the charger work on this voltage ? If not, is there any other way to work around it ?
Thanks !!

You can propably buy an MicroUSB-charger outputting 1A from India if needed?
I ordered my Nexus from USA to Finland, they have 110V and we have the same 220V as you, all I needed to do is I got a plug that converted the USA plug to Finnish one.
You might also want to take a look on Nokia AC-8 charger, it is quite high quality with great output.

In addition, all HTC wall chargers I have seen, their input voltage is from 100-240. Meaning that it'll work on any voltage.
Thanks for the answers both of you

Compatibility of Honor 8 charger from USA in South Africa

I have already ordered an honor 8 from US amazon, with a charger that has a US plug.
South Africa uses 220/230 volts AC 50HZ, 5 amp 2 prong with round pins.
I did some research and almost all modern chargers seem compatible with 220/230 volts. However I would just like to confirm that it will work with just a physical form adapter.
Also in the Q&A it said:
Question:
Brings turbo charger with it? Is it compatible with 220V of south american countries?
Answer:
The phone comes with a 9 V 2 A high voltage quick charger. It also supports 5 V 2 A chargers (for Indian markets). Make sure you buy an official Huawei 9 V 2 A charger; unofficial quick chargers will not work properly. If you need a quick charger, you can buy one from Huawei Vmall or official Huawei experience shops. We do not recommend using a 220 V charge on the phone. (NS)
Is there a reason why the seller is recommending not using a 220V charge? Or is it just to cover their ass?
I've been trying to look for a genuine Huawei usb c quick charger in South Africa to no avail... If anyone can also help me out there, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Looking forward to your responses.
Not sure on the US chargers as I always use UK or European charger which work on 110 / 240 v, so if you had one of these it would not be a problem.
I should imagine the US also acts this way 110/240 volts and all you would need is a mains adapter as you stated.

Offical Razer Charger Question

I live in the UK and currently using a the offical razer charger (that plugs into the UK socket) going away next month to the US and wondered if i would need to pickup the US version of the adapter. I was never a fan of using travel plug like devices and now that my travel kit is all USBC i was just thinking its best to use the right plug for the main device which would be the phone.
I have the RavPower 26800mah power bank so can always output power to other devices if needed such as bluetooth headphones as it has USBC PC in/out and standard USB connections which is more than i need
£40 is a bit of a price but didnt want to buy cheap "travel like chargers" also because the US power runs at 120v and UK runs at 240v i believe as the phones quick charge shouldnt make a difference as the lower power in the US is still way more than the requirements for quickcharge meaning it will charge at the same speed.
...would it be cheaper just buy a new power cord??? Mine just uses the standard 3 OOO plug. I have a spare US cord from a previous Toshiba Laptop that works fine on my UK power adapter.

Look on the plug to see whether it states "100-240V, 50/60 Hz" , it will work fine with an adapter.
The Razer charger is a 100-240v (50hz-60hz) adapter, so even though it only has UK prongs on it, the internals of it are capable of running on the US power grid.
All you should need is a standard UK>US adapter, something like this.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ShaniTech-...1524758367&sr=8-1&keywords=US+UK+adapter&th=1
Hell you might be able to find one in poundland or the US store equivalent.

I'm sure your question has been answered, but I have the US version in Korea. The charger works fine on 220v with a 110 to 220 plug adapter. Also, I think I saw mention above of a power bank. I have a GIGASTONE model PB-7824, 24000mAH. It has USB-C and it supports fast charge.
