Hello all,
I bought a nexus 1 from SFR in Strasbourg and I have tow Years Warranty.
now my phone is broken, the power button is dead, and I want to active my Warranty.
I'm not live in France.
So my question is: if I will take my phone to vodafone in Spain it will be ok?
I mean, SFR and Vodafone its the same right?
Hope to get an answer
P.s
I'm sorry for my lame english, hope you all understad me
No one? I'm really need help
Well i read my warranty contract few minutes ago and it doesn't say if you can or can't use warranty services in other countries.Read yours,if it's not specified,go to closest Vodafone representative and ask there.Logically they should accept, now who knows...
Thank you for your answer!
Well that's what I'm going to do, I'm just wanna make sure that Vodaphone and SFR is the same.
In my warranty also don't mention about the service in other countries.
The only place you can get a good answer is from Vodaphone.

Hi
As you can see I am new to this forum so I hope I am posting this in the correct place.
My question is I have read a few guides on how to flash my HTC HD2 what I havent seen mentioned is what provider you are with. I am on O2 in england the phone was on vodafone in england but has been unlocked. How do I know what Rom to use to get it to work on O2 in england or does the rom have no affect on that.
Just thought I better check with you Guy and Girls before I do anything.
Thanks for any help.
Nope, you are good. Your ROM will not affect your cell phone service.
Hello,
I have seen a sentence from JUDge JOseph DRead on a previous post and coz i'm french i don't understand.
"If you want it unlock see your carrier or subscriber, and do not post your IMEI ever any where...."
I think this mean do not post it, so my question is; how to do it, story is my wife has exchanged a htc trophy for this old dirty phone something like a present to her dad, now she's got a phone but the thing is how to make it useable in France it's a phone from an other country, Morocco. Her SFR provider doesn't work on it.
I've got provider ID and IMEI, i don't want to pay for a phone like that, i have already tried with LoginPlus, but probably it's outdated, if someone knows how it can work.
And when i push buttons it is written "Warning battery error", is it a false chinese battery, how do i recognise it, and is it dangerous?
P.S; can't find how to go in Q.A. Forum part. Thanks in advance for responses.
hi
short story
warranty lost by unlock bootloader and living in another country, screen damaged, needs repairing
long story
phone bought in CHILE (CLARO), i live in venezuela (had to sim unlock the phone), screen suddenly became bad, a factory quality control issue, the issue is not rom problem or software, i tried every rom, GPE, stock, etc, it is a hardware problem, even shows problem in fastboot
so, well, i need to repair the phone, what can i do??
i wish to send it to USA to be repaired but i don´t know if motorola has that service, to repair even after warranty lost, i want to pay for repair, shipping etc, what could i do
BTW
no, in venezuela you cannot do any repair, there are no spare parts, no qualified technicians, nothing, and off course chile is not an option

As far my knowledge goes, you have two option opened.
1. You should go to the customer care again (Sometimes they repair phone with a certain charge)
2. Or you may go to any phone mechanic to repair your phone.

1, in venezuela no
2, same as 1|
Hello there!
As this phone doesn't really have its own dedicated area in the forum , i just felt this is the right place to ask for help.
I own this device which was bought on contract from orange romania , and unfortunately it is sim locked.
I have contacted htc regarding this issue and they checked my IMEI but they said that my phone doesn't appear to be locked nor branded by any carrier. In other words , this phone has got a lock on it , but it wasn't htc that put it there, but orange romania.
Do you know any way to unlock it? I would go into a service store but it's hard to find somebody that is capable of unlocking my phone, i have already tried 3 stores in my area and all of them returned a negative result.
I live in italy so i can't go back to orange and ask them to unlock my phone. Even so, if you're still on contract , they charge you 100€ to unlock your device, which is absolutely insane , my phone costs NEW , UNLOCKED 130 € on ebay.
Therefore , any thoughts? I'm willing to test some stuff if you have any idea. Of course , i wouldn't want to brick my phone as i really doubt i can find someone to unbrick it around here, but anyway , i'm open to new ideas.
Thanks in advance!
I tried registering my V20 @ LG UK support. Purely to register ownership, nothing else. No go. So I mailed them yesterday, here's their response.

Hello Mark,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your query.
In regards to this I am sorry to say that as we do not sell the LG V20 in the UK or Europe you are unable to register it in the UK. I must also advise that as the product is not sold in the Uk we are unable to cover the warranty of the handset as we stock no parts for the product and the warranty is a regional warranty.
I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you Mark, however I hope I have answered your query today.
Should you need any more assistance, you can reply to this email by clicking the additional questions link.
Kind regards
Scott

I knew there's no warranty but I see Scott emphasised that even though it wasn't my query.
Anyway that's the official LG stance for us UK owners.
Edit: And also European owners.
