I don't think you can

How can the Tegra 1Ghz give a higher performace??? no, it's possible that the code written for the Tegra gives better performance than running on a different chipset maybe, but not if the code is written to work on all... I personally believe Tegra are building there own gaming market so that HW companies will move to there chipset, but that's bad (I can think of stronger words!) and it's not the Android way!

I agree, that's what they are trying to do but the Tegra chip is a dual core 1GHz which gives better performance then just a single core 1GHz.

I know it has been asked since the release of the PSX4droid if a PS2 (or possibly a game cube) emulator would be possible on our android phones. Of course we do not currently have that capability.
However with the advent of these new dual core phones I am wondering if these would be possible. Let's just hope someone other than Zodttd makes a port so it is supported. I also wonder if the extra core would make some games which are unplayable on the PSX4droid playable.
Which cores are dueling?
Cpu 1 vs Cpu 2 Who will win this fight?
U mean Dual Core and we can play PSx Games on our Desires!
And this Answer your question in future we can play PSX Games because we can do it right now ;-)
I wonder what effect dual CPU's will have on the battery life?

That was my first question too
Well.. yeah.. battery would be interesting..
But I thought I heard Samsung would be the first to release them.. and.. as I think 1Ghz by now is quite fast.. I wonder about GPU improvements..

Ps1 games somewhat work. You cant beat any of the Final Fantasy series without using a PC at some point
I am interested if a PS2 will work though as well.

Samsung's Dual Core CPU will have a good battery life they said. As when there ain't much to do, both cores ain't gonna be running.
cause on my galaxy s i can now play snapdragon and tegra apps
cause maybe then we might not need gameloft tegra apps any apps will work
yes buddy, chainfire works very well in a lot of games...try newest version with qualcomm and powervr plugins...and read THIS awesome 3ad created by philburkardt to know how versions\games\tricks to do to have fully working games!
Transformer TF101 already have a high end processor (NVIDIA Tegra Dual-Core) ..can anyone tell me why we need chainfire?isn't our (TF101) processor cant support HD games?i'm new to this device..thanks in advance.. ^^

Chainfire works fine on the Transformer. However, it hasn't helped with any Gameloft games, so far. I pretty much comb the web in search of working Gameloft versions, and have tried MANY combinations of apk, SD data, and Chainfire, for multiple games.
If you try, and manage to get anything working with Chainfire, please let me know. I would love some more playable games.

Because there are still versions of some app/games that only work with Qualcomm or PowerVR chips.

I personally am going to stick with Tegra. The Tegra specific games always look great and run smooth. Plus with Tegra 3 on the way, we're looking at console quality graphics in our pocket/bag.

a complete answer for me..thanks again phil..
For anyone who doesn't know the tf700t houses the best CPU that there is a 1.6Ghz quad core that goes up to 1.9Ghz on a single core, 1 gig of ram 1666Mhz DDR3 which is also the best, and you get (correct me here I'm not 100% sure) a new GPU to keep up with the new resolution( its clocked at the same speed as the prime ~500Mhz but the GLbenchmark off screen shows great improvements, so maybe new GPU ? Also take note that geforce ulp is a geforce so the architecture is different from all other mobile gpus ( Mali, powervr ..etc) so we may not have seen what this GPU can fully do) hope this cleared out the GPU-resolution problem

The cpu is actually my biggest concern about the TF700. Sure, its top of the line... but what other devices are using it?
The biggest issue I have with my Atrix is that its variant of the Tegra 2 isn't seeing a lot of good developer support. While there's plenty of great ICS roms for tegra 2 tablets, the drivers in those arent usable by the Atrix and as such our ICS roms are held together with bubble gum and fishing wire.
I'm willing to take a chance on the TF700 since Asus is pretty good about updates. ICS was also a huge update over GB, so hopefully now that that transition has occurred we can use older drivers on newer releases. But its still something to take notice of.

The kernel allows 1.9ghz but for that you need root. 1.6 is where its at for stock. The I don't think the gpu is different. And I think because all the versions of the tegra 3 have the same architecture so I think you can optimize for all 3 at once.
P.S. getting this tablet in 23 days can't wait.

the gpu is different, you get higher off screen benchmarks score, and when i run antutu it says 1.9Ghz but yeah it may be 1.6Ghz and then 1.7Ghz on one core

Get the galaxy s3. Trust me. You will regret not getting it! In america, it has 1.5 GHz processor with 1 gig of ram. It's also quad core. Everywhere else in the world, it's 1.5 GHz with 2 gigs of ram. This one is dual core. This is currently the greatest phone available.
REMEMBER TO SAY THANKS IF I HELPED OR INSPIRED YOU IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, the american version of the S3 has a dual-core and 2GB of RAM. The international version is the one with the quad-core and 1GB of RAM.
As for a gaming mobile, I guess the S3 would be a great choice. And there is also the Xperia Play, which is more like a real gaming cellphone and there are many games optimized for it, including PlayStation games. But I think it has a single core processor.

Go with a HTC One X with the Tegra 3. Many games are optimized for Tegra processors as Nvidia has exclusive connections with them.
u can try HTC evo 3D or SGSIII or HTC One X

Not true. tegra games actually make themselves play worse or with worse graphics when they detect you are not using a tegra CPU. If you trick the game into believing your processor is a tegra, then it will play with all the spoils.

I am looking for a budget tablet in my country that can run most recent GPU/CPU intensive games fluently on low settings and I've found 3 of the most popular SoC's that are sold in tablets in my country.
Tegra 3(T33)
Intel Atom Z3745
Cortex-A9 + Mali-400/450(both with 4 cores)
Which of these SoC's could run most GPU/CPU intensive games fluently today?
You can, of course, make your own suggestions.
Its tegra only.
Intel is made for better smothness in perdormance not for graphics quality.
And malinia just fine . i am having a mali 400 with quad core and run almost all games fine.
But tegra is the best of all

Smoothness in performance?
Yes smoothnesa in performance a less laggy device.
Smothness in graphics means less blirs in display
Blirs are edgs of any curved object not perfectly drawn.

Ah, well, I don't care much for graphics so I guess Intel is also decent for me.
Also, just a suggestion but check your grammar before posting.
Intel is not good. My friend have one with more powerful specs from my device but fails to run games which my device run smothley after amall twicks
Specs don't show everything.
Hmm but processor and am and gpu is all required for gaming
Yes.
So basically you should go for the tegra one

Just don´t use Intel.
Intel chipsets are powerfull but their 3D performance is pretty bad.
And developers don´t really like them because they become very fast unsupported.
Source: My Galaxy Tab with Intel SoC
Go to a good big and famous shop
They provide full handsets for testing so choose an intel and a tegra and test these to your satisfaction and i can garentee you that you will love tegra one
It'd be a Tegra or Mali
