Yeah, I just got a sprint text message about this. I'm running CM6 though.
I'm in the process of nandroid backuping now, then install a sense rom to update, then nandroid back.

Actually I just got the new PRL 60773 through my phone updates.

Im curious about the people who made fun of the person, as I am new to the forums, where should the post of this thread have posted this thread since you say that he posted it in the wrong area?
Also, I am not running the new PRL either so obviously there are a few people who would find this information very useful.

I'd guess the "General" section. This area is strictly for development (i.e., ROMs, kernels, etc).

I am sorry if it is a late news. I just got a text message from Sprint with info, so I thought it is a new update. Just trying to be helpful, since I used so much help from XDA forums.

My Verizon App Missing?

I usually check once a week to see if the My Verizon app has been updated, but I cannot find it... I am on Ginger Remix so maybe I can't see it because of that? Can someone with froyo check?

I am completely stock and havent been able to find it for several days. I am guessing it has been updated in the market as not being available for the Thunderbolt since it did not work on our phone anyway.

Droid-life.com has a working version.

The salient question is why would Verizon block owners of their flagship phone (okay, maybe the Droid Charge is that now, with the "Droid" branding") from the app at all, let alone for so long. Damn phone's been on the market for 10 weeks now and still no TB-compatible MyVerizon app. Very weird.

The release is a verizon apk, however they have not released it because they do not want LTE users usage to be changed by having their current usage easily accessible. It will help them price out the tiered plans that we are getting this summer.

Uhm no... Usage is just as easily accessible without the app. The same number of steps as if you are checking on WiFi. From what I have read it works on the other 4G devices but the bolt. If they are doing what you are saying then they should not have theirs working either.

Darkcharge's developer, BBCrackman, who also happens to own mydroidworld.com, has been working on an update but has been very busy. You can visit the website and see the thread for yourself.
The ROM itself is great. I had it from its original release until the 2.3.6 leak came out and NEVER had an issue with it. Not sure where you're seeing all of this negative feedback.
If DarkCharge gets an update to the OTA, I will most definitely be trying it out.

These types of comments are why I'm glad they closed it! When a stable ice rom is ready for public testing they will open a new thread.

You are glad they closed it because I made a comment about them not being like most typical developers and ignore a question already answered? I never used the rom, I understood that it wasn't ready
. You do understand though that these guys aren't the only developers in the world right? All it takes is ignoring the dumbasses like yourself and answering important questions. I enjoy the phone I have and could hardly care if they get an ics out first or if the cm team does. I am patient and have no reason to be impatient

I guess I can ask Santa to get us ICS for Christmas........I realized the pain and amount of time a person has to spend to develop a rom. But some people don't understand the time they take to develop these roms. Kudos to the developers at xda.

Need Beta Testers for ICS G2X.

As far as I know Cyanogen is making a ice cream sandwich build and it is currently in alpha. This is for the g2x. We have other developers working on the optimus 2x and are relatively in the same situation.
No one seems to be able to get sound and camera working. I recently found out that CM now has sound working, but still no camera. Almost everything else is working
. So the ueation arises... Where is it? If your looking for a copy of it, I'm sorry to tell you that it is not available for just anyone.
It is however available for a limited number of people... 20 actually. Everything is working on my build!!!! But it needs some stability so I'm looking for some beta testers who have a g2x and an active carrier.

Everybody knows the O2x version will not work on the G2x. Also a leak from LG. Don't think so.
