Please forgive me ahead of time for I am a developer here.
As far as I know Cyanogen is making a ice cream sandwich build and it is currently in alpha. This is for the g2x. We have other developers working on the optimus 2x and are relatively in the same situation.
No one seems to be able to get sound and camera working. I recently found out that CM now has sound working, but still no camera. Almost everything else is working
. So the ueation arises... Where is it? If your looking for a copy of it, I'm sorry to tell you that it is not available for just anyone.
It is however available for a limited number of people... 20 actually. Everything is working on my build!!!! But it needs some stability so I'm looking for some beta testers who have a g2x and an active carrier.
To apply for beta testing, please email me telling me the following info..

There are a number of bugs to be worked out. The reason I have this build is because I have a connection with one of the developers at LG and he sent me the O2X version and some other drivers...
If you have any questions you can follow me on twitter

Do we need to include our Mobile Number? I'm uncomfortable with sharing that over the internet to a stranger. I really would like to try ICS though :/

Fresh out of the weekend since their support page was updated. A 5-3 release makes sense. Hopefully the radio version is different than the leak, which is reboot happy due to the radio. Software versions match though.
Thanks for the details. I look forward to the official, the leaked was not very stable.

I also have access to phones a few days before they are released so if there is anything i can do to help the community, please let me know. i have a thunderbolt, and being an employee, i can have my phone replaced whenever needed so i am willing to try pretty much anything (guinea pig anyones software). so if any dev wants me to try something i am more than welcome to.

They're prolly busy being excited about CM7.
via LG G2x
CM7 for G2x isn't ready for primetime yet. Just flashed it and had many issues. Had to go back to stock.
The gingerbread build seems just about complete besides the camera app.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
I know. just saying people would prolly care more if CM7 weren't around. if I've learned one thing about xda its buggy cm7 keeps people happier than no cm7.
I would like to flash this leaked build as well .
...
Maybe people are wising up and are finally deciding not to start yet another speculation thread...
It's not a speculation thread if the leak is already out there. Just needs to be posted.

Guy, you really are clueless right now. There's a difference between trying to guess when an update is coming and knowing that a leak is out there but hasn't been posted and asking why not ... Within the Vibrant community when there was even a clue to a leak, people were on it til they found it and it was posted. Didnt matter if it were an early build or not, it was posted for the community. If you don't get that well I can't help you.

I guess it just comes down to a matter of opinion really. I think that its silly to go out asking for the leak because its either with a) someone who can/wants to share it or b) someone who can't/won't. And if the answer was in fact 'a' it would have no doubt reached our doorsteps by now. This is the internet, how much faster do we need it to get to us...
Now all arguments aside. I'm not sure why I targeted this thread in particular but I was bored during break at work and in a sour mood lately thinking about reality. So if I'm off character here or in any way wrong on my thoughts then feel free to ignore me. I guess I was kinda looking for senseless argument from the begining alongside my sour disposition and in that manner I was childish. I apologize for that. I'll back off as I should have never really gossiped here to begin with. Sorry.

Then he said:

Sounds promising. CM7 is great and all, but i myself wouldn't mind playing with a stock GB build either.

Welcome to Android and goodluck with your InFuSe!
I myself was always a Windows Mobile guy up until almost 3 years ago when i got my 1st Android device, an HTC Supersonic aka EVO 4G. Since then its been down hill, very similar to a bad bad Crack addiction, with ROM Flashing as my temporary fixxx.
I like my InFuSe(s), hopefully one day i'll love my InFuSe(s). My only complaint is that it is too new and there is too little going on with the device. Thank god my HTC Desire HD aka Inspire 4G keeps me on my feet and flash-happy, but instantly i miss that HUGE Super AMOLED Plus display and must go back to a bone-stock device.
I bought a 2nd InFuSe to have as a side by side testing device and / or to donate to the right MIUI dev to get us on the MIUI boat and later found out that we need to get CyanogenMod going before we have a chance at MIUI...
Again, good luck with your InFuSe and with Android. I have a lil sayin: "Don't worry, your not gonna break it unless you throw it, frustration is a bicht!"
You should totally think more about donating your extra infuse to a cyanogen mod dev so we can get that ball rolling. That would definitely get some more stuff going on with this phone.

Wow, that would be awesome! Not yet officially supported on our phone according to link. Seems like it would be pretty buggy running on SD.
Somewhat on topic, this is one of the reasons I got an LG phone. I work with VMware products in my job and they've partnered with LG to work on giving users the ability to run a business and personal accounts simultaneously through virtualization. Not 100% sure if it is actually a whole other ROM but it looks like it from the demo. If it's true virtualization for phones, I could see you being able to run multiple ROMs.
Check it out. Might be another option when it comes out:
http://communities.vmware.com/commu.../lg-vmw-partnership-follow-up-with-demo-video
The dev on this sent me an email and said they are working on this device and one of his guys is testing it out now. It should be available soon. The dev was also very helpful and very quick to respond to my email.

I'm pretty sure he's just saying it's the best due to all of it's sources being available which allows it to be updated so frequently.

Thanks to carlsanderson1986 who posted the system folder of ICS prada, we could hopefully get some sort of ICS on the optimus3d
https://rapidshare.com/files/2781060780/system.7z
ps: this is NOT a rom, for developers ONLY!!
pps: Please dont ask for Eta's , or start another thread requesting an eta, when the developers are ready and confident they have a working build im sure they will post it in the "Optimus3d Development" thread
the Prada ICS source has been released , which will help with the porting .http://www.lg.com/global/support/opensource/opensource-detail.jsp
Does this mean ICS today for the Optimus 3D???

Quit*. If you're going to be rude at least use proper grammar. And you can chill out, I don't know what your problem is. I'm just trying to be a little hopeful and Optimistic. I appreciate what these devs are doing to get ics on our phones. Quit being so pessimistic and ruining everybody's curiosity.

Don't ask for ETA. Ever.
Personally, me and a couple devs sat down and thought about starting a build.
We've got a half working kernel, but posts like "eta" always make us feel like dropping the project. It's extremely annoying.

How? If anything that would make me happy that people are excited and curious for the build to come out. Thats what posts are for tbh. To read and ask questions. If it bothers you so much I would just ignore the threads and work. I'm not trying to be rude but I just don't see why people being curious would upset somebody so much they want to drop all their hardwork. Anyways glad for the hard work you all are doing. Keep it up. A lot of people are excited and curious, nothing to get annoyed about.

It's just an etiquette thing towards devs. It's just impolite especially because it'll be out when it's out.

Evanizer, buddy, developers dont like "eta's" because if they answer to one, another pops up asking the same question, plus people use that as a definate and start complaining when its not delivered. When the time is right the developers will give us news, they are giving the most important asset to this community...their time.
All we can do , is give them support and now and again some support ...GOOD LUCK DEVELOPERS!!

Got it. Well then maybe we should just stick to posting in "ICS Dreams", thats the thread I check the most often.
