[Q] does one click lag fix work sidekick 4g - T-Mobile Sidekick 4G

I was wondering if the one click lag fix works on sidekick 4g because i didn't see that great of benchmarks on it

The quadrant scores is about the same as a stock galaxy S w/o lagfix, so its not much slower....I think it may have less ram and screen size, but need official specs.

Epic to Thunderbolt anticipation...

I'm getting ready to switch from Epic to Thunderbolt. But concerned about smaller 1400mah battery and graphical rendering over AMOLED....

Well, then lucky for you that it doesn't have an AMOLED!
Guys going from the Epic to the thunderbolt isnt really a step up.....if you take away the 4G it might be a step down in hardware specs.
Epic is faster, better screen, better GPU (all better but not much better)
I beg to differ with that crappy touchwiz!
well touchwiz is a preference like is sense ui........ but i had the fascinate myself and hated it.....but im a sense ui guy......got the atrix and the blur sux to. lol
Actually ive seen a test of the GALAXY S vs HTC DESIRE HD...... test went back and forth but remember the DESIRE HD was running 2.2 Froyo.....Galaxy S was running 2.1. Also Android runs better on SNAPDRAGON....JIT Compiler has probs on hummingbird processor.

I've seen epic versus Thunderbolt benchmarks, epic has the edge on gpu, but mathematics crunching is faster on Thunderbolt. Then you have the bolts small capacity battery...

The only thing the epic is going to win in is graphics rendering, I had the displeasure of owning one. The bolt will blow it away on overall speed and the samoled screens have the pentile matrix screens so the thunderbolt will have a clearer screen, the LCD is a better screen anyway, look at the retina IPS screen, guess what, it's a LCD. Overall the thunderbolt will be far more user friendly and launch could be delayed due to them putting GB on. The galaxy s line was the biggest waist of potential out there. By far, it's GPU is capable of rendering almost as good graphics as ps3 and better than xbox 1 or ps2. You all shall see, everyone who gets the bolt will love it, especially if u are in a LTE are, where speeds will be as fast or faster than wifi

Sunspider results.. are fantastic.

Using the stock browser.. i'm getting about 4600ish results..
Using Dolphin Mini i've hit a crazy 39XX score... this is the fastest stock Android phone i've ever seen/researched. The only other phone that gets CLOSE to these scores is the MyTouch 4G.
My previous Fascinate on a custom kernel at 1ghz set to performance mode (forcing to 1ghz fulltime) is only scoring 59XX..
i bet an overclocked Hummingbird at 1.3ghz still can't touch the stock Thunderbolt.
This is amazing!
Thoughts?
I hate to burst your bubble but I just ran a 4123ms Sunspider on my Nexus S running cm7 on 1Ghz stock kernel. I'm considering switching to Verizon though for the Thunderbolt. I'm particularly interested in how the screen is, and mainly the black levels.
Edit: just ran at 1.4Ghz for comparison purposes at got a 3154. The Glacier overclocks very well so the Thunderbolt should be able to put up some good numbers as well.

[Q] Going to T-Mobile... G2X or Sensation???

Hi Guys... I have a bit of a predicament here. I will be switching to T-Mobile soon, and I need to figure out what phone to get! Basically it boils down to the Sensation or the G2X. Both of them now officially have Gingerbread, with the G2X being stock Android.
Originally I thought that the Sensation would be the sure choice due to it having 768mb of RAM instead of 512mb and because of the qHD screen.
BUT, as I've been researching more and more, I am seeing a lot of reports on how the Sensation screen isn't that great and can look washed out, and worse yet, I see a LOT of reports that the battery life is AWFUL.
I have tried to find more information on the G2X screen but other than it being LCD and 800x480. But I don't know if this is just me, but of the videos and images I've seen of the G2X, I almost have the impression that the contrast ratio and brightness of its screen is better than the Sensation. Has anybody compared them side by side? What do you think about this?
Two other things that make me lean in the direction of the G2X would be that the Sensation has only 1GB of internal storage and the G2X has 8gb, with both having microSD. And also I believe that the Tegra 2 GPU in the G2X is quite a bit better than the Adreno 220 in the Sensation.
So I am totally stuck now and can't make up my mind I'd love to hear input from you guys, especially if you've used both phones side by side (and if you've used gingerbread on the G2X even better!)
Vibrant 4G. We dont have official GB but we just got a great leak and devs are about to start building off of it

No thanks... I currently have a Galaxy S and am looking to upgrade to a dual core phone. And I've had too many issues with the GPS on my Mesmerize (which I rely on heavily). If we were talking about the Galaxy S II that would be different, but it isn't an option unless I want to spend a lot of money for an unlocked phone.

I was talking about the SGS4G not the II but i havent had an issue with the gps on this and if you compare all three of these phone, most people will tell you to get the 4G. And tmobile is getting the Hercules which is dual core. I believe ig should come out next month

IMO the Sensation hands down. The G2x does run a lot smoother than I had anticipated but the Sensation is made by a better company and I personally can't get over the look of the screen on the G2x. It looks so thick and plastic-y

I prefer the g2x. I had the GS4g it is reall slow compared to all the dual core ones coming out.
I do currently have the sensation though, I had a problem with the g2x replacement that was sent to me from t-mobile and decided to just sell it and buy one.
G2x is a lot faster and has stock which is awesome, but Sensation has better build quality/bigger screen.
G2X has way better support for games, the sensation is lagging behind, even though its packed with specs it can't really use it.
Sensation's camera is WAY better than the G2X.

I think the g2x screen is better, it has way better contrast. The sensation colors and clarity are sort of washed out.
I'm still saying wait for the Hercules (i believe it releases next month, they pushed it back) or the Ruby

[Q] Is the Galaxy S II faster than our G2x?

I am talking mainly about the TMobile version (but I assume the international SII and the TMobile SII are the same).
T-Mobile version is slower then international version and att/sprint as they have the better exynos CPU, T-Mobile has the overclocked snapdragon CPU which is showing its age and semi laggy. I would say g2x is better then tmobiles GS2 but not the exynos phones.

THANKS !!!
I doubt you can tell a difference in real world performance. Even with Exynos.
Depends on what you're gonna be using it for. The g2x and its tegra 2 are probably gonna whoop gsII butt when it comes to game play and graphics rendering. But in everyday performance like scrolling, opening and switching between apps, loading Web pages, downloading stuff, the gsII is NOTICEABLY faster than g2x in my experience. I remember a lot of lag on my g2x during menial tasks, and i see little to none on my current HTC sensation. But i really miss the g2x IPS display ..
By far yes. My gf's stock unrooted AT&T SGSII destroys my G2x with CM7/Faux Kernel in every department.

Nexus S ICS vs. competition

What are the feelings on the Nexus S with ICS versus other high performing devices like GS2, RAZR, Amaze, etc.? Has anyone gone "backwards"? Do you miss the dual core?

nexus s ftw hahaha
Friend of my got a SGS2, my Nexus S is running alot faster (with ICS) than his device..
So no way, I don't need a Dual Core device!
Sgs2 blows the nexus s out of the water.

SgsII also has aspect of **** ass touchwiz running on the constant, which hinders it a bit. Although I'm sure the dual cores and extra power over our lovely nexus make up for that.
Follow the leader @corythug
Lol touchwiz on a gs2 doesn't hinder it...at all. It smokes my Nexus s 4g. I love my nexus...but gs2 w Mali beatsmy phone to death
Same my cousin has a sgs2 and its must so fast

B4 i switched to ICS i was running Miui with the trinity 1544 kernel and my NS4G would score higher than my rooted oc'd 1.6 dual core GS2.. I would get consistent 5000+ on my NS4g and my GS2 gets around 4400's

I could care less about an io hack haha. Stock for stock my ns4g doesn't compare to a sprint gs2. Period.
I'm all too familiar w trinity. The 25 mflops. The buss speed increase. Hell i can input a command to trick quadrant into producing ridiculous numbers. I hope you don't think I am arguing w you when I say that the et4g Or gs2 on sprint is superior currently in terms of hardware and speed to almost every other android in production right now.
We purchased ours due to my wife releasing her epic 4g from an 8 foot drop to concrete. I don't care if it ever gets ics. On gb it easily surpasses my ns4g and her old epic w ease. I'm amazed it doesn't get more attention than the countless reviews pointing out all the sweet stuff it does. We have 0 Los issues and for me, until a better phone (in terms of hardware) comes out I am 100% content w it. I can't compare a modded nexus to the gs2 due to the fact that even my ns4g, at the time, running 4800 quadrants (which are meaningless due to massive io hack) still couldn't compete w its bigger more powerful counterpart. Its like comparing and Xbox to an Xbox 360
Bump... Anyone else ? What about things like camera quality, battery life, standard performance?

Not sure why would anyone want to go back.
I want to upgrade to an Galaxy Nexus, but I don't see myself coming back to the NS after that. Something better in the future, definitely. But no NS once I upgrade.
I know it's not really the same but when I had my ns with ics yea it was good but traded it for a focus flash and I feel like ics can't compare to Mingo.

I had a HTC Sensation till last week and now I use a Nexus S with ICS as daily driver.
The Sensation was really fast under CM7, but my Nexus S is smoother under ICS. I think that the ICS release for Sensation will be very fast, but I really hate Sense, and I wanted a stock ICS which is designed for my phone, not a custom ROM.
I really don't miss my Sensation !
The gs2 is so fast I can imagine what ics will do
