Bug discovered? - T-Mobile LG G2x

So aside from the backlight problem everyone's having (replacement will be delivered monday), I noticed that wifi crapped out on me early on, to the point that my DL's were about 2-300 KB/s and uploads were at about 700KB/s. Factory reset fixed this.
Fast forward a few more hours, I decided to view some youtube clips via the youtube app and the issue occurred again, and that's when I remembered that when this happened the first time, I was using the youtube app.
It seems like using the Youtube app on this phone completely cripples the speed of a wifi transmission --possibly even 2G/3G/4G (wasn't able to test).
Factory reset fixes this. Can anyone else test this out to confirm if it might be happening on multiple phones?

What are the bandwidth speed caps on your wifi? What is your normal down and up speed?

no caps on wifi, I setup QoS filtering to prioritize my xbox 360 and flash applications. It's a Linksys G router 54 Mbps with Tomato firmware
normal speeds provided by ISP is 13-16 down and 1-2 up on an average day.

Alright I just tested and before using youtube this is what I get on speed test (mbps):
wifi:16 down, 1 up
4g:4 down, 1.3 up
then I ran a video on youtube:
wifi: 21 down, 1 up
data: 4.6 down, 1.1 up
Youtube didn't affect my data speeds. You should call t-mobile CS because the issue you're facing doesn't seem normal(continues after factory reset)

Internet Connectivity issue after 3.1 update

Anyone else having issues with internet connectivity after the 3.1 update? None of the other devices on my network are having any sort of issues. I've already tried to remove my router and readd it again but no dice. Sometimes I need to refresh webpages 3-4 times before they come up, and simple websites too.....like Google.
edit: I see the icons on the WiFi icon blinking......but webpages aren't loading. Tested the YouTube app and videos take forever to load. Also tested in DolphinHD and Opera and they're having connectivity issues also.
no problem for me. Do a cold reboot

Yeh, I tried that too. I guess I'll see if the problem goes away in the next day or so, otherwise I'll go find some instructions on restoring the machine to default. Good thing i've been too lazy to load all my apps and data on this puppy lol....too lazy and busy just playing with the damn thing lol.
No problem here. I just update about 2 hours ago. WiFi has been online w/o interruptions.
My problem is that it wont see all wifi networks available! ? e.g I know at the office there are 2 wifi routers to connect too, it will see one but not the other and the one it sees it won't connect too?!
Ideas anyone?
Plus there is no option for setting a static ip with 3.1
Just a thought, I am sure I saw that the TF cannot detect WiFi channel 13. Is there a chance that those office routers use channel 13?
I had a problem connecting to my router. I just went into the network settings and "forgot" my network. Waited a minute and the transformer detected it and connected fine.
Same here: after a few hours, the wifi activity icon blinks merrily away, but zero actual connectivity!
I had to switch to airplane mode and back again for it to work.
Sadly, it's already happened twice since this the 3.1 update earlier today!!!
haha so I'm not the only one and I'm not crazy after all!
I'm getting an issue where the wifi indicator turns white but the arrows keep blinking. I have to log off then log back on for the indicator to turn blue and the data to start flowing. Pretty lame. All other phones, comps, and I pods are connecting to the router fine.

Seem to be having a wireless problem

OK I have been trying to diagnose why downloads on my Tablet are unusually slow all of a sudden. For the first two weeks I had no problems but now downloads aren't as snappy anymore and the youtube app barely keeps up with the video.
I tried a multitude of things... changing the wireless channel, setting it to 5 Ghz, settings the power of the transceiver to default. All still give me strange download speed 5ghz was better but not where it used to be.
So then I opened the terminal emulator in Rom Toolbox and started pinging the router. Well what I found confused me even more.
I set the ping tool to ping 10 times. The first ping was fine about 8ms and it will steadily climb over the next 4 ping to 110ms! Then after that high ping it will drop back down to about 8ms again and steadily climb back to the 100s.
I don't get it what would cause this? This router isn't even 4 months old!
And just to verify I went on my laptop (wireless) to ping the router just to make sure nothing weird was happening and every single ping was 3 or 4 ms.
Well OK I figured it out. Apparently the GT 7 Plus doesn't like a channel width of 40mhz. At 20mhz it happily downloads anything. The pings are still quite high though but at least it doesn't take 3 minutes to download 10 megabytes on this thing anymore.

Random WiFi slow down

I'm noticing strange WiFi issues, in that my data speeds keep slowing down to a standstill for no reason.
In fact, when I first booted the device, and started to install my apps, I wondered why there were downloading so slowly, so I installed "SpeedTest" and sure enough my data speeds were like 1.5mbps. To test that my network hadn't just suddenly gone crazy, I ran the test from my laptop and that confirmed normal speeds.
To remedy this, I changed my advanced wifi settings to just use the 2.4 ghz signal, then changed my router settings (a BT Home Hub 3) from smart wireless (auto changes channel to the "best" channel to just remain on that already pre determined best channel.
I then immediately saw an improvement, as it was downloading now at about 27mbps... and so I thought I'd cracked it.
Apparently not.... It regularly goes back to downloading really slowly, and sometimes, messing with all those settings again doesn't do anything to improve the speeds.
Anyone else experiencing this, or has any insights as to what is going on? could it be a wifi driver issue, which may be rectified in later updates or baseband versions?
Here are some pics to give you an idea... all from the same network
Back to awesome after changing router security settings... I wonder how long it will last this time?

Exactly the same for me:

I'm being sent a replacement but I can't say I'm convinced that one will be any different.
This issue occurred on my BT home hub, a tp-link access point, and the access points where I work.

Android M on Nexus 5 consumes all my home Wi-Fi bandwidth

This is my story:
I have finally fixed my Nexus 5 that had a broken motherboard issue since Septamber 2015 (I didn´t find anyone who could fix it here in Uruguay).
Once It turned on it connected to my home's Wi-Fi and starting suggesting uploads. And I did, first to Android M, then January 2016 fix, then February's and March's.
And then after waiting for all the apps to update, I started using it.
I quickly noticed the battery drain regarding wifi and I looked up in the forums and fixed it (i think). But then some other things came up, but, the most important is:
When I connect my phone to my home Wi-Fi, it just takes all the bandwidth, and if I do an adsl test on my pc, it displays the downloading speed down to 1.x instead of 15.x Mbps.
Thing is, when I am connected, even the internet speed of my phone is slow. and when I turn Wi-Fi off on my phone, my pc´s Wi-Fi´s speed is back to 15.x Mbps, and my phone on LTE has a normal internet traffic.
I have tried to search for this issue over the internet, but maybe it is a translation issue not finding the right word, but only the "battery drain due to wifi issue on android" comes up.
Any clue?
Thanks.

Wifi problem in New oxygen os 9.0

When i connect to my wifi i get good speeds for certain time.... Then after a few seconds i get very bad speeds... And then my speeds increases again and so on....
Anyone facing same issue?
Any fixes?
I had this problem too after updating but it seems to have fixed itself. Might help clearing cache from recovery or even factory resetting the phone. Also do you have Magisk or other mods?
I had this issue where if I rebooted I'd get quick speeds for a few seconds (just under 200Mbps) then it would drop to less than 5Mbps from then on. I ended up having to roll back to Android 8 (after wiping cache, resetting network settings, etc.) which has fixed it.
So I am also getting this but I think I know what it is.
At work I have to connect to a wifi network, then log in on a website.
Before the update as soon as I connected to the wifi I'd have no internet access until I signed in.
Now with 9 it continues to use the mobile data even after logging in. I actually have to turn off mobile data for it to switch to wifi. If I don't then I get the issue you all are having. When connected to wifi with mobile data off the speeds are consistent.
I have this exact issue. Sometimes I get my full wifi speed (100 Mbit) and then it drops to 0.5 and keeps on going up and down.
I've been having this same issue on 9.0.2, only on the 5ghz network though. Happens at my house, but not at work.
