[Q] Is it possible to record calls in Xperia Play? - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

Hi, I've tried Total Recall but it can't record calls properly, only records my voice (can't hear the voice of the other person). Tried different options of application and none of them worked except turning on speaker .
Have somebody been able to record calls with other software?

I would like to BUMP up this thread although its old because I search the same kind of software.
Any news to that?

Try this. Never try before but most comments are positive.

you may try this

Sorry, that I posted maybe this in the wrong section but I used the search button and this was the only one that had the same specific interests as I did.
Thanks, for the link, but does it really support Line calls?

If it's bootloader unlocked you can flash doomkernel v14 and then call recorders will work.

Dont you lose your warranty if you unlock the bootloader with an other custom rom?

I'm using call recorder it works really well and everything is recorded clearly, but you need to have a kernel that has 2-way call recording implemented i.e. Doomkernel

Is there any chance to lose the warranty if I install your Kernel?
I have seen that they are easy to Install but if I do that, what kind of benefits will I get from? Besides doing a 2 way recording

Well if your bootloader is unlocked then your warranty is already gone! but with one installed you get more than just call recording ability your able to overclock the cpu, its auto-rooting, has cwm embedded into the kernel, and more just head over to the dev section and check out his thread he's got a list of everything that is in the kernel. Its a pretty big list

Ok.... now what is bether a rom or a kernel??
Because the rom changes completly the function of the phone and the Kernel keeps the same version but unlocks a couple of featueres that the phone could have. I will look into MIUI roms but I am not sure because of the warranty... and besides I am a noob regarding things like flashing customizing phones...

it does not include the other bug fixes that is coming for nexus one..
this is gtalk video and audio chat,..........
ENJOY.....
DOWNLOAD

i guess no..
its the same version...
just the flashable via recovery.....version...
Summary of Gtalk 1.3 issues: (for those who wonder if it's worth it).
- Video/Voice from other party is visual/audible.
- Video from your side is broken (other side just see your google account avatar)
- Theoretically to enable voice calls to your phone you need to click on your status and tick the allow video/voice calls.
- Initiating calls to your phone isn't possible (you can't call from a computer to your phone).
- Initiating call from nexus to nexus (or other phones which I assume aren't nexus s with official google rom) isn't possible. your phone or the other phone won't be shown as voice call available.
To sum it up,
It's a nice "preview" but far than being truly worth switching to at this state.
most video/audio functionality is broken for real use (unless you want it to call people with computers for talking with them and watching them... that's the only thing).
The good thing is it's not worse than the older gtalk so the standard gtalk functionality won't be worse .
Thanks for the upload.
1. It running fine on my GRI40 stock and rooted N1.
2. Unfortunately, it cannot receive Google Voice connection; to replace my Gizmo5 sip forwarding.
3. The good thing is, I can use it via 3G connection
Tq.

The latest nightly is probably 2.3.4 too now though. Just check build.prop before flashing if you want to be sure.

Find it, flash it and EVERYTHING will work.
Got it running on CM7.0.2.1 but can't get any video or voice connection even with the May 3rd gapps.
From the browser, it shows my phone does not support voice or video. On the phone it just tries to connect for voice, but FC when I try to open a video chat.

[Q] Stock Camera App

When I playback video that I had recorded, it displays very small and only gives an option to stretch the playback extremely to fill the screen. I've noticed that the camera app is not the same pretty one that I am seeing on youtube.
Here a pic of my G2x camera.

I'm running 2.3.3
I have done a factory reset and no change
I have tried recording at all resolutions and no change
How can I fix this?
Did you recently update the phone, or did this just happen out of no where?
I bought it used and didn't update anything. I remember the camera looking like this when I got it before I did a factory reset.
Have you tried downloading different camera apps from the market to test?
If still nothing works then you probably have to replace the camera. It isn't hard to do though.

No worries, at this point I'm not too sure whether you're rooted your device or not.
If not, google rooting Android and decide if you wanna carry on that way. Same applies for flashing CWM/mods/ROMs, as buru stated as well, google it and decide whether it is for you or not.
As for CWM recovery, check this thread:

Ok we need more info about your phone, if you are on official ROM or a custom ROM
and what applications you use.
You could try rooting your phone if its not already rooted and install CWM .
After you install cwm take a backup and factory reset your phone.
Try it without any 3rd party apps for a day and see if it still "plays music on its own".
You could also try a v21E based Custom ROM and check if your phone still does that..
The problen is maybe with some app that you have installed. In the app manager look what applications are working in the background and you will find a cause of you problem...

Did you have earphones plugged in at the time?
If you're cable is somewhat loose, it sometimes begins playing music as it does so by default when you plug in earphones.
For that there's an app: DisableAutoPlay which I used when getting that auto play.

[Q] how to and what to do?

okay my aunt has an
AT&T LG Phoenix P-505 phone with Android 2.2 on it (Here is the phone)
i was thinking of putting JellyBean on it from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811325
BUT i dont know what i need or what to do for this phone............... PLEASE help with step-by-step of how to........ i would like everything to be on the Micro SD-card (like the Nook color can be), if it can't be than thats fine!. like i said i am in need of a step-by-step how to
Please & Thanks
A step by step guide will be unlikely. Making a rom comes from experience and knowledge. It will take alot of work to get that done on your aunts phone. Honestly i don't think its worth it, there is so much involved in trying to develop a rom for a phone. I would just experiment with the phone, do some theming and become use to how the phone works and functions, remember...its all experience

i don't know how to or where to get the stuff to do it, i found a little guide(HERE) and where you download the CM10 rom from is here same for its "source" of the info on there..... but it nor here tells me or helps point me to where i can get ClockworkMod Recovery installed to be able to root it(dont know if thats needed or not)...... so thats why im looking for help
my aunts phone has a mind of its own.... removes photos, music, contact and so-on when ever it wants turned on & turned off, but if i was to root it with cm10 i know it would fix it all(the phone has been used by many ppl in her family that have messed it up)
Well

Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
thanks for the info
what are the downfalls/cons of rooting this?(im the type of person who likes to know what the outcome can become)
Advantages
1)You can install a custom ROM
2) You can upgrade or downgrade your phone
3)You can link apps to SD or make a part of your SD card internal memory
4)Performance will be better than stock ROM
Disadvantages
1)You can Soft brick your phone
But you can also unbrick by some methods (This will happen if you don't follow instructions carefully )
2) You can hard brick your phone
(You will have to buy another phone or replace your motherboard)
3)You void your warranty by rooting.
