Hi,
I fuond a bug (I'm not so sure it is a bug) in Gingerbread: my P920 stays on my bed and suddenly my phone play music... I don't lauch a music app (stock music app, or PowerAmp). I don't think this is normal

Well, I'm not stupid to ask for that... No one was calling, no music app was launched and no alarm - that is strange...
Its a phantom call. But realy. Google it. You'll see.

Ok we need more info about your phone, if you are on official ROM or a custom ROM
and what applications you use.
You could try rooting your phone if its not already rooted and install CWM .
After you install cwm take a backup and factory reset your phone.
Try it without any 3rd party apps for a day and see if it still "plays music on its own".
You could also try a v21E based Custom ROM and check if your phone still does that..
The problen is maybe with some app that you have installed.In the app manager look what applications are working in the background and you will find a cause of you problem...

I use stock 21e and is rooted... For back up and factory reset - don't try yet because I hope there's another way fix this problem, but I will try it. Thanks for help!

Did you have earphones plugged in at the time?
If you're cable is somewhat loose, it sometimes begins playing music as it does so by default when you plug in earphones.
For that there's an app: DisableAutoPlay which I used when getting that auto play.

just a FYI the SGS tools app which allows you to replace your tw launcher, email, contacts, and gallery app works for our sgs 4G. i have tried em all (upgrade stock apps) and can confirm they are all working. If you want to go back the scripts dont work, but you just need to move the stock apk back from sd>sgstools>xxx.apk into system>app> using root explorer or similar... and it will revert. also the boot up/down sounds can be disabled through the app

If I had to guess the email app on there that is made for the tab will get really buggy when used with exchange. Crazy thing is, it takes a few days to show up. You may have better luck on this device. But my vibrant didn't like it..
Lastly, make back ups of the apps your gonna try and switch using this app. Easiest way titanium backup. That way you get your app back that's optimized for 2.2.1.
Might not make a difference. But never hurts to put a back up on your external

My problemw with titianium backup is that it dosn't actually backup the system apps, just it's data
I just tried to use my FFC after the camera hack & it does not work anymore, it says camera failed. I tried to restore from Titanium and copied the .apk from the sgstool back up with no luck.
Anyone else having the same issue? I just flashed the Krylon's stock + root rom and did a factory reset but the issue is still there. Do you think I can pull the files from a system dump to remedy?

Try flashing the deodexed version 1.9.. when Odin reboots you into factory recovery do the factory reset. And then reboot.

Thanks Aloneinshadow, but I had the dump from a previous post. I pushed datapattern_420sp.yuv & datapattern_front_420sp.yuv to /system/cameradata along with restoring camera.apk & camerafirmware.apk to /system/app and rebooted with no luck. BUT when I ran Tango and used the FFC it worked and fixed my issue. I do not know why but its fixed now. Im never going to use SGSTools again unless its made for KB5.

Ok thank God I was able to revert my camera back, the hacked camera didn't allow me to record videos. Quick question, why is it that our phones don't have autofocus for video recording but all over YouTube there are vibrants that have it?

Mine doesn't have autofocus, it does only for taking pictures but not video....I've tried it soo many times and while recording video the focus never changes, it just stays fixed.

I'm kind of a silent user in this forum & never had an issue with my sensation 4g,but now, a weird problem happened when I tried to record a video,when I hit record ,the camera app just freezes & doesn't record a thing & all the onscreen buttons don't work ,also the back button doesn't work & to get out of the camera I have to hit home, I end up with a corrupt video file.
I've searched for a week but no luck & it really bugs me.
any help is appreciated.
I'm running Android revolution hd 6.6.2,ICS 4.0.3 ,Sense 3.6.

reflash your rom again with full wipe
do a nandroid backup first just in case
or if you have patience wait for someone else to provide you better solution
thanks ,that's what I was afraid of, it actually worked fine before & I don't know why it stopped working,I hate reflashing the rom cause all my business apps are on my phone now & it's pain setting up all those apps again,so I guess I'll wait for someone to come up with a fix.

3rd party apps do the same thing & honestly I can't find that NODGT mod ,searched for it but no luck,could you provide a link for its download if it's no trouble?

definitely not app conflict .. what i think is that drivers are corrupted ..thats why i asked you to run RUU and see
So i been trying to get youtube to work for some time now and it just will not play on what so ever.
I originaly ran into this problem after trying to install pacman rom so i could try the paranoid settings out but then youtube would load and i can see the video thumbnails but when i click a video i see a loading wheel in the middle and then BAMM my phone freezes i cant even press lock screen button nothing happens.
i tried to leave it for a while see if it would load and after around 5 mins my phone (at the back at the side of the cameras where the sim goes) was so hot i couldnt actually hold it for more than a few seconds. i took the battery out for a few mins let it cool down and tried again no success...
things i have already tried and roms i tried also..
CM10 (all nightlies)
JellyBam (Both sable versions)
PACman (The one posted on this forum in dev section)
I have tried to use all varies of DPI from my own 106 tablet to default to paranoid 720px mod
i have tried modified youtube apps. (inverted colors +720p mod)
i have tried to format my.. system/data/cache/factory reset and install each of the above roms fresh.
i tried to remove youtube and install it from market several times
tried to just unpack it change one image repack it and install still nothing
i really love youtube and i just want it to work on my phone again.
if you need any more info ill happily supply it.
AND SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH I AM ENGLISH BUT I AM ILL AND JUST WOKE UP
If i am right, youtube is using a lot of you're ram space.Its just a guess but maybe you can check it?

Try tapping(touching the screen) constantly on the video (while it's loading) until it starts playing. It's a workaround a lot of us use in the latest cm nightly.

Well kernel fixed YouTube now camera bugged out phone crashes when opening camera from app draw but camera loads from locksecreen left swipe

Heys guys.....need some urgent help. i recently got my samsung infuse rooted. now when i get calls..............i cant hear the person callin and they cant hear me. it really sucks since i'm missin alot of important calls. also i cant seam to stream vids from the internet like before. is there something i need to do. any help greatly appreciated:good::good::good:

to be honest i dont kno. i got a zip file that said infuse root.zip. and erecovery, followed the steps on youtube and i was pleased to see the superuser app on my phone. but since then till now i cant play vids off the net and when i answer my phone or make a call the other person and myself hera absolutely nothing

I checked out qbkings videos and they are all a year old I would suggest checking out this thread its got the easiest method I think to get rooted and cwm recovery included plus it will help you out if you ever get in a jam be sure to read read read

Hi I like this internet radio app called rautemusik its one of my favs and it stopped working for some unknown reason I don't know if I used the app clean master and it messed it up I can't remember but it just stopped working so I updated my phone with the latest cm and it still doesn't work does anyone know how to fix this ?

Can you go into app manager and force close the app, then clear the apps cache. Then go back out and start it up like normal?
Or uninstall and re-install?

Yes I have tried doing this numerous times, I think it may have been clean master i remember it deleting a multimedia folder of some sort calling it a dormant folder... I dunno... I guess im going to odin back to stock and see if my theory is good.

I went back to stock using odin I then reinstalled rautemusik and it still dosen't work, it shows that its playing but there is no sound I have another infuse that I used cleanmaster with and it now won't work with rautemusik either what have I done? I gave clean master root acces and now for some reason the only app that dosen't work after using it is my favorite one can anyone please help me with this I went back to stock and it still dosen't work????

I dint beleive this to be an Odin issue. Why dont you just re-install the app?

I just did... it says the track name I push the play button it looks like its working but no sound? same problem on two infuses one running lastest cm 11 and another on beanstalk. it was working but now it doesn't like I deleted an audio codec by accident or something?
Does anyone please have any suggestion on how to get this app working for me or some steps on reformating the phone to get whatever file it is im missing? I have one rogers and one at&t please anyone? Scott?

If its a absolute "must" that you have this player, try contacting the developer. But with so many music apps out there, I am having a hard time understanding why this is that "must have" app. I was like that with Doubletwist, but I started having some issues on this different device, so I switched. No biggie.
