After seeing the engadget review, I am definitely going to have a transformer wallpaper on my transformer. Trying to find an awesome g1 wallpaper.
Anyone doing the same thing? Maybe had good luck finding one?
Post them here!

Hi,
I'm sorry if this has been discussed before,
I remember seeing on the forum somewhere saying the current keyboard dock will be compatible with future Eeepads, is that true? can someone please find me the article where Asus made that statement? thank you very much.
yes they did confirm that the dock would work with future models and I don't know about a link and Asus wouldn't hevily advertise because that means the current one will be out of date soon
I hope they don't all end up being brown, although a mismatched dock and tablet seems to be worse than not having color choices at all

Never heard this, but now I will def put more of a emphasis on picking up the dock! Thanks for the info guys!

I'm sorry but whats your source for saying "they" confirmed it?
Here are some sites that report it though I can't find an official statement:

i also saw that they said they'd be compatible, but i saw on another forum from an asus rep that they won't be... so i sold mine.
I just received my Asus Transformer from Best Buy, yesterday and noticed it has android 2.2 installed. I was expecting to have honey comb. It almost looks as though I have a test unit. How do I get this thing upgraded?

That's not normal. You can force phone UI but that's not a feature. Is it open box? Previous owner may have fooled with it. If its really 2.2 out of box and its truley a dev unit you may be able to snag a quick buck online
Check version in settings and post.

Go to the dev section, your device could be really useful to the community. Sadly you'll have to return your transformer though.
There is a link in one of the sticky threads with other people that received a TF with Android 2.2 as well. Go read up on it.
edit: link! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078840
I got it directly from Best Buy as soon as stock was available last friday. I didn't even realize that it wasn't Honey Comb, being this is my first tablet. I did notice immediately that there were a bunch of Asus test applications in the app list. I had read that the Asus EEE Transformer Tablet was going to be receiving 3.1 at some point in the future and while I was in the update screen, I noticed it said 2.2 as the version. I took a picture last night and attempted to post it to these forums, but because I rarely post anything, it would not let me do it.
Since it truly is a DEV unit, I'm wondering how much I could possibly sell it for.
I'd also be willing to help out the dev community as much as I can, but I can't hold onto this thing for too long if I really cant get it out of Froyo...
Screenshots
Here is the screen shots... sorry about the quality, but I figured it was legible. I obviously added a bunch of apps, but you can see the test ones included in there as well...
Wow that's neat, go post on the thread above. See what they say. You can potentially contribute allot to the community.

I actually was going to post in that thread, but I do not have enough posts to post in a developer forum. It gives me an error everytime I attempt to do so. A link to this forum would be nice, if you could do that for me.
On second thought, looks like you don't have enough posts either. DOH!
I got one of these units too. Not really helpful for devs now there are dumps. apparently a whole batch at the factory got wrong firmware installed. I had to send mine back..
A while back I started a thread Android vs iOS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1557484) It was quiet controversial and easily got over 100,000 views on YouTube within a few days. One thing I said in those videos was that I prefer the iPad over any Android tablet. Well, after many requests I made a video showing the Good the bad and the ugly. Let me know what you guys think?
Its great man, I love that comparison!
Small request, in the future, can you refrain from using so many transition effects when changing scene, it gets a bit hard to keep up with!
Cheers thanks for the video!

Loved the video, very informative! especially for myself since I've never really used a tablet and I'm still trying to figure out what i want!
Hello,
First I would like to apologize for clogging up the forums lately but I am sure anyone with a faulty deice would know it can be a little hard. I am trying not to get in the way if all of you with pretty good devices. Having said that, I am pretty pedantic and I only really see the fault with the screen, I had it round my family and they say its fine . So although I like it, the novelty has worn off and I just don't think it quite suits my needs. I think I would be better off with something like a nice phone like a Gnex or an S3. So now I have to try and sell this. I was gonna try out the XDA marketplace but 6 months as a member isn't enough. So I will attempt here. 32GB Transformer Pad Infinity without the dock and I will even throw in a case for ideally about $450-$500 AUD. Now all you Americans will think that's too much, well remember we get the $100 price hike and no 32GB model out here. So I know this is a pretty stupid place to post because everyone has an infinity but I really need to get rid of it. Maybe I could make a really good friend and possibly someone could post on behalf of me. That would be really great. Anyway, I will let you guys be the judge.
Sorry if this makes no sense, I hate touch keyboards :-[

Good luck selling it. I'm so sorry that you've had such a bad experience.
Yeah thanks, I want to like it but just can't

congratulations on making the sale! I wish you luck wherever you land.
Hello everyone!
New here, been looking around, reading different things, and don't understand half of all of it. lol, sorry. I'm not familiar with all the different rooting, techniological specs of it. But I do know that this tablet is supposed to be the best on the market. I have a neighbor who is big into android and told me a lot and rooted my Gnex and I fell in love. Had an iPhone, but no where near what I could do with android.
I'm just trying to get a feel for it, and wondering what I can do to make it better, any apps or games that I need?
I got it from Best Buy, and wasn't sure how the return policy works. I know it's like 30 days, but how many exchanges?
There is a little bit of light bleed, but as far as I know, that is all that is wrong. No cracks, no wireless problems, etc.
Anything I need to look for to know if I should return it?
Jelly Bean is coming soon and I'm excited. Project butter is definitely nice.
I want to thank you all in advance for all your help. From what I've read on here, and all over the forums, you guys know your stuff.
I you pan to return it I'd perform a factory reset on it prior to returning it so no personal information is on the tablet.

Welcome on-board!
I'm new myself (relatively) I was never really fascinated with android beyond sharing my wife's Acer tablet.
I didn't want to mess her's up so I bought an Infinity for me.
Joining this board has really made an android junkie out of me.
The knowledge and questions brought from every corner of thought here are just unending.
I always know the answer is here somewhere.
Here's to hoping you'll have great luck with the Asus...

I've been loving my tablet so far... wondering if I should root now, or wait until the Jelly Bean update? But as you've said, this forum has made me an Android junkie.
I had to show my support by purchasing their app a couple years ago. Hopefully one day I can contribute a little more to the forums, but for now I'll just read and follow instructions until I learn a little more about developing

Honestly I'd just wait for Jelly Bean, it's only a few days away. That said, i don't think just rooting will stop the OTA (from what I've read).
