Stupid, I know. But does anybody know how to extraxt the versions of the apps out of a ROM? Then I could compare them myself.

Why not? It does not mean that there is anything new to that ROM in comparision to your 2.10 or what ever. It "could" be that there is something, but it does not have to...
Maybe there is just a newer Google Mail App or something that isn't worth thinking about it (because you can also get it on the market)
But if someone find a way to extract the version numbers we could find out what's new.

things I noticed that seem to be different to (2.10/) 2.29
- new Bootscreen. The letters aren't written like before, they now seem to "fade in"
- in Kernel they set "CONFIG_HTC_OFFMODE_ALARM=y" and "CONFIG_RPC_SIZE_1024=y"
- it is a newer Build (-r7)

The vodafone uk contains normally uk, france and german language.

Not sure if hBoot really does matter but for me it worked with hboot 0.93 (S-OFF)
but I had 2.10 running with 0.75 even if 2.10 was shipped with a newer version of hboot.

Should work with any GSM Desire.
There are some more languages in it.

You'll need a gold card if your original ROM version wasn't x.xx.161.x as that's the Vodafone vendor code, just as WWE is x.xx.405.x

yes! i cant confirm unrevokes works with this RUU

Made this for myself but it is not fully tested...
Based on Vodafone UK 2.33.161.2 from OP
- Rooted
- App2SD (required EXT2 or EXT3 Partition. EXT4 is not supported)
- Added Busybox + run-parts support
- moved dalvik-cache to SD
- Full Deodexed
- apk signed
- zipaligned
- Boot sound disabled
- removed radio
- removed hboot
Let me know if you want to try it and I will upload it somewhere.

I don’t see any changes only more language than the EMEA_DE
The wlan is faster in download the Google map is loading faster now
To flash it I copy it on the SDcard and rename it to update.zip and booted the table in the recovery and the magic just happened it start flashing

It seems some user cannot flash this ROM. I don't know why and I don't even have an A700 to check
A guy on another forum did, however, report better gaming performances.

Before I did flash the rom the bootloader was Unlock of a700
I think its lock again after I flash this rom because I don’t see the unlock message on boot
I suppose they need to Unlock bootloader to flash the rom

Will i loose my settings and data if i instal the Update.zip?

BUT i think it was worth it.
Overall performance is a bit better, especially browsing and launcher/drawer performance.
And please note: YOU DON'T HAVE TO UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER TO INSTALL AN UPDATE.ZIP !

totally works.
Just tested with my 1TB and played Avatar in 1080p like a charm.

To the people who are not able to install the update, did you use the exact same method that doanb555 posted ??

You have to put the zip file on the extern sd card!!!

@paugustin: maybe put that in the 1st post too.

Yep good idead, it was so obvious to me that I didn't even think about it. It's the cas for any Acer Tablet, update files HAVE to be on external SD.

try titanium backup to fix this

Had no problem rooting mine after update. I am getting a message in titanium about non journal su access, it offers to fix this but fails. Any ideas on how to solve? Touch screen sensitivity is perfect now.

No need, the script DID root the tablet it just returned an error. Root is working fine .

Are you sure you executed the batch file in the right folder (ICS_rooting)? Because adb.exe (and the required dlls) are included in the download.

yes root works with this OTA update (follow the link of edit2 in first post).

Yes i'm germanischen.
This Version was preinstalled on my tablet when i got it.
When i update now, i would use the offered update when i check for updates on my tablet.

Well, I don't know whether Germanic is available as a language , but yeah that's the easiest and safest way to proceed.

My language on the tab is german.
So i have no problems and nearly all works fine.
But the touch sensity coult be better, so I hope that the update will bring better sensity than now.

hi i have htc one s c2(s3), i am tried to gain s-off but failed, i accidentally delete my stock rom backup...now i am in middle of no where..i am unable to install any rom and using TWRP because no other recovery is working plz help

Which twrp do you have? Try with different version like 2.3..x.y. You can find older versions on Internet, or newer... Flash it trough bootloader, with command fastest flash recovery name_of_recovery.img
EDIT: I see now that you have TWRP 2.6.0.0. I didn't even know that this version exists for our phone. No wonder you are having troubles. Try with 2.4.1.0 or lower!

You are right, I haven't noticed this, he should first unlock the phone trough HTC unlock bootlader.

Feels like it's slower somehow. WhatsApp used to be super fast but it loads like a full 1 second after updating. Other apps are affected too.
Not too sure about other users.

For me bad battery time after upgrade and some problem with my phone provider less sensibility dbm in reception...mi mix 2s in italy

Does anyone have problem with reading mode ? I'm stuck with it ...

Never really understand clearly about anti rollback on Mi stock rom. Once flash this android 11, can I easily flash back to android 10?
