I don’t see any changes only more language than the EMEA_DE
The wlan is faster in download the Google map is loading faster now
To flash it I copy it on the SDcard and rename it to update.zip and booted the table in the recovery and the magic just happened it start flashing
It seems some user cannot flash this ROM. I don't know why and I don't even have an A700 to check
A guy on another forum did, however, report better gaming performances.

Before I did flash the rom the bootloader was Unlock of a700
I think its lock again after I flash this rom because I don’t see the unlock message on boot
I suppose they need to Unlock bootloader to flash the rom

I did loose my settings and apps, yes.
BUT i think it was worth it.
Overall performance is a bit better, especially browsing and launcher/drawer performance.
And please note: YOU DON'T HAVE TO UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER TO INSTALL AN UPDATE.ZIP !
(hold power-button + volume[with the 2 black knobs] and confirm with the volumebutton again)

Also what is your current ROM version ?

Rogermiet is right!
I actually had the update.zip on my external!
@paugustin: maybe put that in the 1st post too.
Yep good idead, it was so obvious to me that I didn't even think about it. It's the cas for any Acer Tablet, update files HAVE to be on external SD.

Would love it if you (or your source) could keep an eye out for a US file, since the US A700's are being shipped now.
Or better yet, share the magical secret on how/where to find these "leaks" and I'll keep an eye out for US files. :fingers-crossed:
Thank you sir!!
Hi. Please rename title. It's not a rom. just firmware (leak). the second is leak release candidate. Thank you in advance
flash leak RC ok on external sd.

The recovery builder is now building version 6 of the recovery. The main changes are as follows:
Backups are much faster. 4-5x faster. (Bug fix due to excessive status updates of the UI and new backup technique)
Incremental backups are smaller. Way way smaller. Only 15-20MB each for each additional backup of a ROM. This is done using a new tool I wrote to dedupe the files between incremental backups to eliminate duplicates.
Here's a test build for maguro (Galaxy Nexus GSM):
http://download.clockworkmod.com/test/maguro-test-recovery.img
And the builder site:

Still in alpha, please test.

I made a build for defy(as attachment in this post).
It seems you have to press both vol up/down at the same time once so it says "Back menu button enabled".
Before you do that, the power-button will just show/hide the menu.

Thanks for this, I ran out of thanks today.
Edit: U need to press the home button continously untill a msg comes "back menu button enabled". The power button for selection can work only after this.
I tried to restore with this recovery but it gave me error saying, "unable to format /data". Can somebody else test it. Maybe bcoz the recovery is still in alpha.
Great job ... i make a lot of backups while testing n jumping frm one rom to the next ... increased speeds are always welcome ....
Cool, thanks very much!!!

Are you sure you executed the batch file in the right folder (ICS_rooting)? Because adb.exe (and the required dlls) are included in the download.

Yes i'm germanischen.
This Version was preinstalled on my tablet when i got it.
When i update now, i would use the offered update when i check for updates on my tablet.
Is this the right way?
Gesendet von meinem A510 mit Tapatalk 2
Well, I don't know whether Germanic is available as a language , but yeah that's the easiest and safest way to proceed.
My language on the tab is german.
So i have no problems and nearly all works fine.
But the touch sensity coult be better, so I hope that the update will bring better sensity than now.

it seems it the case
As I got my hands with a full listing of Acer firmwares, I think those datas could interest some members here.

Hello,
i did the JB 4.1.2 2.0.4 B92M AZK succeesfull on my b92m, but when i did a reset to system factory install on phone, phone have no android anymore
any idea how to fix, i can boot whit cwm, but that all, zip files on sdcard (ext) are not founded, when i flash whit system, and try advabce recovery, always say, nothing found
what can i do ?
Is there a list of unwanted/unneeded system apps somewhere, wich are safe to remove?
Verstuurd van mijn GT-P6210 met Tapatalk
I can't flash any ROM cause Windows recognises the device as Pulid F13. Anyone else had this issue? Other than that the phone seems to work fine.

There is no CM 10 for this phone. You can use only 2.0.4 B92M AZK or the Version 1.3 from IWT.
IWT is working also for a Version JB 4.2...

wow, thats not nice of them. they gave smart stay but no smart rotation?? how is project butter?
Overall it seems fine. I like that they are going on Holo more but the toggles seems ugly. What you pretty much saw on S3 is there. Some changes here and there but overall it's great.
Has anyone tried the old root method? I don't want to risk bricking it.

I tried the CWM patch, to apply the root patch through CWM, but the package's signing verification failed.
I also tried unlock root, but it also failed...

Here are fully flashable ROM packages (root with the latest SuperSU 1.75, busybox, zipaligned, with init.d support) both odex and deodex. I flashed in Philz Touch after full wipes. Both booting/running without issue. Feel free to use them as you see fit. Wipe system AND data before flashing. During Setup, it hangs at the first Welcome Just a sec... screen for a minute or two. Be patient, it will eventually continue to the Wireless setup then the rest of the setup. Thanks for the dump @baadnewz.
Deodex
Odex
formula84 said:
Thanks, question did the odex rom go through any scripts or is it just stock untouched odex + root etc.?
Might sound weird but I want to run a build that is pretty much what shipped with as little modifications as possible with the exception of the things you listed. Basically curious if this is the stock odex files or if they were created by manually odexing?
