and they already have the download link in their website http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-P6200 . Do you think this is still on testing phase? and is this update "unlocked" already?

Anyone tried yet? Can it be rooted using old method?

wow, thats not nice of them. they gave smart stay but no smart rotation?? how is project butter?

Overall it seems fine. I like that they are going on Holo more but the toggles seems ugly. What you pretty much saw on S3 is there. Some changes here and there but overall it's great.
Has anyone tried the old root method? I don't want to risk bricking it.

I tried the CWM patch, to apply the root patch through CWM, but the package's signing verification failed.
I also tried unlock root, but it also failed...

4.3 Update Rolling Out To GE S4

And it started.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...e-play-edition-samsung-galaxy-s4-and-htc-one/
Probably a dumb question, but anybody know a way to force the update? I'd really like to get my phone to 100% stock, official 4.3 firmware.
I wonder how long it takes until there is a pre-rooted flashable ROM available. So glad they are updating this phone quickly.

I used the trick of clearing Google Application Framework. Worked like a charm! I'm pulling the OTA file now before I update.
Try to pull the zip file if you can. I think you can flash it with the stock recovery.
So I got the update OTA on my T-Mobile GS4 running the rom from this thread.
Anyone know what will happen if I update? I don't know if I'll lose root, recovery, etc.

and there doesn't appear to be anything in the recovery folder, and not this is in lost+found:

I am on a Google Edition I9505G, I reverted back to stock recovery and was able to flash this just fine. Your mileage may vary if you do not have a GT-I9505G. It may turn your device into a lawnmower...I just dunno.
I'll inspect when I get home. The ATT and I9505 are pretty much the same. I've been running I9505 GE ROM without issue for a bit while. If its just a kernel and system update then it should be fine. We will see shortly.
Can you still get the OTA if you are rooted? I've cleared Google Service Framework but I'm still not getting it.
Haven't noticed it mentioned on any websites yet, but a notable change is with cover view, we reverted from thin font time to Google favored fat hours & skinny minutes. Yuck.

as far as mods go, this is from the stock firmware so any mods that are being made for the new nexus 7 should work fine (for example the advanced power menu that i added). that goes for kernels too, those are device specific, not rom specific

Xposed works on 4.3. You have to install 2.1.4 then flash a zip in recovery.
I'm not sure if you just missed them or what, but some of the Google apps you said you had removed are still in the zip. Currents, Earth, Ears, Games, and then I stopped looking. It's not a big deal, I'm removing them from the downloaded zip, but I wanted to let you know!
And in advance, thanks for the ROM.

well this is based on the released firmware, if there is a patch out there for that, i will see if i can get it included, otherwise i will wait for the next firmware update which will probably have it in there.
no my next release would be a couple of mods im working on, which in reality can be zip files to flash so you wont need to reinstall or reflash the whole thing, but will also be added to the rom as well for anyone who has not tried this one yet

[Q] How to root Asus memo pad 10 ME102A 4.2.2

What's up guys? First post on this website. I've been trying to search for a previous post on how to root this tablet but they all either don't work anymore or aren't for my Android version. I have an Asus memo pad 10 ME102A with Android version 4.2.2.
Has anyone been successful in rooting this device? From what I've researched so far rooting the device is possible. If anyone has any insight into the process I would greatly appreciate it.

I first started making roms for my telechip ICS tablet. Sow cm9 is te source i have on my laptop.
This Asus tablet hase JB on it sow i gues i will make CM10 when i finisch building a working cm9. I will alsow make cm11.
And than cm12. But cm12 will need a differant java version installed i think. I will use a program like vmware to build cm 10,11 and 12 i think.

I have ported roms in the past to Kindle Fire HD from the Nexus tabs. It's way easier to port than to build a rom from scratch. The tricky part is finding the easiest roms to work with.

Well I would think that you would need a working custom recovery with external SD card support first. Though the big feature I am looking forward to is a kernel that supports Roehsoft Ram Expander (swap) which while it works fine on my S3 does not work at all on the Tab 4 7.0.

I resstored the device in odin to the latest factory firmware then flashed the twrp in odin, rebooted directly to recovery and flashed supersu. Rebooted to system, set up all my stuff and flashed the new twrp over the old twrp using rashr. I had to reboot once to set up rashr before i could flash but, it all worked perfectly for me

You may have to update some Samsung apps for them to work. Also, night mode doesn't fully work (some Samsung apps not included in it). Also, much faster and smoother; however, slightly faster battery drain for me. All the new software is a plus though. The important bugs are similar to bugs on official betas for s9.

Thanks for the update. I will probably wait and stay on Oreo for now, but I will admit, my fingers are itching and I'm very tempted to give this leak a try. Then the part of my brain ? that handles logic and common sense kicks in again and tell me to wait.
My wifi is connecting but not transferring any data. Any ideas?

Just try to clear cache from boot.
Also, tonight my phone suddenly get into the "Upload Mode". I don't know what's wrong with this but still working.

I would suggest you using modded odin. I also had an unlocked snapdragon S8 US variant SMG950U1 as well and when I flashed the Odin files for CRK1 my device became a Verizon S8 model SMG950U...CRK1 (no longer unlocked but has bloatware). Once the base model is CRK1, you have to download 2 update.zip files. CRK1 to CRL1 and CRL1 to DRL6.
Follow the instructions from the link provided from OP on the first post.
