Got mine this afternoon and I'm coming from a Verizon Incredible running CyanogenMod 7 so I have quite a lot of Android experience and I've seen the latest stuff (gingerbread). I also have a XOOM.
So I got my G2X and here are my impressions:
++ Screen is just WOW. Coming from AMOLED I was not expecting much but it really blew me away - it's almost too bright from what I'm used to. Outdoors it is super easy to read which is a big plus from an AMOLED. Would have been perfect with qHD but the current resolution is good enough for me
++ Build quality is superb. Very solid in hand, no creaks or cheap feeling parts. Back feels good and side is great. Mine came with a nice screen protector already on the screen so I'm leaving it on for now. It seems pretty high quality. I love the weight/feel of it though.
++ Speaker on the bottom. Sounds OK...the notifications/ringtones are super loud but the music didn't seem as loud? Not a big deal. It sounds better than when the speaker is in the back like the Inc.
++ WiFi is mind blowing fast. I get 30mbps/15mbps on my N Wifi. Thats as fast as an iPad2 and XOOM and a little slower than an i7 Macbook Pro!! This thing is balls out fast on WiFi if you have N. Worth getting an N router if you don't!
++ Cell signal seems good although it seems slow to pickup/switch from WiFi to 3G, etc. Haven't used it enough to make a judgement on this. Speed outdoors with full bars and 4G showing is just so-so...about 1.5mbps down and 1.5mbps up. But then again I'm in NYC area so too many people probably.
++ Speed - this thing is a beast. 2500+ in quadrant stock and just very speedy in using apps. The browser seems responsive and flash seems very smooth in general. Downloads (see wifi speed up) from Market and installs are blindingly fast.
++ No crapware!! Only stuff is TMobile apps which are reasonable like myAccount and mydevice, etc. I can live with that. The games they put on are pretty awesome (Nova and NFS is a good start).
++ Wifi Calling - never had before and I think it's awesome. Seems to work quite well. When on, the cell signal bars go to zero so I'm guessing it turns off the cell radio? is this true? If so that'd be good.
++ Boot time is kind of ridiculously fast - about 10-15 seconds on average from cold start.
-- Stock Froyo launcher is mehh. Was fun for a bit but then I couldn't stand the 5 screens and lack of functionality. I ended up sticking launcher pro on it and so far it's good although LP is smooth/fast it's still laggy at times which is odd. On the bright side, I can run the Nexus Live wallpaper and it seems to have no impact on overall performance
-- I miss Gingerbread more than I thought. Mainly text selection is none existent in Froyo and it's annoying to say the least
-- Car Home that comes with the G2X is old and crappy. You can't install the new one from Market because it's not marked as compatible. I was able to BT the file over from my Incredible and luckily it installed fine and seems to work.
I haven't had a chance to play with the cameras yet and haven't had a chance to test the battery either so will post back if there's any surprises on those.
Overall I'm very happy so far. I'm going to try it out for a week or two and then if I still love it, port over my Verizon #. Any questions?
See my post further down!!! There are 2 items that may be issues for people!!

Not sure about first boot but based on Anandtech's review of the O2X and what I'm seeing in OS monitor only looks like 384!! 128MB of the 512MB ram is dedicated to the Nvidia GPU/CPU so that only leaves 384.
OH and one other thing that's extremely annoying is how the SD card is handled in this phone. The internal 5GB of free storage is actually mounted as SDCARD!!! /mnt/sdcard
The external SD card is mounted as /mnt/sdcard/_ExternalSD
So any and all apps end up writing to the internal 5GB and not the external SD. You have to have apps that can have paths changed and I guess you can still store pictures, music and other junk on the SD card but you'll end up using your internal 5GB for most app stuff whether you like it or not!!
So that's a big --- for me I forgot to add
Great summary, thanks for that !

I don't know if you travel internationally but WiFi calling is a lifesaver. Anywhere you can connect to the Internet all the calls you make are counted as U.S. domestic against your U.S. minutes. I'm in Europe and Asia a lot and it's saved me a fortune in roaming charges. I just used it on a cruise ship to call home for the 25 cents a minute the ship charges for WiFi access. You can also use it on GoGo to call and text from planes. I've done the latter but wouldn't want to become a national security risk doing the former. And yes, it deactivates the radio so calls, text, and data are transmitted via WiFi.
Thanks for the early review. I played with in the store the other day, and the screen is nice. I currently have a nexus s, and the G2x screen is on par with the nexus s. The G2x actually has more pop with the color. The phone feels well made, and it's a beast very snappy. I'm still debating, whether to sale my nexus s. Decisions decisions.
How is the GPS accuracy guys? Can you post a few screenshots from GPS status app from market?
Call quality? Maybe it's just my ears, but my vibrant really bites when it comes to this. Too low without HAC and everyone always sounds muffled..

A few calls I've made the earpiece is very clear and loud...couldn't put it at full volume because it was too loud which is a good thing. My Inc's earpiece was somewhat quiet.
I too was amazed at how great the screen is. It's bright and the colors POP! The blacks are not as rich as Sammy's but to me the display looks better because that bluish tinge is not on the G2x. I can't wait to get gingerbread on here and then this will probably end up being my favorite device to date.

This is basically the same as the Vibrant (what I used to have until recently). That amount of available memory is plenty imho. The "sdcard, _externalsd" thing is getting to be pretty standard from what I understand. However, I could still move a great number of apps over to the external SD if I wanted (never really wanted to though).
I wouldn't have minded a bit more internal storage (coming from 16 Gig on the Vibrant), but 5 Gig is still pretty good. With 16, I really never used my external SD at all. With 5, I may have to put some on each or use the external as primary storage and internal for apps and roms (no big deal).
I'm picking 7mbps inside home which usually its not good signal. My Tb have very bad 4g signal inside here. But out when tb gets good lte signal it blows the G2x but overall its a great phone. A keeper

I agree, this will be fine for me, I'm used to my vibrant like that.. 5 is plenty for apps and data, then ill use my sd for multimedia ..
Awsome device, no problems.
Got it yesterday, charged it up. So no problems thus far. No reboots,no stalls.
Its as quick as hell, and seems to be holding a charge pretty well.
Holds a 4g signal better than the MyTouch 4g it replaced.
Screen is beautiful. Better than the SGS4G i replaced with the MT4G.
Contrary to what everyone is saying the 512mgs of ram seems to have no negative impact on performance.
IMO this would be an appropriate upgrade for anyone with a SGS4G,G2,MyTouch4G or Cliq 2. It screams speed.

Ok so a few things I'm not liking about the Vibrant 4G are:
-Internal memory removed
-No camera flash
-Can't record videos with FFC unless using QIK
-Can't switch to FFC in yahoo video chat
-No FFC auto focus or effects
-Tons of bloatware (which most I already removed)
This is all I can think of right now but feel free to add a few more things to the list guys

Also some of us who own the 4G have problems with the:
- GPS
- battery life
These are clearly evidenced by the many threads and posts of users having those specific issues.
What is the point of this thread other than to whine and moan? This phone has been out less than a week guys, we don't even have CWM yet for crying out loud. We have no idea the potential this phone might have yet.

Yeah I love the speed, its deffinatly a noticable step up from my Mytouch 4g. I Like that the MyTouch 4g came with stock mobile hotspot activated, flash on the camera and the FFC on MyTouch 4g was noticably better quality camera than the Vibrant 4g is. Other than that it's Stupid that they took out the 16gb internal memory. But Im sure some sick ROMs will come out for this phone.
You should take GPS and battery life off of the list, there are like 2 people having that problem lol
can some one enlighten me on what's the deal with the part that says the internal storage have been removed???

Yes im new an all... but if we knew for months that the there was no camera flash and the internal memory was reduced (with expandable increased)... Who buys it , then complains about the issues already documented?

Where does T-Mobile hire these people? Seriously. They told me that it had honeycomb on it when I bought it. I picked up the demo phone, went to about phone, and showed them that it had Froyo. They didn't believe me and insisted that it did in fact have honeycomb on it.... I guess thankfully if we're on here chances are we're smart enough to do our own research and know for the most part what we're getting into with any phone purchases.
I only go into the store to buy accesories , i never those people questions , they never know.

TO The Numerous People Who Whine and Complain About This:
Android 2.2 supports the ability to run applications from the microSD card.
OMG It doesn't have alot of internal storage... who cares? If you're running a Class 4, 5 or 6 SD card it doesn't matter.
Additionally I like the ability to upgrade my SD storage whenever I want.
It came with a 16gb SD card anyhow.
I didn't buy a Nexus S (16gb internal, no microSD) because it didn't support SD storage.
Stop whining and complaining about the fact that it doesn't have internal storage... it's getting old.

FYI, if you buy a branded phone from a carrier you get bloatware, plain and simple.
Don't want bloatware? Root and remove like you already did. Feel lucky, the Epic 4G comes with way more crapware.
OR Buy a google experience phone like a G2.
FYI, internal memory wasn't removed, it was reduced.
FYI, the SGS4G has amazing night mode, frankly I don't like flash.
if I should return this phone or not.
I am coming from the old MT3G, so this is a serious upgrade for me, and I am loving every thing about it, except the memory issue for the apps.
I know that the LG Optimus g2X is probably coming out this month on Tmo, and probably could get on that instead.
I am trying to get everyones opinion on this ... just to get the pros and cons of this compared to that of the LGs.
Would appreciate if you guys can give me your input......
EDIT:
Also, is it possible to return it rooted? Do I need to reload all the bloatware I deleted?
I like the phone, but I cannot recommend over the mytouch 4g. I have both.
+ The screen is amazing, and a huge selling point
+ Takes some of the best HD video ive ever experienced on a mobile phone
+ Snappy phone, no real issues as far of everyday use. It truely is a great phone.
+ Data speeds are very good
- The cheezyness of touchwiz UI and the extreme bloatware
- Totally nerfed the memory, combined with bloatware I only had like 400mb of memory available, why samsung?
-/+ no Flash on Camera, sorry. Camera performs well, but video is very good. Actually takes half decent pics in dim lighting. But having the option for flash would help, again..why samsung?
Other little things with the stock rom, like the browser not able to load in desktop mode and the very well hidden mobile hotspot are annoying but im sure will be resolved with custom Roms.
This phone couldve been a home run, but samsung only trades off some luxuries hardwarewise. The shipping software is tragic, but XDA im sure will come to the rescue. So with that...im keeping it.

i've worked a couple of refurb centers for cell phones and you can return a phone to them with a full custom rom on it if you want. they don't care. they just replace hardware and plastics as necessary and EVERY phone gets plugged in and returned to a factory image. with that in mind... don't tell customer support anything over the phone that would prevent them from setting you up for a phone swap. lol
as for the phone's app issue... not really an issue if you have a moderate understanding of android and know how to move apps to external sd. all in all the phone is great... i recommend it. improved sound and video recording over the original Vibrant. i still have my original Vibrant so i compare them off and on. drastic improvements in some areas such as GPS. no change in others.
give it a go... you've got nothing to lose.
Return it and wait for something better.
I literally can't wait to get my replacement Vibrant 3g in the mail, so I can take this thign back.

I definitely want to give this one a try, as said coming from the old MT3G, this is a good upgrade, snappy fast. Yes apps can be handled using the app2sd etc, but if waiting for a few more days or weeks will get me a phone where this is not going to be a tradeoff, then I keep thinking that it might be worth waiting.

Ohh no way am I going for the MT4G, they were giving it at free at Costco - from where i upgraded to the SG4G, but chose not to.. nice try though
The only one I think I wanna wait for is the LG phone, since its to be, APPARENTLY, original android etc and it might have the 1 or 2 GB space for apps. Of course its dual core etc, and might get ginerbread much earlier then the samsung.
The drawback on the LG is the screen resolution. And we dont know how the battery life is going to be on it or any other issues.

Extreme bloatware? Have you seen a Epic 4G stock... now that is extreme bloatware compared to this.
Additionally, DoubleTwist AirSync is $5, so yeah I guess it's bloatware if you don't use it, but otherwise it's a bonus.
Honestly, I still don't understand everyone's complaint about internal memory. Move the app to the 16gb SD they provided.
Additionally, I was going to get the Nexus S but then I found out it has 16gb internal but no microSD support. I like the ability to change my storage space.
I am also coming from a My Touch 3g (3.5) and I really love the Galaxy S. I was up in the air between Nexus S, My Touch 4g, and this one. The Nexus lost out because no memory slot, the My Touch seemed a little slower (perception maybe) and the screen was not as nice. I can live with the on board memory since I can do a 32 gig card and run most apps that way. Will I regret not waiting...maybe but right now it is the best phone I have had it was easy to root and remove all the garbage I didnt want.
So I say keep it

Memory IS an issue. With the type of processor this phone has is geared toward gaming and video. Gaming is great on this phone, but alot of the high quality games needs system resources and still needs a sizable amount of memory on the phone even with SD card data moved, not to mention even the apps that have to use system resources and cannot be moved. From my experience, the paltry memory was used real quick, and I'm not the only one.

No I haven't seen Epic 4g stock.
Im a 6yr Tmobile employee, I beta test and get my phones free, so I've been thru almost all our phones. This one has to have the most on board "bloatware" I've come across out of all our phones. Now bloatware to me by definition are software that should be OPTIONAL to the end user but is not and remains on the phone using memory and not being used.
A few apps I don't use and would like to be removed,
amazon mp3 - 1.12mb
Tmobile Backup- 1.15mb
Kindle- 2.68mb
Layer- 3.0mb
Media Hub- 4.47mb
My Account- 1.35mb
Slacker Radio- 2.40mb
T-Mobile TV- 4.48mb
TeleNav GPS- 1.97mb
ThinkFree Office- 9.18mb
Y! Finance Clock- 1.2mb
Now thats only app size, not to mention the cached data and background resources these apps use. And thats just some of the stuff, I do use some of the other apps already on the phone.
Really the point I'm trying to make is that most upper tier Android phones, (which this should fall in that catagory) should almost be a prerequisite to have a sizable amount of onboard memory available to the end user and this one doesn't. Why does the vibrant have sizable memory and this doesn't?
And BTW, I do not know why everybody is dogging the MyTouch 4G, it can do everything the Gs4G can do, and has memory and camera flash and only .2 of an inch smaller screen, and of course HTC made so updates and large XDA support. Like I said...I like the Galaxy S 4G but feel I made a lateral move from the MyTouch 4G.

Keep in mind though that posting here you're going to get quite a biased userbase. People who buy the SNS tend to do so because they're fans of the stock android experience and will put up with a few bugs to have it (none as big as not having working GPS for far too long...).
I came from the vibrant and I'm very pleased so far. stock android is awesome and I've had excellent gps so far. I haven't experienced any of the bugs some people have been having either.
overall a solid phone. I would recommend it for sure.

I came from a vibrant and paid launch price for mine. At that price I have zero regrets and am really happy with the upgrade. At half the price, I wouldn't think twice. Go for it!
i came from iphone 3g, and did a LOT of research for a long time before deciding on the Nexus S. honestly, i love this phone. and a lot of people have asked me about it wanting to know what it is (it's not released in Aus yet).
my opinion may be a bit biased due to the benefits of android (coming from ios), rather than this phone specifically, but hardware wise at least, it feels solid, it performs very well, the screen is awesome, it looks elegant (no branding on the face - a requirement for me). the main hardware downside is that the storage can't be expanded. though i'm used to that, and i can live with 16gb. also the small bump at the back on the bottom may not appeal to some people; i like it though - easiest/fastest way to tell top from bottom on this phone, particularly in the dark, haha.
i would say just go into bestbuy and play with the phone in-store.

MicroSD is not a problem for me and in Engadget's review of the SGS4G they compared its data speed to the Nexus S and found that it was really not much faster. Of course as the 4G tech gets better, the speeds will get faster but by the time it matters you'll most likely be shopping for a new phone.
sd is not a problem for me. I have about 6.5 gb of music and then I use up 1 or 2 more gb for pictures, apps, etc.
4g isn't upsetting for me either. I get about 5 mb download speed in my area on 3g and that's good enough for me. I mainly use wifi for big file downloads.

Sweet. I've been wanting the Nexus since it launched, but told myself to wait for a 4.3 inch android, but at only 100 Idk if I can pass that up. The 4g is not a deal breaker the no microsd slot was.but even now my 16gig micro is not even half full.

Depends what you plan to do with a Nexus S. Do you plan to create apps, or root, or flash a lot of ROMs, load a lot of custom skins and whatnot? If so, then yes. It sounds like a dream come true if you are into that stuff.
However, if you plan to use the NS as is, I would actually not recommend it. I love the Android platform, but I've also been very critical of it for it's, unfortunately, many shortcomings. The vanilla Android OS is chock full of glitches ranging from minor, to annoying, to major problems. It's great that you get direct and timely updates from Google, but I'm discovering more and more that all that means is you're their beta tester. Some people get a kick out of that, and some don't.
Do as much research as you can; like Kenvan mentioned though, you have to keep in mind you're in a Nexus S forum. The feedback will likely be bias and skewed.
And if you haven't actually handled a Nexus S, definitely do so, and spend a lot of time with it. Good luck, have fun.

Yea I like to flash roms and right now its pretty dead in the vibrant section that's why im considering the nexus.

I dunno I wouldn't waste an upgrade on it and shell out 100 if you already have a vibrant granted nexus s is better I'd probley wait for something else at this point I sold my vibrant for 300 at the time but I burned an upgrade I guess you can do the same I did

Coming from a Hero and an Epic 4G, I can say that even with the existing issues, the Nexus S delivers the Android experience I'd been expecting all along. The phone simply feels responsive in a way that OEMs seem to destroy with their crappy add-ons.
If you felt like your Vibrant had no right to be so sluggish with a 1GHz CPU, then go for it. I paid full price for my NS and it was totally worth it. If anything you won't get those stupid battery-full popups or the bleeps when getting/losing a cell signal.
I wouldn't recommend it. And this isn't a "troll-no," as someone so fanboyishly put it.
The phone itself is absolutely gorgeous. I love how light it is and the screen is wonderful. It's funny the hardware was the thing I was worried about most before I purchased and it's ended up being the one thing I really like about the phone.
The software ruins it for me - and many others, I suspect. There are so many little things about it that go wrong that it's a frustrate-fest for me.
Examples?
Downloads from browser/market are unsuccessful 50-75% of the time.
The phone still loses mobile network connection many times. While it doesn't seem to need a full reboot anymore for me, it still requires an Airplane mode on/off to remedy.
I've still had reboots - just last week it rebooted in the middle of the night and got stuck on the boot screen, making me late for work since the alarm didn't go off
Google Voice constantly has a wakelock issue for me. If I don't catch it early in the day it ends up sucking over 25% of my battery. A reboot will fix it. But now, reboots seem to be deleting my widgets.
T-Mobile's service is pretty bad for me - I know it's not really fair to count as a problem, but dropped calls are even worse than when I had the iPhone on ATT. That said, the problem is not so bad when I'm at home and not moving, and the HPSA speeds I get when I have "H" signal are very, very nice.
This is my 4th Android phone - while I love Google and all they do and stand for, I've actually gotten tired of waiting for the perfect Android experience. I thought SNS would be it, being the "Google phone" per se. Many frustrating bugs and glitches have lead up to one very dissapointing experience.
I hate to say it but I'll probably be eyeing the "iPhone 5" come summertime.

Yes for the pure google experience
No due the hardware, there are better hardware on the market already
Yes for the price
No due the contract
...It's your choice to make
The ultimate question you should be asking yourself is
Do you want to FLASH ROMs and Customize the phone with very Nerdy and Geeky codes, not easy for the regular user, that just wants a phone to play with?
if you answer is Yes, then go for it
If you answer is no, not sure, not ready, not really, i don't know
then i'll suggest you to look for another phone
Alright guys, I just saw pictures of the new Droid Bionic and I gotta say.....WOW. I am really blown away and I think I really want this, plus, moto said there going to unlock bootloaders (not quite sure why everyone forgot this http://pocketnow.com/android/motorola-promises-android-bootloader-unlock-in-late-2011). What do you guys thing? This phone is one hell of a beast but I also am in love with sense but blurs been winning me over. Thoughts?!?!?
2 fascinates and 2 droid x's later i can say if it aint stock android or htc sense i dont want it.
If it has unlocked bootloader so u can run cm7 then thats a different story but dont hold ur breath.
It's all personal preference. If you want to shell out the money for a bionic go ahead. I am quite happy with my thunderbolt. I really don't see how my experience can be improved much. But then again personal experiences vary.

My expierence with the TB has been great but im definitly worried about our longevity because every time i think about it, the TB just seems like a test bed device for 4G. Ill be honest, the only thing holding me back is HTC Sense because I love the heck out of HTC Sense but I really need that next gen power.
I say give the Bionic a look. The hardware looks great and the new Blur is actually really good.

I don't believe it until I see it (or confirmed by outside users)
referring to the unlocked bootloader claim.

Thats moto official right there, of course there going to do it (Okay I do realize i sound pretty nieve right there), but still Verizon confermed that they have no problems with letting unlocked bootloaders on their networks so I dont see why it wouldnt happen
I don't think I would believe the "no-locked-bootload" bit until I see it.
No Brainer
HTC Thunderbolt
1) When we need to have conference call we use anyone else's phone because the external speaker on the TB sounds like crap.
2) The ear speaker is so high pitched and scratchy sounding it actually hurts!
3) Mine has a bad head phone amp. (can't add base).
4) battery lasts 4 hours.
5) Takes forever to find satellites.
6) Random reboots.
7) Who needs sense when 3rd party launchers and widgets are better and more configurable.
I could keep going but you're probably bored already. The only thing good about the HTC is it's looks. I'd go for the Moto or wait for a dual core Samsung.
@mcargil05
It sounds like you've had nothing but problems. I am surprised you haven't traded the TB for something else. My speakerphone & ear speaker are no better or worse than any other phone I've used. When I stream music over audiogalaxy thru my car aux port, it sounds as good as my ipod. If your phone amp is bad, that should be covered by warranty & you should be able to swap phones. If you're only getting 4 hours between charges, that's definitely a hardware issue or bad battery, or both. I got 7+ hrs on stock before flashing a battery-sipping kernel (16-20 hrs now). GPS lock in 3-7 secs depending on whether I'm indoors. I had a couple of random reboots right after flashing GB-based rom, but nothing since. It's true that Sense is kinda "take it or leave it", not a lot of customizing options there. But I think it's pretty good for a stock app & it does what I need it to do. I used Launcher Pro on my Captivate & Nexus One, and I don't miss it enough to ditch Sense. Some ppl absolutely despise Sense, so there will always be demand for alternative launchers & widgets. Good luck with your TB, if you decide to keep it.

I would trade my Bolt for a Bionic IF the bootloader is unlocked. And I wouldn't be an early adopter on the Bionic. I would only buy it after CM7 is stable on the phone. And by that time... Kal El Tegra 3 phones will be out nearly (they're due by X-Mas, and the Bionic isn't due out until August).
I would say, if you have a Thunderbolt, it's probably best to wait until Xmas/CES time the end of this year/early next year. There are going to be some crazy phones out in 6-9 months from now.
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
I am good with the Thunderbolt until early next year when we have a new crop of phones. I wanted to the Moto, but was on blackberry and didn't want to wait until the moto dropped when we kept getting pushed back to get 4g and Android goodness.
The battery could be better but I have 3 spare batteries and an external charger for them so it is all good.
Personally the screen is the killer for me. The crappy light leakage, terrible in bright lighting, and don't get me started on the spot lights. Terrible blacks. I bought a $4300 65" plasma to get an amazing picture, why would I not want that kind of picture on my phone if possible.
I dont see how comparing a $4300 dollar TV and a phone makes any sense.

Love my TBolt. Everything has been great with it so far. All the whining you are hearing are from people who haven't tinkered with their phone. Things like low battery life can be solved in a matter of minutes and a google search. I am now going on 10 hours with 65% battery left, which is better than my old X.
Plus I got it on a 2 year plan so 1. I will hopefully be grandfathered into 4G and 2. Will have plenty of time to see how new phones are going to develop before jumping right into them (Kind of like what I did with my TB).
I see nothing but good for the TB for at least another year. Soon the RIL will be released alongside of Gingerbread with 4G speeds. Come on you can't go wrong.

I've been using the Atrix 2 for a few days now and and seriously considering returning it.
I really want to like this phone but so far something about it just seems "off"
I don't like the camera, I have issues with wifi, and even though the GPS says accurate to 10 meters, when I am in my back yard, google maps satellite view shows me in my neighbor's yard.
I love the size and build quality and the screen is beautiful.
I'm eligible for upgrade in late january. Should I just suffer, then sell and get the Galaxy Nexus when it comes out, or move to the SGS II now and sell it (probably for more money)
My other concern is the locked bootloader. I've never had a phone without access to ROMS and kernels. I know it's a new phone, been out a month or so, but are there any Motorola Phones that have NOT been able to be unlocked eventually?
I'd love some input.
i'm in the same boat.
if development seemed like it was moving somewhere, i wouldn't feel so much like returning it. but, the development section is a ghost town, doesn't seem promising for the atrix 2.
I'm going on vacation next week to disney so I'll put the phone through it's paces, really USE the camera and make my decision when I get home. I still have time.
Like I said I want very much to like the phone.
Same here. I miss my HTC sense already.something just not right about the ATRIX. Considering exchanging for a free inspire4g. Virtuous unity rocks on that phone. Atrix2 camera is really crappy, and having wifi issues.

I agree that the camera leaves a lot to be desired (at least the software that powers it). I can't speak to your WiFi issues, as I haven't had any problems with mine.
10 meter GPS accuracy is about 35 feet. So if you have a small yard it's entirely possible you will show up in your neighbor's yard with 10m accuracy.
My neighbors yard is a good 75 to 80 feet away.

OK, that sucks then. I still haven't even turned the GPS on since I got mine...I will do it now.
I am sitting inside my house, but the location was nearly perfect. Right over my house (albeit in a different room). Oddly, it said accurate to within 60 meters. Not sure why yours would report 10m accuracy and be so far off and mine would report 60m accuracy and be almost spot on.
Anybody else play fruit ninja? Lagggggggy. Definitely going back.
return it.

i fixed my camera gripes with camera zoom fx
my gps is really accurate, or atleast accurate enough for me, no problems there
i have no lag issues, but i don't play a lot of intensive games
i love my vehicle dock
my problems are with:
email continuously syncing, even with it set to manual fetch and push disabled
can't see the capacitive buttons when i need to, in the dark, it's fine. light, they don't need to be off, but in situations in between, it's too dark to see them, but not dark enough to trigger the led's behind them
the fact that motorola doesn't seem to really want to bother supporting the atrix 2. they haven't updated their site on accessories being available, or anywhere else for that matter. there's not even a hint of an update or them even addressing the vast amount of issues that owners have been complaining about. i would assume that 100% of their focus is on the razr.
development has gone no where fast.
however, there's nothing really worth exchanging it for on att (at least not at the same price-point. i played around with the hd7s in the store and really liked it, however, it's not a 4g phone. not that it matters since i've never hit over 5mb with my atrix 2. but the device was nice and the ui was smooth. the infuse would be a step down software wise. lg thrill, well, it's an lg...

Try using Camera Zoom FX app it really improved the quality of my pics Im really enjoying this phone but these are issues that are concerning me im hoping soon there will be a bootloader unlock too Id love to see this hardware put through its paces with some custom ROMs
I would try returning it If I were you and having all of these issues ( havent seen em tho Ive had no lag in any games ive played) and see if a different device would work better if not then just upgrade and sell no need keeping a phone you're not really happy with it.
Gunnyman sounds like you def have hardware issues. I'd take it back for a switch and play around with a new one before leaving the store and make sure it doesn't have any problems as well
